Hello Harmen! I just wanted to write that your videos inspire me to create my own content. I am a local mountain guide and photographer in Sudeten Mountains, Poland. The natural next step was film making. I started working in my immediate area because I live in beautiful mountains, in one of the national parks in Poland. You are doing a good job and your videos have a big impact on many people around the world. Great job, keep it up and thanks a lot!
I used to live in the Blue Mountains. I had to move away a few years ago. I often miss it. The sunsets, the forests, the cold misty air, the raw nature of it all. I think I left my heart there.
Harmen, I'm just blown away. You tell such a powerful story without saying a word. The drone footage is simply incredible. You're at the top of your craft, thank you for all you do.
@@coobye Give the man the benefit. My guess is that he had permission. In any case, he's probably done more to exhibit this region in all its beauty, and with a clear respect for the environment, than the National Parks has in recent history.
I grew up in the Blue Mountains, would always hike and ride my mountain bike whenever I had the chance, I've since moved away for work, your beautiful video has made me miss home.
I saw a comment on a completely seperate video, stating that the landscapes in Australia always look so vast and big, stretching out beyond the horizon. As an Australian I often think, although we haven't got the highest peaks, there is something so grand and beautiful about it all. Being able to go through pockets of forgotten rainforests amidst a sparse eucalyptus forest, all surrounded in a haze of blue, is truely wonderful. Plus our birds are awesome.
Harmen, having just watched this stunning video of the landscape I call home, I'm keenly aware of how beautifully you capture and present the essence of a place. You are 'tuned in' and talented and it's wonderful to see a place I love through your eyes.
The first bird sound, the screeching one, was a Cockatoo, probably the Sulphur Crested. The second one was a Currawong, or Mountain Magpie. I love their song as it reminds me of my childhood. Cockie's are bloody annoying, but we love em.
Another phenomenal peaceful hiking masterpiece, this is the best regular hiking channel in youtube, no trash talk, no gear adv, just the mother nature, natural sound and specular view. You're living in a dream that we all admire. hopefully there is one day I can become another one. Sub & lived. thank you Harmen. Keep producing pls.

@@HarmenHoek As a local I'm very glad that you enjoyed your time here, the Blue Mountains are truly stunning. For anyone else thinking of following your footsteps though, especially those used to colder climates, I don't recommend doing so in January like you did, since that is the hottest month in the height of bushfire season, and it's easy to underestimate how quickly heat and dehydration can turn a lovely hike into a nightmare.
My dear brother Harmen, as a strict follower of yours, I think you are a very, very good man, even though I never hear your voice. as nature lover and a walker, I watch all your videos with pleasure, I am grateful to you for these beautiful shares. You take me to the ends of the world while watching you. In my country, in the city of Rize in Turkey, there are countless routes in the Kaçkar Mountains that you should see. Since the Kaçkar Mountains are a remnant of the ice age, there are great routes without people at approximately 3000-4000 meters. I strongly recommend that you plan a very nice route of 100-150 miles in length where you will take quality shots. I wanted to do you a favor by recommending this route because I thought you are a very good man.
