My OCD doesn't let me leave the oil level at half on dipstick. I put in 5 quarts and run vehicle (manually says like 4.6-4.8 quarts.) Shut off vehicle and wait 15 minutes. Check dipstick and it will be half way up, or slightly more than half way. I add about .2 quarts (just a little bit) to being it full. It will rise overnight slightly to the full line. These Sky Active engines take a while to fully drain down into pan. Mazda considers half way up as normal run. That's fine, but I like to bring it to full.
Let your oil drain completely no rush

I’m the same … I want at least the old oil replaced placed back in. However I think the way this Mazda is parked is affecting the level of it maybe??
I’m judging the owner… missing engine cover, tree debris where the wipers are, the stupid phone vent holder.
