I am a man and a musician who has been a Kate Bush fan since The Dreaming. Good friends turned me on to Lionheart, Diamond Kite and all the others. This is the first track from 50 Words for Snow that I have heard - and I want more. Kate's music always transports me - to lost friends remembered, to my years of coming-of-age, to what's really important in my life. Thank you, my muse!
I am a die-hard Kate Bush fan. Been busy and forgot that the album was out. Turned on this song and had to turn it off. Too many feelings bursted out inside. I had to catch my breath and now I'm sitting with bewildered amazement. You are back. The girl. The woman. The enigmatic human being giving us an insight of what heaven might look like. Thank you Kate! You are loved.
Kate the story teller, poet, artist. Interpreting the dreams we all have and can not remember. Musical genius. In a world full of noise, Kate brings a certain peace and serenity in her music. This song is truly wonderful and beautiful and healing thank you Kate ❤️❤️
What can I say.....KATE I LOVE YOUR WORK!!! Been a fan since the beginning.....I guess that ages me some.....Not one "new" artist comes close to your work.....You have been a Visionary the day you open your VOICE to the World.........................Bleesings....
One of the great albums of this new century so far. The summit of a musical legend, who is more mature and more confident than ever, but who is not afraid to break the grounds again, and who is still relevant in the scheme of things. Making the unpop pop, showing younger generations how individuality and success are not incompatible. Mystery is a hook.
Deep emotion - She resonates with me at an unfathomable depth. It absolutely 100% feels as though before I was born, I was somewhere else and this music was there too.
I bet he was a lovely doctor. Think he had a surgery at Plumstead. My sister once found his surgery details in an old London phonebook. He showed her the piano basics apparently and she probably had a few lessons but she mainly taught herself by practising for hours! I think thats one of the best ways to learn for creativity purposes! Honing a raw talent and then you have your own sound, purely out of true love for music!
Man, I haven't commented on a youtube video in years. But Kate Bush is truly something special. I'm a very devoted metalhead but there is something about this womans music that just blows me away. Was first introduced to her when my dad showed me The Seer by Big Country and although that's a gorgeous song as a whole, Kate Bush's parts are what really attracted me. If I had to choose between any metal band ever against Kate, I'd choose Kate. I can listen to her music no matter what mood I'm in, morning or night, drunk or sober, sad or happy, and it always hits a very special part of my soul. She is just simply my favorite musician.
I'm sobbing now. So beautiful and Bertie's voice makes me cry harder....just so precious and beautiful. My little boy just got married...and turned 30. I hate how all of this emotion snuck up on me. I'm just a mom who misses her children's babyhood, sorry. Time flies.
+retrobebop61 You are just a mom who did what she had to do. There's always a time to love, even in the past, even with regrets. I listened this song when my father passed away and I was so peaceful, as a snowflake falling down from the sky. Can always find a sweet place during hard time. Music, litterature, arts. We're animals with regrets and souvenirs.
Couldn't agree more. I work with kids and they go from 5 to 15 so quickly. Sometimes you really miss their innocent dependence and purity. Bertie's voice conveys so much aloneness.
Beautiful beautiful beautiful. I love the way she refuses to court celebrity. She has her family and her music and she speaks through that. Thank you Kate.
a short time lover introduced me to this piece of magic a couple of years ago. Listened to it almost everyday after he had left me in the middle of a dark and lonely winter.
I love hearing Bertie here. What a wonderful way to capture your child's voice in that fleeting moment of time before it changes. It's also a stunning song.
I don't know how I wandered here, but I'm here..and listening to this feels like drifting in a memory in cinematic sound.. Somehow, it makes me want to drop everything else in life and just make music. Kate Bush feels like a sister from the dream realm. I wonder if she feels like that for everyone.
+April Gee Yep. Big sister. Although she is in fact a few years younger than me. I am a huge fan, but I don't like every single track she has recorded - hey, that's life! But throughout, her keyboard work is wonderful. I don't like this particular song, but I can listen to her doing that piano continuo forever ..... what a touch she has.
Flo Jo, I like this one but found some of the "Hounds of Love" era songs challenging. She's an artist and goes where her muse takes her. She is exploring and sometimes going too far is the only way to find out if you have reached a boundary. I'm happy to for her to endulge her muse ;)
I couldn't agree more. I've been listening to her music since she first came on the scene back in 78. She blew me away then and she still does. There's something ethereal, very otherworldly about the music and lyrics that force you to stop and listen. Her work is truly a thing of beauty.
In Zen there is a saying that every snowflake falls in the right place no mistakes. but we humans sometimes feel we are not in the right place and that is not true.
Kate: You are on my shelf of greatest artists. The world'd be a more miserable place if you weren't in it and creating beautiful music. "Life without music would be an error", indeed.
Snow has many different names and falls in many ways. As the horses wade through snowdrifts, listen to how Kate represents this in the percussion. Your video is intricate and immensely delicate, but leaves much to the imagination - just as Kate's music does.
WOW! ... What a GREAT piece... this is the first time I've heard it ... and it left me with the same feeling "Under Ice" did 30 or so years ago...Kudos to Kate Bush for being a artist!!!
I agree with you! 50 Words For Snow might be her best album, but it's very hard to forget about The Dreaming! Let's just face it.. all her albums are amazing. This album reminds me of the two first album, in a sense. They're both extremely narrative in their nature, but in two completely different ways. Exquisite song this is!
This is not usually the type of music that I listen to, but since I love Kate, I gave it a try. Well...what she does is always magic and this may be the most magical thing she did. Stunning artist.
This song is so immense... so many keys to so many worlds in just a tiny crystal of ice... so simple... so much space... you can get right inside it... it wraps you up and squeezes your spirit... absolutely amazing piece of music.
I don't know whom made this beautiful video..It's absolutely sublime. I've enjoyed and shared it many times. I'd like to thank the artist,so,please advise.
Just acquired the album yesterday and sat paralyzed in my vehicle parked in the dark while this first track played. What a spellbinding piece! Kate's creative genius is like aging fine wine. Mmmm! Absolutely hypnotically gorgeous! Thank you Banberry2112 for posting this and for the exquisite footage you "formed" and "moulded" to accompany this timeless masterpiece! Peace.
I thought it appropriate to listen to this album for the first time on Kate's birthday. I must have played it about five times today already...absolutely stunning, as always, Kate.
I was born in a cloud... Now I am falling. I want you to catch me. Look up and you'll see me. You know you can hear me. The world is so loud. Keep falling. I'll find you. We're over a forest. There's millions of snowflakes. We're dancing. The world is so loud. Keep falling and I'll find you. I am ice and dust. I am sky. I can see horses wading through snowdrifts. My broken hearts, my fabulous dances. My fleeting song, fleeting. The world is so loud. Keep falling. I'll find you. My broken hearts, my fabulous dance. My fleeting song. My twist and shout. I am ice and dust and light. I am sky and here. I can hear people. I think you are near me now. The world is so loud. Keep falling. I'll find you. We're over a forest. It's midnight at Christmas. The world is so loud. Keep falling. I'll find you. I think I can see you. There's your long, white neck. The world is so loud. Keep falling. I'll find you. Now I am falling. Look up and you'll see me. The world is so loud. Keep falling. I'll find you. In a moment or two. I'll be with you. The world is so loud. Keep falling. I'll find you. Be ready to catch me. The world is so loud. Keep falling. I'll find you.
Even after 7 months i keep coming back to this video . I played it over and over , and over again at Christmas time . Now even in in this English summertime i still play it . Its a total modern masterpiece . The best winter song i have ever heard ! If youtube videos ever could get Oscars ,this would get one ! respect Banberry .....xxxxx
I have been away from her music for years. But today I am happy to know Kate is still dedicating her talent to music. Her voice and melody are still ameizing.
I heard this song for the first time today, and it just immobilised me. Timeless and ethereal - only Kate Bush could give us something as powerful as this. And the video does it justice. Thanks.
Has anyone else driven while listening to this on a dark night...amazing

The whisper of a Goddess on the wind.
Oh my god. My ears, the sound, the beautiful sound. Kate still has it
Just wonderful no one like her completely original and never bettered love her

Beautifully said.
Kate Bush is the musical embodiment of beauty, grace and deep emotion. I ❤ Kate Bush. 🎤❤🌝🎹❇🎅👩🚀☃️🌲
Deep emotion - She resonates with me at an unfathomable depth. It absolutely 100% feels as though before I was born, I was somewhere else and this music was there too.
Kate bush and I come f on the same town. Her dad was out doctor. She was always different and special.
wow ,.. he must been a kind person like Kate .
metaphysics anyone? Can you tell us about her and her music education?
@@ireneallegrabariani5698 She was self taught. Only took lessons for interpretive dance.
metaphysics anyone? But where did she learn piano?

its like a haunting lullaby. This song and style are perfection. I love the sparseness in this song
Timeless Kate. The world is so loud...your heart just melts. And Bertie is amazing.
I'm sobbing now. So beautiful and Bertie's voice makes me cry harder....just so precious and beautiful. My little boy just got married...and turned 30. I hate how all of this emotion snuck up on me. I'm just a mom who misses her children's babyhood, sorry. Time flies.

I know how you feel.my kids are late teens and it's hard when they don't need you so much even that's the point.
Couldn't agree more. I work with kids and they go from 5 to 15 so quickly. Sometimes you really miss their innocent dependence and purity. Bertie's voice conveys so much aloneness.
Time is eternal.
He lives. You live. What a Lucky Boy.
It's bitter cold and snowing, so what better way to pass an evening than listening to the wonderful Kate Bush.
This is the most beautiful thing I have ever heard in my life. Thank you Kate and Bertie. We love you.
She gets it straight from the universe
Fantastic description of her and so true. She's a fine woman.
I agree, perfect description, straight from the universe.
Straight from pain
Beautiful beautiful beautiful. I love the way she refuses to court celebrity. She has her family and her music and she speaks through that. Thank you Kate.
her style hasn't changed. is a music i would take my time to listen to. it's beauty is beyond words...

Every thing she does is gold....I love her so much....
One of my favourite ever songs from my favourite ever album. I play this record every Christmas now.
Kate Bush, her songs are so unique! Love her early stuff too! And Bertie takes after his mum with that haunting voice!
You can tell were little Bertie gets his vocals from. What a lovely voice for someone who was so young at the time :)
I don't know how I wandered here, but I'm here..and listening to this feels like drifting in a memory in cinematic sound.. Somehow, it makes me want to drop everything else in life and just make music. Kate Bush feels like a sister from the dream realm. I wonder if she feels like that for everyone.

Yes....she has a bit of each of our soul in her grasp....

I'm STUNNED !!!! This is so beautiful. A masterpiece of art and imagination. I can find no more words in my vocabulary . . .
This song reawakens your sense of the ineffable. Those are the words.
Bertie’s vocals are amazing! ☺️ Got the talent from his mum! ❤️ So lovely to see mum and son duet hehe!
Her music is so sophisticated and classy, absolutely stunning artistry! perfect
Still one of the most beautiful compositions I have heard. One of my top ten songs. The video matches it wonderfully.
This is more beautiful than life itself! So emotional and transparent.
What have I just discovered?!! 😻 3:29 instant goosebumps.
absolutely stunning
What a song. Goddess, and his son a great talent too
we are having a blizzard in the Pennines UK. This song fits perfectly. I love Kate Bush
This is Beautiful...
Genius songwriter and musician with one of the most beautiful voice ever!!!
In Zen there is a saying that every snowflake falls in the right place no mistakes. but we
humans sometimes feel we are not in the right place and that is not true.
This song has such a warm and nostalgic feeling, I can listen to it for hours on end, it's like a trip inside a dream.
It is so beautiful... Another massive Kate Bush masterpiece
Absolutely one of the best songs she has put together and the fact that she did this with her boy makes this amazing to me.
How the hell does one person get so much talent?
Unfathomable.
Beautiful!
Kate: You are on my shelf of greatest artists. The world'd be a more miserable place if you weren't in it and creating beautiful music. "Life without music would be an error", indeed.
Simply beautiful.
So beautiful. I wish it was Christmas. I'd play this on an endless loop!
Kate is the essence of life itself . My life would be much the poorer without my love of her work and artists like her .
Once again, KB didn't fail to amaze me... superb creation!
This is total 1 on Kate bush's sublime works Again
This is stunning..........such gifted people

I love how the vocal gives me the chills every time. It's like another layer to the song, considering the subject matter.
This is my first time I hear her music, so touching!

@Diamondsky66 Thank you very much. I wanted people to feel the snow on their faces. I just uploaded The Redshoes extended mix the other day.
Take care
Beautiful! A wonderful song, by a musical legend, and a video that could very well be the perfect 'official' video to match! Well done!!!
My refuge from a music industry ruled by a bunch of 12 year olds, with smart phones paid for by their parents.
On the one hand there's Slade, Mariah Carey et al... and then there's this, on another level entirely.
Perfect video for the song. Enchanting! Thought it was the official video - so good!!!
enchantingly beautiful...
Genius and so brilliant
i love this, its so beautiful, she never disappoints
and so unique
Just acquired the album yesterday and sat paralyzed in my vehicle parked in the dark while this first track played. What a spellbinding piece! Kate's creative genius is like aging fine wine. Mmmm! Absolutely hypnotically gorgeous! Thank you Banberry2112 for posting this and for the exquisite footage you "formed" and "moulded" to accompany this timeless masterpiece! Peace.
Mesmerizing video for mesmerizing music! Beautiful.
Kate Bush is an Amazing ARTIST and was a decent pop singer.
Brilliant. The way only Kate Bush can do. She has returned to the atmosphere of her old "Hounds of Love" album. Long Live Kate!
I thought it appropriate to listen to this album for the first time on Kate's birthday. I must have played it about five times today already...absolutely stunning, as always, Kate.
The video is fantastic it belongs to this piece of music, Kate Bush should be proud of this! 11 out of 10
Beautiful. I love you, Kate, for music like this.
Deep cold landscapes, beautiful and haunting, Kate's work.
A magical marriage of sound and vision .thankyou:)
This is one of those songs that just sounds better and better every time you listen to it. Great stuff once again Kate.
I have been away from her music for years. But today I am happy to know Kate is still dedicating her talent to music. Her voice and melody are still ameizing.
