nice video man ! dont forget to clean your valve ! i think is the most important thing to do on direct injection your car are on great shape ! compare to my rusty mazda 3 2008 !
I will love to know which SPARK PLUG GAP you use for the NGK ?? Which was the gap ?? I know they come pre gap at 0.44 but Mazda recommends 0.30 to 0.33… so not sure which one to do ?? Thank you Love your video ! Super helpful 🤙🏼
Happy to hear you're enjoying the videos! As far as GAP, the plugs came pre GAPED like you mentioned and I went with that. I did make sure to use the EOM replacement from NGK and haven't gotten any issues yet!
I have a 2013 Mazda 3 Skyactiv and mine has a transmission fluid dipstick that I can reach after taking the air filter box out. Strange how your fill bolt is accessed from behind the driver's side wheel.
I recently just bought 2013 Mazda 3 Hatchback and am really happy about it! been thinking if i should modify my car a bit and if i were to, can you suggest where i should start from? thank you!
That's awesome! Congrats on you purchase! Really depends on personal taste and budget what you want to do first, I made a video on a free intake mod which acts like a SRI, so that's free, or if you can get your hands on Mazdaspeed parts like rear sway bar, exhaust or even brakes, they're all bolt on too our cars. I've also made videos about them if you are curious to see what they're like! 👍
I know for the skyactiv that's what they say, but when I had my white auto Mazda 3, I still flushed out the fluid and even changed the filter, and after the transmission felt a lot better shifter through gears
I just replaced the fuel strainer recently while upgrading the fuel pump, I just used an OEM one, if you check out my tune eps here you can see it: ua-cam.com/video/mIkK_kTawnM/v-deo.html
I don't find it much of an issue to be honest, you do have to drive accordingly and be more vigilant for ice or snow banks. I do have really good winter tires too, so that helps.
No automatic is a different fluid, it's also a bit different process cause you need to check the fluid levels when the transmission is at a certain temperature
Hi Bro, I liked your video. Very informative. However i dont want to embarrass you but did you consider getting an engine bay clean done??? I nearly choked on my banana seeing how filthy it is! All that effort on the other items - show some love to your car's 'mouth' if you want your assistant to keep giving you happy endings. 😂
Thanks glad you liked it! Yes 100% 😂😂 I made this video right after getting the car since I wanted to do a full service on it. But it drove me nuts to see the engine bay like his, if you check out this episode here I clean it all up: ua-cam.com/video/n2zC5i11Xr0/v-deo.html
I hope you see this message, but I’m about to go check out a 2012 Mazda 3 w/ 148,000 miles on it for 8k. Any tips on what to look for while testing the car, inspecting the engine or under carriage? I hope I don’t find anything wrong and I hope it’s worth it the price. I plan on taking this car to my grave
Hey 8k for 148k miles seems a bit much at that price the car should be in show room conditions, I paid $3000 CAD for mine with 180km or about 100k miles. The rear sway bar links are something that goes on Mazda 3, also the front control arms. If it's a skyactiv you're going to see the engines are very reliable and can make it up pass 300k miles, only real issues I've seen is the oil pressure sensor that leaks oil, on the passenger side of the car, close to where the axle is on the engine. Hope this helps
@@DrivingProduction I hope I can negotiate with them in lowering the price. People here seem to be unreasonable for the most part, but this really helped and I’m especially glad I found your channel because I’ll be going through all your videos like I’m taking finals for college again!!
@@DrivingProduction because I think you’re the guy I’ll let ya know I got a 2011 mazda 3 2.5L w/ 124,00 miles for 6k. The second day I had it the starter went out on me. So now I’m in the process of replacing that, however, the car drove great, felt smooth, and I’m excited to personalizing/modding it very soon (using your videos of course)!
@@FlipBoji Good choice, as someone who works in a used mazda parts dealer, those 2.5L motors are some of the best motors mazda has made, should be very reliable and easy to work on! Far better than the older 2.3L and even more reliable than the 2.0L in some ways. I hope you got that starter issue fixed! BTW 6k sounds like a pretty decent deal assuming its a manual 6 speed, otrherwise that auto isn't too bad.
@@Sk0die replaced the starter and everything was fine until a few days ago. Coolant was leaking out of the plastic housing on the side of the engine, so I’m replacing that this weekend
I would skip the engine flush, those products can cause more harm than good, not worth potential damage to the engine. Generally speaking, most "mechanic in a can" products are a bad idea.
Hi, so Iv watched your Chanel for a bit now, (uk based) I have a 2011 Mazda 3 sport 2.2D manual. I’m to young to get insured on a speed so I brought this Mazda can I make a speed replica out of it. Would be helpful if you could get back to me or link your social media to contact you for help!!
Hey I'm happy to hear you've been watching for a while! For the Mazdaspeed replica that is doable, most of the parts bolt right up to our Mazda 3's. The biggest part is the front end because you need fenders bumper and hood, can't just do the hood by itself for example. If you have more questions my Instagram is a the top of the channels main page! 👍
Hello, my good friend. I am Mohammad from Iran. I enjoyed it a lot. You helped me... Thank you.
That's great! I'm happy you enjoyed the video!
I have a 2011 Mazda3 and just wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos! Great explanations and you clearly show everything you do. Thank you!
That's awesome! Thanks! 👍🏻 It means a lot!
Don't ignore the suspension it's what what holds your car together including the rubber bushings and make it 8 things instead of 7.
Yes 100%, I just replaced all the bushings in the previous episode before this one that's why I didn't bring up suspension 👍
Hey man, many thanks for sharing. I'm getting a 2012 skyactiv when I arrive in NS next month. exact same blue color. Think i'll do the same.
Thanks man! Happy you enjoy the content!! That's great I'm sure you'll enjoy your new 3!! 👍

Thanks! Glad you liked the video! Yes I've been wanting to clean my valves for a long time now! I'm going to do a full video on it!
@@DrivingProduction cool i can't wait to see it
How often should you do a transmission flush?
I will love to know which SPARK PLUG GAP you use for the NGK ??

Yeah that's true!
His one was a Manual Transmission, I bet your is an Automatic Transmission

@@DrivingProduction aightt i will look into that! thanks alot!!
Also, add some demineralized water to the battery as needed
Yeah that's a great Idea!
the owners manual says the ATF should not be changed but should i still change it?
I know for the skyactiv that's what they say, but when I had my white auto Mazda 3, I still flushed out the fluid and even changed the filter, and after the transmission felt a lot better shifter through gears
Did the spark plugs come gapped when you bought them
Yes they were, but you should still double check them when you get them to install them. 👍
Hi which fuel filter fits best for this car ?
I just replaced the fuel strainer recently while upgrading the fuel pump, I just used an OEM one, if you check out my tune eps here you can see it: ua-cam.com/video/mIkK_kTawnM/v-deo.html
I’m looking into lowering my 2012 mazda 3 and i’m just wondering if you find it difficult to drive in the winter with it lowered.
I don't find it much of an issue to be honest, you do have to drive accordingly and be more vigilant for ice or snow banks. I do have really good winter tires too, so that helps.
Your coolant looks blue, was it blue when you added it?
That's what I thought also but Mazda recommends the Green Coolant and that's what I put in the car.
Mate,is the transmission fluid the same for automatic as well?
No automatic is a different fluid, it's also a bit different process cause you need to check the fluid levels when the transmission is at a certain temperature
