    Then how a uk aspiring student should prepare.
    2 what are the academic resources

      The PLAB exam will be replaced by UKMLA. That's a fact. GMC is yet to publish the format of the exam but most likely it will be similar to current PLAB exam.
      In the meantime, it's best to focus the preparation on PLAB exam.
      English exam will be mandatory.
      Age is not a barrier certainly for locum duties. But doing locum duties only without prior NHS experience has its own risks as you will be new to system.

    Sir please answer my query currently i m in plab route passed plab 1 n booked 2 , my plan is to get all the training and come back india n settle as quickly as possible
    1 ) how much minimum time this requires to be a consultant in India like after frcs i will be recognised
    2) is my MRCS and frcs without CCT (6 yr training only)is recognised in India in private as well government as surgeon if i don't have MS
    3) should i consider Indian DNB or ms as i want to come back india for full validation here
    4) how difficult is getting into surgical training in UK

    • @SumanPaulDoc
      @SumanPaulDoc  Рік тому

      1.you can be a consultant in India after CCT. I am not sure what you mean by minimum time? Time to book a flight ticket and register with NMC?
      2. MRCS is recognised in India but not FRCS. I doubt any government hospital will employ you without MS, but theoretically you are eligible.
      3.you don't need MS/DNB after CCT. But it's your choice if you want to apply again.
      4.very difficult

    Hello, My name is Dr. Vedica Sethi, and I have completed my MBBS from Tbilisi, Georgia. I hold a permanent medical license to practice in India, with 2 years clinical experience in emergency medicine and clinical cardiology. And, I am currently preparing for MRCP. While watching the videos, i have come across a form that is called the alternative certificate for core competencies. I would like to know, if having that and gmc registration with a full pass on mrcp, will make me eligible to join a medical residency in internal medicine UK. And, also if 2 form's need to be filled by the consultants in emergency medicine and cardiology, each. Thank you

      Hi Vedica, your understanding is correct that you need both alternative form and MRCP to apply for ST4 level. The form can be done by cardiology consultant being a medical specialty.
