I think it's pretty cool. I have gone all out on an n64 collection and played almost every single one recently. That one is still in my personal top 40 games for sure.
@@hummel003 No, let me correct myself. I meant every game that did well in America and/or would show up on anyone's top 50-100 list, as well as quite a few obscure ones I never heard of. I basically went crazy on them and I've boiled it down to about 50 that I can't do without and I sold the rest. The funny thing is, I found that I'm a little more predictable than I thought, because I kinda stuck with the obvious ones you might imagine that I would. So I didn't have to do all that work LOL. It was fun though!
I know it's been discussed to death, but playing Super Mario 64 for the first time as a wee little 6-year-old was life-changing. I lost countless hours just walking around the castle, exploring every corner because _it was the first time I was ever able to do anything like that!_ Making discoveries on my own (which, in retrospect, were obvious) made me feel like the world was alive, especially after growing up almost exclusively with a Sega Genesis. There are tracks of its soundtrack permanently burned into my memory for the better - like Jolly Roger Bay, Shifting Sand Land, and just the Castle's main theme - due to listening to them for hours and hours at a time. There are much better 3D platformers out there, even on the N64, but I'll never forget that first big jump from 2D to 3D. As a kid, it felt magical.
Zelda OoT will forever be my favorite game. The size of the world, the challenges and puzzles of dungeons, the side quests, and jumping in time to see how things change in the future/past was just amazing. Coupled with such a legendary soundtrack, the game is magical.
Ocarina is a terrific game indeed. But being honest and open-minded, I don't believe it's the best N64 game. It easily could be if two other games hadn't been made. Its richer and more comprehensive successor, Majora's Mask, and the most fun and magically brilliant, profound game of them all, Banjo-Tooie.
agreed if you happened to get lucky and be about 12 years old when that came out it it was a fucking golden age. I remember playing hours in that game and I had to buy a walk through guide when it came to the water temple. Some highly cherished memories
When I first heard about Zelda, it was for the super Nintendo at first. It was a regular game to me, but then ocarina of time came out and became life.💯💯💯💯
It is! And I'm equally disappointed, but not that surprised. Although, seeing some rather unexpected entries, like "Sin and Punishment" (which is very good, but most of us, probably haven't played it, before it released on the Wii VC) or a wrestling game, instead of this practically still unique and unmatched classic, irritates me. But, I think we have to face that the series is seriously dead and forgotten by the public. Same goes for "1080°" and "Excitebike", I guess.
@The Artist Formerly Known as Darth Wheezius Do you think so? My memory could fool me here, but I only experienced "Wave Race 64" and "1080°" in there PAL-Versions in my childhood and later on the VC and never thought they run poorly or were even nearly unplayable. Same goes for the Game Cube entries. But you know, we had to take what we could get and were probably eager to not see the shortcomings. :)
@The Artist Formerly Known as Darth Wheezius I 100% agree. "Sin and Punishment 2" absolutely blew me away, when it came out. Best shoot'em up I have ever played, if we can count rail-shooters as shmups, but why shouldn't we?
agreed, Wave Race deserves a spot on the list. Same goes for 1080 and Excitebike imo, they bring back great memories. Where N64 lacked in the Gran Turismo style racing games department vs Playstation, N64 had some of the most fun racing games I've ever played. I also liked World Driver Championship :D Glad that F-Zero X is on the list though!

@@michaelf9664 why wouldn't it be though? all of these lists for other consoles i've seen are ranked, kinda weird to just put this top 21 in a random order.
@@Jack_80 The video explicitly said the list isn't ranked. That doesn't mean it's random--there is a little bit of grouping by game type and series. I can only guess as to why, but because these guys have evolving ranked lists on their website by popularity, perhaps they thought this list would be a little more stable if not fully ranked. Also, it does get a bit predictable to see Ocarina at #1 and stuff like Mario 64, Super Smash Bros., and Banjo Kazooie consistently not far behind.
Well, everyone knows Banjo-Tooie is actually the best N64 game, it was loads more immersive, creative, challenging and magical, but it was the popular series Donkey Kong 64 that got to testify to this great truth. These games were on a vastly more magical, epic route that no later games would match. The industry has failed so hard to even gain the wisdom and vision to comprehend such anomalies. Even with many more flaws than Tooie or games like Majora's Mask, DK64 testified to the fact that Nintendo was in its golden years with this concept, and would never return to this age for at least three decades. They have started to again with Mario Odyssey, a game that copied parts of the fantastical but made it more mainstream and flashy and less imaginative, for those who might wish to understand again.
@@davidaitken8503 1080 Avalanche never surpassed the original. Being forced to find pieces of coins to unlock new stuff and having to constantly grind the control stick to regain balance just ruined it.
@@Reshyrah ???? I don't recall the coin collecting to be that difficult. As far as constantly spinning the control stick to regain balance, that only happens if you land wrong. You do know you're supposed to crouch when landing, right. No offense or anything, but you sound like you just suck at the game. 1080 Avalanche improved upon the original in every way. I'd practice a bit more at it before dismissing it. Especially over such trivial non-issues as those.:)
@@davidaitken8503 I'm actually a really big fan of the original 1080 snowboarding and had a ton of fun unlocking everything from the Gold rider to the Penguin board but Avalanche just didn't gel with me. I dunno, to each their own I guess.
Highly agree! Great game. Have you ever played it side by side to the cool boarders series on the playstation? They don't even hold a candle to it. I play my PS1 and N64 back to back frequently.
A person of good taste. It will never ever leave my all-time-top-10, until a new better one will be released, which, let's face it, will never ever happen. (Okay, I'm lying here, a bit, because I think I like "Blue Storm" a tad better.)
That one occupied a lot of time during my first year with an N64, of the games that really WOWed me, this was one of the two first games on the console to do that - I was also wowed by Lylat Wars. I know I’m likely to get some hate for this, but Final Fantasy 7 and 8, and Resident Evil 2 also wowed me that generation.
I loved it back in the day and managed to get to the final boss. It was very refreshing from concept to gameplay to the awesome Star Wars-type OST. It was epic.
Maybe because of the second half of that game? I still admire it. But that backtracking was not cool. First half was mind blowing. Mizar was cool too - quite a tough boss.
What about Mario Golf? I’ve put in countless hours playing that game both solo and with friends. It has the classic playful charm you’d expect from a Mario game yet the physics and mechanics are extremely solid which makes for a challenge that you can respect. There’s a bunch to unlock and plenty of challenges if you’re playing solo and there are several different multiplayer modes. It’s a game I still go back to on occasion all these years later. Also Mario tennis is another classic especially for the multiplayer.
right - diddy kong racing is so underestimated - we talk a lot about mario kart but imo DDR was better because of the adventure mode and also graphics looks so damn good for 1997
@claude122 DKR had a massively superior 1 player mode (Mario Kart is a mediocre-at-best single player), but Mario Kart is the superior multi-player game. Even little details like turning into a bomb to fuck over your brother after death add to the Mario party advantage, but the biggest difference is the larger variety of items.
Conkers is one of my favorite games of all time, and the best part is I don't know how it ended up in my house. Was maybe 3 yrs old when it came out but I remember playing it around 10 yrs old no one else played video games at my house, its a mystery to me
It was , and is to this day, one of the best multi-player games I've played. With a surprising number of game modes, in addition to the constant theme changing campaign.
@@aedge622 that's fair enough. I was just expecting something a bit more original. It's not bad, but with BK coming before it, I think I was spoilt by that.
N64 was the greatest moment in my gaming life. I'm old enough to remember seeing the 2d to 3d transformation. Also the thrill of playing ocarina of time without a single death (shout out to the bottled fairies) playing Goldeneye on multiplayer and everyone wants the snow suit, mario kart boost sliding every single corner and missing every blasted gopher, killer instinct, mortal kombat, diddy kong, the grind of donkey kong 64 and the list goes on. It was a great time I'm my life. The GameCube was awesome too but I was an older kid by then.
Same here..I was born in 88..The N64 is definitely the greatest moment of gaming for me as well followed by the Super NES.. The original NES was a little outdated by time I started playing video games around 92 so I never experienced it that much and like you said, by the time the GameCube came out, I was a teenager by then so it’s not that nostalgic for me…
Omg the shot of you on the couch with your plushies "couch co-opping" is so precious and I am very thankful that you went through the trouble of setting it up.
I know right? I still to this day will never know why we don't have a Virtual Console 2 at least as a 'Library Mode' as part of Nintendo Online. Anyway, Nintendo Online as everyone probably knows by now is hideous. I just cannot understand why Nintendo make so much hard work on the software front! Just give us VC2 already Nintendo, please!
Nintendo 64 will forever hold a special place in my heart for how unique the console and games were. In no particular order, titles that I always go back to: - 1080 Snowboarding - Shadow Man - Off-Road Challenge - WrestleMania 2000 - Star Wars Ep1 Racer - Turok 3 - Animal Forest (translation)
The first 3D game I ever played was Mario 64 and I was absolutely blown away. I had just graduated high school and bought an N64. Its still in my top 10 games of all time.
I remember being like 7 and getting one of these from my grandma cuz we found one at a yard sale. The nostalgia from super Mario 64 is crazy and I remember a racing game where there was ramps and stuff everywhere it was like retro
This was almost basically the games on my shelf back then. The N64 didn't have the widest library, but the best games on it were some of the best in the series or some of the best games of all time. Back in the day I wasn't buying 100s of games anyway, so I didn't really care about that criticism. Rare in particular were at their absolute peak. The variety of genres and level of quality of games they put out is insane for one studio. Between them and Nintendo, it was almost all I needed, but it did have some extra gems outside that. Wrestling games in particular have just gone downhill since in my opinion.
I'm so thankful my parents bought us Trek mountain bikes, rollerblades, a basketball hoop, rope swing, taught us to garden, and went camping. Kids should be outside playing as much as possible. Sleeping outside. Building forts. I stayed outside a lot as kid lol
Best gaming time of my life. Goldeneye was my number one. I still play it to this day. Second spot is hard. Probably a three way tie between Banjo, Mario 64 and Ocarina. Experiencing the transition as a kid from SNES to N64 blew my mind. I don’t think the 64 would have been what it was without Rare though. Gem after gem after gem.
I remember my friends brother had N64 console and he used to play Banjo and Kazooie the second I laid my eyes on it like it was hypnotising and humerus at the same time on top of all that it’s just an incredible game that’s why I downloaded the Emulator on my laptop just to play these games I had the same vibe for Mario 64 that I had for banjo and kazooie
Some games I would add if my memory serves me right would be: Wave Race 64 Mortal Kombat Trilogy and mk4 Star Wars: Shadow of The Empire Pilotwings 64 Jetforce Gemini Donkey Kong Country 64 Army Men series Pokemon Snap Edit* Man, I forgot about Turok 1 & 2, Doom 64, and Duke Nukem 64
Omg how can I forget Turok 1 and 2, Doom 64, Duke Nukem 64 and Zero Hour,. Those were some frequent Block Buster rentals. So much so I had to buy Duke Nukem 64 cuz the multiplayer was the bomb. I loved my N64
In all honesty compared to the rest of the list: It's rather lackluster. Not to mention borderline unplayable if you didn't have a copy of Pokemon on the Game Boy at the time, as the Rental Pokémon were arguably useless. And before you say "Mini-Games" Mario Party has that beat by a mile.
@@TheDuckClock Not just the mini games which were awesome and nothing like Mario party... but also the insane amount of knowledge it offered on battle strategies at a time where nothing like it existed. There were challenges with randomized teams of pokemon where you really could show your talents, but also that package there was pretty much what everyone was getting and it included that transfer pack. Not only offered it a useful databank for your pokemon, but you were then able to compete in the Stadium against a strong league plus could play your gameboy game on big screen in fast mode. So yeah, Stadium over Mario party everyday for a kid growing up with few friends to begin with.
Props for including No Mercy 👏15:29. I was hoping you'd include one of the THQ games for N64. No Mercy, Wrestlemania 2000, WCW/nWo Revenge, and WCW/nWo World Tour were all outstanding games that consumed countless hours of my life between 1998 and 2001.
Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon. Not just a wonderful 3D Platformer, but one with an AMAZING musical score, pretty funny if a bit cheesy dialog, and 4 different characters to fall in love with. You DO need a memory card to save your progress tho.
I was playing mario 64 a few days ago on the wii and there is just this certain magic about that game that isn’t present in modern games. I didn’t grow up with this console, like I said I played it on the wii, but that game is truly something special.
1 - The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 2 - Super Mario 64 3 - 007 Goldeneye There wasn’t anything that could outclass those games (even in any others consoles) in their release times. Also, N64 has an amazing library of games that made this console the most revolutionary video-game of all time, like: The Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask Mario Kart Mario Party 1, 2, 3 Mario Tenis Paper Mario Super Smash Bros. Pokémon Snap Pokémon Stadium 1 Pokémon Stadium 2 Star Fox 64 Banjo-Kazooie Banjo-Tooie Conker’s Bad Fur Day Perfect Dark Donkey Kong 64 Diddy Kong Racer Jet Force Gemini Killer Instinct Gold Resident Evil 2 Star Wars Shadows of Empire Star Wars Rogue Squadron Star Wars Episode I Racer Star Wars Battle for Naboo Spider-Man Mortal Kombat Trilogy Mortal Kombat 4 007 The World is not Enough International Super Star Soccer 2000 Top Gear Extreme Wing Back (hidden gem) Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1, 2 and 3 Mystical Ninja starring Goemon Wave Race Pilotwings 64 Turok 1, 2 and 3 Doom 64 1080º Snowboarding
Very cool video ! I wonder why nobody seems to remember that Snowboard Kids series was a big thing at that time. In every Nintendo 64 top games I've watched, they never mentioned it once. We had so much fun with these games !
Very true. I put that game on my list. Never got a chance to play castlevania darkness or eatever it was called? It was the definitive edition. Was it any good?
I miss how insanely strong consoles used to be. I remember one time coming home from my aunts house and an entire container of soup leaked all over and into my N64. It dried and worked completely fine.
I spilled a whole glass of water over my 2DS. Is just dried it with paper and immediately turned it on. It worked perfectly hahaa Kid’s proof consoles are the best.
This console was my childhood, I still remember starting it for the first time, mine came with Mario 64 and my previous one was a genesis. I can't explain how much it completely blew my mind watching this 3d game for the first time, I was shocked!
Man, this is an absolutely stellar list, and it really illustrates just how spoiled we were as gamers back then. True, the N64 lost a lot of mainstays; Final Fantasy moved to the PSX, and there were barely any fighting games or RPGs, but Nintendo really took "quality over quantity" to heart with the N64. Rare was firing hit after hit, and Nintendo's own offerings were nothing to sneeze at, either. I personally think we could have ommited Banjo Tooie and MAYBE Perfect Dark and Majora's Mask if only to highlight other games instead of sequels/successors, but they're all top notch. I think at some point or another I had all the games on this list. Here's to hoping we get that N64 online app.
God watching this video is making me tear up honestly. I think we can all agree here that the Nintendo 64 years were some of the greatest years of our lives.
Some honorable mentions i feel like: -Snowboard Kids -DK64 -Banjo Tooie -Rampage -Ogre Battle: A Person of Lordily Calibur -Pokemon Stadium -bomberman hero
That's what I was thinking. But as most of the time: the UA-cam probably wasn't even a teenager when the N64 came out. That and Blast Corps btw. Oh and no Wave Race 64?! lol. They just always look for older versions of big franchises. Nobody was playing RE2 on the N64 back in the day. The only reason it's popular now is because of how they compressed the game so it fit on a cartridge.
Perfect Dark -- the absolute least well-known best game ever. I think it came out after the Playstation, so hardly anyone paid it any attention. In the minds of the critics, it wasn't "Perfect Dark" vs Goldeneye or Turok or anything else on the N64, it was "Perfect Dark" vs pick-a-game on the Playstation.... and that's a hard battle.
Great List :) My favorite N64 games are: 1 - The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 2 - Super Mario 64 3 - Mario Kart 4 - Wave Race 5 - Road Rash 6 - Tarzan 7 - Golden Eye 007 8 - Diddy Kong Racing
My Top 10: 1. Banjo Kazooie 2. Ocarina of Time 3. Mario 64 4. Perfect Dark 5. Goldeneye007 6. Majora’s Mask 7. Star Fox 64 8. Mario Kart 64 9. Diddy Kong Racing 10. Rogue Squadron
If you want to play the Conker game today, don't get the original Xbox version (Live and Reloaded) as that is oddly censored. Play the one included with Rare Replay which is on 360 and compatible with the Xbox One, which is like the original N64 game.
@@SC-lc7tm Thanks for the correction! LOL, I think I put 360 because a bunch of the backwards compatible games on Rare Replay were from the 360, so I thought the game was also on the system.
Banjo-Tooie is my favorite N64 game and one of my all time favorite video games. Kazooie is also very awesome. Some other highlights for me are Diddy Kong Racing, Paper Mario, Kirby 64, Mario 64, Smash 64, and Ocarina of Time. There are still many N64 games that I need to play like Majora’s Mask, DK64, and Yoshi’s Story
Bomberman 64: The Second Attack!!! Even though I never owned that game, I remember constantly asking my mom to go rent it as a kid. It was such a tough game to beat, but man the music was gooood! I still occasionally give a listen to its OST just for fun. Such an underrated video game!
Bro...that game is worth like 800 bucks today if not more. It was a very very rare one and is still considered hard to get your hands on. My local vintage game shop bought that and clay fighters sculptors cut for like 1300 bucks
Banjo Tooie is still my absolute favorite game of all time. Considering it was the first game I ever played. Kind of sad that Mischief Makers, Mystical Ninja, or Rocket didn’t make the list though :/
I bought it the other week as I never got round to it at the time. Rare find these days too! Glad you rate it. Looking forward to dusting the N64 off to play it!
Thank you so much for bringing back so many memories!! I’ve played all these games I think except for the Mario Party games and Banjo Tooie. It seemed really weird though when you were showing No Mercy footage and playing music from Kakariko Village. 😂
Goldeneye 4 player with Proximity Mines only, to this day, is still one of the most memorable moments in my personal video game history. That and the long, timed slide in Mario 64. We would play that damn slide for HOURS, drunk as hell.
I hope that they add N64 games to the NSO service. I desperately want to play Mario Kart 64's battle mode online. While the Mario Karts have improved with each iteration, the battle mode was never better than on N64.
How great is the Nintendo 64 when you've got 21 games and STILL people in the comments debating there favourites that arnt on the list. Shows how good this console was.
what ? uh 21 games is NOT a lot dude seriously are you high? ( yeah I know Im being a dick with that question but whatever, your post doesn't make any sense and I am triggered hard) If you get other fanbases you can dwarf that number if you do the same thing for other consoles like snes, nes ps1, ps2, xbox etc( and pc even if you include only games released during timespan of n64's release) I had a n64 back in the day and it was cool at times but it had LOOOOOONNG spots where nothing good was coming out. There's a reason it got it's ass kicked by the ps1 102 million sold compared to 24 million. Nintendo fanboys are the weirdest

I also liked World Driver Championship :D Glad that F-Zero X is on the list though!
Waverace 64 was an essential game to own on the N64! One of my all time favourites on the system for sure!
Yes!!! The duck lake level was so beautiful.
Agreed has anyone played jet set moto?
I never played much as a kid, but I'm looking to beat it now that it's on the Switch Online version. That and Pilot Wings.

The day and night thing was crazy back then. I remember the fact that stores closed in a video game was crazy.
its amazing that it still genuinely plays well to this day alot of games from the time period like golden eye feel almost broken when going back now
@@testoftimegaming5219 it’s stood the test of time
Donkey Kong 64 has flaws, but it was so immersive and offered so much as a successor to the SNES games. Great memories of it.
1080 Snowboarding- still the greatest snowboarding game ever made!
Second greatest. 1080 Avalanche on Game Cube improved upon it in every way. Both are amazing games though.
Wave Race 64 is a permanent resident of my top 10 games of all time. So there.
A person of good taste. It will never ever leave my all-time-top-10, until a new better one will be released, which, let's face it, will never ever happen. (Okay, I'm lying here, a bit, because I think I like "Blue Storm" a tad better.)
Agree
MAXIMUM POWER
That one occupied a lot of time during my first year with an N64, of the games that really WOWed me, this was one of the two first games on the console to do that - I was also wowed by Lylat Wars. I know I’m likely to get some hate for this, but Final Fantasy 7 and 8, and Resident Evil 2 also wowed me that generation.
WAVE 🌊 RACE! One of my faves!
Why does Jet Force Gemini never get any love???
I loved it back in the day and managed to get to the final boss. It was very refreshing from concept to gameplay to the awesome Star Wars-type OST. It was epic.
Maybe because of the second half of that game? I still admire it. But that backtracking was not cool. First half was mind blowing. Mizar was cool too - quite a tough boss.
Good point
It came out a bit too late in the N64 livecycle and very few people played it.
@@LocrianDorian It still released before Banjo Tooie, Perfect Dark, and Conker BFD.
Yes and yes
Am i crazy or was there a goth Mario princess in Mario Golf?
@ Hm I’m not sure what that’s from but definitely not Mario golf 64. Maybe someone else will know.
The amount of cult classics that Rare developed for this system is under appreciated
right - diddy kong racing is so underestimated - we talk a lot about mario kart but imo DDR was better because of the adventure mode and also graphics looks so damn good for 1997
@claude122 DKR had a massively superior 1 player mode (Mario Kart is a mediocre-at-best single player), but Mario Kart is the superior multi-player game. Even little details like turning into a bomb to fuck over your brother after death add to the Mario party advantage, but the biggest difference is the larger variety of items.
My 5 favorites in no order
Conker’s Bad Fur Day
Paper Mario
Majora’s Mask
Ocarina Of Time
Banjo Kazooie/Tooie

Conkers is one of my favorite games of all time, and the best part is I don't know how it ended up in my house. Was maybe 3 yrs old when it came out but I remember playing it around 10 yrs old no one else played video games at my house, its a mystery to me
I was 8-10 when I played Conkers and had no idea what half of it meant lol loved having friends over and playing squirrels vs bears at the castle
It was , and is to this day, one of the best multi-player games I've played. With a surprising number of game modes, in addition to the constant theme changing campaign.
He has no style, he has no grace, this Kong is not on this list
I love DK64 as much as Banjo Tooie... I wish it was on here!
My brother doesn’t think it’s a real game 😂
@@aedge622 but DK64 was a Banjo clone, and not a good one. Do you not remember the insane amount of collectables? Ruined it for me.

@@aedge622 that's fair enough. I was just expecting something a bit more original. It's not bad, but with BK coming before it, I think I was spoilt by that.
I love that in Super Mario 64 camera control was so new they had to make it it’s own character 😂

Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire was a great game for this list
I still love Wave Race, and it's sequel Blue Storm on the Game Cube. Seeing the 3D water for the first time as a kid was mind-blowing.
Mischief Makers and Mystical Ninja not making it on the list makes me so sad
Especially mystical ninja!
Mischief makers was amazing!

At the time of recording, they were both were extremely close to making the list!
Yuuuup
It’s cool how many of these games and many more are still available on the Wii U!
In no particular order, titles that I always go back to:
- 1080 Snowboarding
- Shadow Man
- Off-Road Challenge
- WrestleMania 2000
- Star Wars Ep1 Racer
- Turok 3
- Animal Forest (translation)
Thank you for mentioning 1080 snowboarding! The best snowboarding game ever made?

I remember being like 7 and getting one of these from my grandma cuz we found one at a yard sale. The nostalgia from super Mario 64 is crazy and I remember a racing game where there was ramps and stuff everywhere it was like retro
Killer Instinct Gold was a pretty solid port of KI2 and was one of the few traditional 1 on 1 fighting games on the N64.
It was certainly better than War Gods and Clayfighter 63 1/3 😂
Bruh Mario Kart 64 just hit different. It was straight up KART racing. No crazy gimmicks. I'm dying for a remake or remaster.
Yeah, i just play the japanese version, was a lot cheaper than us version and theres not really much of a difference. Its fun with a few friends.
Agree! Played WWF No Mercy for hours back in the day, get 4 ppl together and tag team matches went on for hours!

It’s a launch title that was overshadowed by Mario 64. Great game though.
Pokemon Stadium tho
heck yes

Rocket Robot on Wheels and his singular wheel is one of the best games on the system and I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL!
Am I a cheater for playing as odj job? You know, the short guy in 007.
Sin and Punishment is here
I can rest easy
yes! that game is so good it's absurd. best graphics on the system as well imo
No Goemon, Wave Race, or Cruis’n World?
Goemon 2 was epic! A secret 4 player co-op mode?! These days devs would release that sort of secret as some pricey DLC a year later and call it a day
I hope that they add N64 games to the NSO service. I desperately want to play Mario Kart 64's battle mode online. While the Mario Karts have improved with each iteration, the battle mode was never better than on N64.

That's actually funny to me, my grandfather watched me play this game and even that particular spot. He couldn't stop laughing.
I feel like people who owned Nintendo listened to ‘Talking heads’ while people who owned Playstation listened to ‘Blink 182’
Mystical Ninja, Bomberman 64, and Space Station Silicon Valley
Blast Corps
Ooh bomberman, forgot that one!
How great is the Nintendo 64 when you've got 21 games and STILL people in the comments debating there favourites that arnt on the list. Shows how good this console was.
Yes. Pokemon stadium is one of my favorites.
what ? uh 21 games is NOT a lot dude seriously are you high? ( yeah I know Im being a dick with that question but whatever, your post doesn't make any sense and I am triggered hard) If you get other fanbases you can dwarf that number if you do the same thing for other consoles like snes, nes ps1, ps2, xbox etc( and pc even if you include only games released during timespan of n64's release)
I had a n64 back in the day and it was cool at times but it had LOOOOOONNG spots where nothing good was coming out. There's a reason it got it's ass kicked by the ps1 102 million sold compared to 24 million.
Nintendo fanboys are the weirdest
@@iliketuna9326 Price a used N64 and some good games; then do the requisite same for the PS2. Mind you; I'm a gamer who loves all his consoles; but c'mon guy....Nintendo. It's Nintendo. It's Nintendo. It's Nintendo. Take my Money Nintendo. Sounds like they took some of yours in the past; and I'm willing to bet they will in the future. It's Nintendo.
My honorable mentions would be DK 64, Gambare Goemon
Diddy king racing is on the list though. It yes dk 64 and the goemon games are great
@@tomapple64 Whoops, I must've missed it.

Me
Buck Bumble! Sometimes I still listen to the title screen music
Saaaammmeeeee lol
Haha! I loved this game! Nobody would play mplayer with me :(
Game was the shit. The track was the fire too.
Buck bumble!!
Hearing the Lon Lon Ranch tune during the WWF No Mercy section was weird.
😄 Exactly my thought when it popped up
Great list! Well done to the N64 for making my younger life so enjoyable! This brings me smiles
Wave Race 64 not being on this list is absolutely criminal!
