I like that some stories make them old friends almost since childhood because then it feels as if Bruce is not giving up on him because he is a remnant of his old life before his parents died, similar to Alfred.
very beautiful ive always enjoyed their friendship in btas especially when harvey calls him a good old friend who never gave up on him. its just a pretty accurate depiction and they always stood by each other even if he didn't know that's what counts
I like how there are two separate minds to doubt with . Two-face hates Batman because he always gets in his way every time he tries to flip the alternative. Harvey seems to care about Bruce cause he’s always been his childhood friend.
Honestly, hearing Harvey saying "Why couldn't you save me?!?" Really breaks my heart knowing he had a life he has been now gone all due to the tragedy event that happened
Bruce never gave up on Harvey, no matter how bad Harvey got. They should really do a proper two face in a Batman movie, and show their friendship before Harvey was sprayed with acid. And then show Bruce trying to stop two face. And trying to redeem Harvey
They did made an animated movie with a similar story, it's called batman vs two face and its actually one of the few BATMAN stories where harvey actually managed to be cured fully
It's honestly a shame that in Telltale's Batman you weren't able to save Harvey. Despite throwing literally everything away from him and him from being scarred, he still ends up becoming 2 Face. I wanted to save him so bad, same as with John.
@@ProcyonDei technically he still is, Two Face is the evil persona, he is Harvey's pent up anger personified, Harvey is still a good man while Two Face isnt in control
Harvey, Victor, Harleen. These aren’t villains of pure evil. They’re victims. Victims who reacted to their situation in the wrong way and should be punished as such, but they’re victims nonetheless who should be rehabilitated and treated as people.
It then gets worse on side tales like "Two-Timer" (The Batman and Robin Adventures comics issues 1 and 2) and "Two Of A Kind" (from Batman: Black & White 1996), which then concludes to his increasing unhingedness in The New Batman Adventures from the episodes "Sins of the Father" and "Judgment Day". Still, there may be some hope, as seen in Justice League vs. the Fatal Five, but even then, that movie's value and canonicity on the DC Animated Universe is hotly debated.
I was about to say this myself, friend. Harvey seems... a lot more chill and almost friendly even as Two-face to that Legion of Superheroes member (forgot his name).
It'd be great indeed. Thankfully, we get a glimpse of that in Batman telltale game series where Harvey Dent is running for Gotham's mayoral seat and Bruce is backing him up.

To be fair Nolan based that story on the old comics and the long Halloween, both of which never showed Dent and Bruce as friends, just that he was an ally to batman when he was starting.

Congrats to shipping bruharvey and or twobats! I’m glad I converted you! 😈 I’ve shipped these 2 since 2019? (I think) I just love them! Bruce has such a soft spot towards them, it’s ridiculous! Of course Bruce still holds the both of them accountable but he’s way more soft towards them than majority of his rouges and I find it to funny lol. That’s his ex (husband or bsf up to you)! They talk like they’re exes so much it’s so sad and angsty they break my heart but it’s sooo well done! I love when a Batman media discusses their friendship cuz lots of media just brushes it off or just doesn’t include it for some reason! (Looking at you dark knight it’s such a missed opportunity, but it’s still a great movie but the missed potential to make it even better and explore their relationship more) I have lots of love towards telltale and btas for this reason
@cutesnowybunny12 I so agree and yea they do rlly seem like exes! I've never watched that much batman or dc comics growing up but I've really been into it in my most recent years so I didn't see the shipping potential cuz I didn't read or watch that much and get a true grip on their history but now I see it. @@Sanguinary_Briar Yeah well I’m happy to help! Here’s another ship to suggest though I mainly ship it ironically is riddlebat (Riddler x Batman). I don’t really take this ship seriously but they’re funny so that’s my personal stance on it. Edward probably has a somewhat implied one-sided crush on Batman! I don’t really read the comics that much but there’s a comic that heavily implies Edward is bi (the comic had the bi colors as lighting throughout the story). The story took place during Valentine’s Day where Ed robs a flower store and leaves clues for Bruce where if leads to past relationships or crushes (consisting of both men and women) and finally Bruce finds Edward and they basically have a chat and Ed offers him a drink commenting on the fact that Bruce must be lonely that he had nowhere better to be than to be with him on valentines today. Bruce stays for a bit and they clink their drinks together and the comics ends. The comics is Strange Love Adventures #1 - “Dinner for Two” (2022) if you want to read it! SCREW YOU WB GAMES! I have to make Arkham Origins 2 MYSELF!
This is one of the reasons why Batman TAS pretty much ends after season 2 in my book. New Adventures thru Justice League and Beyond, Bruce basically HAS given up on Harvey and most of the other villains (The Ventriloquist was a notable exception), and he's just coldly focused on fighting crime.
I get what you mean but i love the development of Bruce slowly becoming obsessed and isolated because of his never ending crusade, in the later episodes of BTAS you see many villains trying to reform but always going back to their old ways, among these being Harvey and Selina, and if you read "Two-Timer" (from Batman and Robin adventures) and "Two of a Kind" (from Black and White issue 1) you get more context of why over time Batman has become more cold towards Two-Face. Riddler's reform shows a side of him where he doesn't even trust the villains to reform and seems frankly a bit paranoid about Nygma, even if he was right, and in Second Chance we see how he's slowly drifting Dick Grayson apart from himself just as Two-Face is drifting Bruce and Harvey apart. I just find the idea that his multiple failed attempts at reforming his villains especially Catwoman and Two-Face, as well as Joker's continuous returns, as the reason why he becomes more cold later on a very appealing concept to open up how he learns to become less cold again later thanks to interacting with the Justice League.
It's really sad that this fondness between the 2 seems to have faded by the time of The New Adventures. In TAS, Batman always was more lenient and patient with Two-Face. By The New Adventures, they're both cold towards eachother and it seems Batman has finally given up and accepted Harvey can't be redeemed and treats him like any other criminal.
Yeah and the reason of why their relationship became like that was explained in the comics of btas. Basically joker manipulates harvey whose finally able to regain some control and some of his sanity after literally years of therapy (btw he was also just few steps away from getting a surgery to get his face fixed too). Into thinking that Bruce is purposely keeping him locked in Arkham so he can be with grace. And other things happen which led to two face persona coming back and kidnaping bruce and grace. And bruce seeing harvey again..for the second time failing to regain his sanity makes bruce question if harvey is even worth saving anymore and if hes completely gone. And by the end of the comic in their last showdown batman finally accepts that harvey is long gone and ecen began calling him two face(it even confused two face too because batman always calls him harvey, and batman tells two face that theres nothing left to save, which is kinda sad tbh.) And after the judge incident in the tnbas comics harvey tries to commit suicide because he had enough of his life which to him was a constant struggle and bad luck. He Tries to jump off a plane he high jacked while giving up the last parachute to batmtan(without even doing a coin toss, he just gave it to batman before jumping out). And in typical batman fashion. He saves two face and in the last panel he calls two face "harvey" again and promises him that things going to get better with him from now on. And it was a really bittersweet ending.
I love the Arkham games but this is something that 2 face severely lacked. He was just a generic badguy in those games sadly when he’s supposed to be more sympathetic
Getting his "good" face scarred should have been a BIG deal. Like, it should have fundamentally changed Two-Face's obsession with "balance". Would he have split three ways? Would Harvey Dent completely cease to exist within Two-Face's mind? Would Harvey have once again gained the freedom to choose for himself? The canonical answer is.... a big shrug and a forgotten plot point.
Unfortunately, two-face was always part of Harvey. You can see him surfacing every time Dent is under severe stress or in bouts of great anger. The scarring is just the collapse of the mental barrier Harvey had placed on two-face. Telltale game series shows us that by giving us a Harvey who loses his self-control even if you choose to save him from penguin and prevent him from getting scarred
@@Kazuma_DrakeHarvey’s darker side would have always been present even without the scarring, it was the result of a lifetime of repressed rage, not a single accident
@@sandwichjones6995 Let me put this into words I was misunderstood in wording it Bruce caused him to be Two Face by burning him if the Other Harvey (When he wasn't scarred) took care of them then he wouldn't scar him to actially have two faces

To want to help them so badly only to see how Fear keeps driving them further into a choice you know won't help them. You'd love nothing more than to see them return to the person you loved and cherished only to struggle seeing that friend refuse your help and continue to sink further and further in a vain effort to run away from what happened, to see them so dependent on something you know is killing them. Unable to bring yourself to give up on them and thus doomed to see every step of their descent.

This hurts more knowing that the canonical ending to Harveys story is the third personality 'the judge' taking over and leaving Harvey a broken mess reciting "guilty" over and over in a padded room in Arkham. We never see this version of Harvey again, not in justice league or the tie-in comics,

„It’s a trick coin it’ll always land on edge“ 🥶
Bruce’s dream in the animated series reminds me of the Scorpion hallucination level from Insomniac’s Spider-Man. Both focus on how Peter and Bruce blame themselves for what happened to Otto and Harvey, so much so that they desperately want to help them.
Rip to the legends
Hands down one of the best edits of anything i ever saw, no joke. Congratulations dude, this video is amazing in everything. The pacing, music, dialogue, clips selection, you nailed it
@@franciscocastro4082 Aww thank you so much!
Batman always use Bruce voice whenever he is next to Harvey! Because he know he is best friend!
This was well done thank you
The best Batman is one that doesn't mind showing his emotions when he feels them.
I like how there are two separate minds to doubt with . Two-face hates Batman because he always gets in his way every time he tries to flip the alternative. Harvey seems to care about Bruce cause he’s always been his childhood friend.
I just shed two tears, this is to much for My Heart to bear.
90's cartoon batman was the best bat there ever was. He was my bat, the real batman. The real hero.
Honestly, hearing Harvey saying "Why couldn't you save me?!?" Really breaks my heart knowing he had a life he has been now gone all due to the tragedy event that happened
Hits different after Arkham shadow
Good ole bruce always been my best friend
Bruce never gave up on Harvey, no matter how bad Harvey got. They should really do a proper two face in a Batman movie, and show their friendship before Harvey was sprayed with acid. And then show Bruce trying to stop two face. And trying to redeem Harvey
They did made an animated movie with a similar story, it's called batman vs two face and its actually one of the few BATMAN stories where harvey actually managed to be cured fully
AFTER WATCH BATMAN ARKHAM SHADOW THAT MAKES SENSE
It’s so sad knowing Harvey really wants to change, go back to how things used to be but after his Two-Face change he broke and shifted into madness
It's honestly a shame that in Telltale's Batman you weren't able to save Harvey. Despite throwing literally everything away from him and him from being scarred, he still ends up becoming 2 Face. I wanted to save him so bad, same as with John.
BTAS shone light on Batman's humanity as well, something that tends to be forgotten in most media.
Harvey Dent/Two-Face started off as good but became evil after an accident wrapped his mind still Bruce continued to believe in him
To be fair his mind was already halfway in the gutter, the acid just pushed him over
@@Davetonitheone I know and the blame for that goes to Rupert Throne
@@Davetonitheone Only in the newer stories, originally (like in TAS) he was a legitimately good person and good friend of Bruce and Jim...

To be fair Nolan based that story on the old comics and the long Halloween, both of which never showed Dent and Bruce as friends, just that he was an ally to batman when he was starting.
Harvey was one of the few who brought out Bruce Wayne when they were hanging out Batman was not there when Harvey broke Batman’s last true tie was lost
😢 I miss them both

Did we get a conclusion to Harvey Dent in the animated universe?
I don’t think so but if we did it happened offscreen.
I get why this guy became two face.... And why he chooses to flip a coin😂
Richard Moll. "Bull" from Original "Night Court" ✌️
Dent looks like Lex Luthor with Hair. same voice actor too.
Split personality is a hard life
They did an exellwnt job with Harvey and Two-Face they are litterally 2 characters I guess Big Bad Harv was just Two-Face's pre-evolution
Is it too much ask for a time line where he actually redeem or save Dent.
Would finding out Bruce was Batman shatter what was left of Harvey? Or do you think it would do the opposite?
Awww bestie you have most definitely NOT talked abt them too much!! In fact you just opened my eyes to these two romantically! You have very valid points!! 🛐 I stan them now, you made a Bruharvey shipper outta me fr
Congrats to shipping bruharvey and or twobats! I’m glad I converted you! 😈
I’ve shipped these 2 since 2019?
It all comes together like pieces of a puzzle that are all meant to be.
I’m not a huge riddlebat fan but it’s neat!
Here’s a link to it on tumblr not sure if it’ll work tho; why-i-love-comics.tumblr.com/post/676284441326452736/strange-love-adventures-1-dinner-for-two

Hopefully they do it in the Robert Pattinson Batman series, Harvey dent doesn't have to have a tragic end, same with alot of the other rogues.
I will NEVER FORGIVE WB Games for NOT making Batman Arkham Origins 2 and NOT making the story about Batman and Harvey Dents relationship, Alliance with the GCPD against the Mob and later Acid Attack, which would lead to Harvey Dents first attack on Gotham as Two Face.
SCREW YOU WB GAMES! I have to make Arkham Origins 2 MYSELF!
what if i cried rn
I just find the idea that his multiple failed attempts at reforming his villains especially Catwoman and Two-Face, as well as Joker's continuous returns, as the reason why he becomes more cold later on a very appealing concept to open up how he learns to become less cold again later thanks to interacting with the Justice League.
fuck that hurt me on a monday and now i have to work
I actually wanted to see more Bruce and Harvey.
LOOK BATMAN ARKHAM SHADOW
Poor harvey, another victim of gotham
Why batman want to be friend with Two-face? Because Batman have one too with 🦇. For their story.
0:03 which episode is this?
Second Chance
Who knows that twoface is tragic kr broken both comics, movies and tv show?
Kids shows used to cover some deep and dark topics. What happened to good tv like this?
I guess.. nothing good lasts forever.
Huh? What is Two-face say?
Which could mean nothing….
What episode is the first clip from?
It’s from second chance
I love the Arkham games but this is something that 2 face severely lacked. He was just a generic badguy in those games sadly when he’s supposed to be more sympathetic
Getting his "good" face scarred should have been a BIG deal. Like, it should have fundamentally changed Two-Face's obsession with "balance". Would he have split three ways? Would Harvey Dent completely cease to exist within Two-Face's mind? Would Harvey have once again gained the freedom to choose for himself? The canonical answer is....
a big shrug and a forgotten plot point.
What happened to him in Batman beyond

Good old Bruce
Yet Bruce caused him to be Two Face
Unfortunately, two-face was always part of Harvey. You can see him surfacing every time Dent is under severe stress or in bouts of great anger.
The scarring is just the collapse of the mental barrier Harvey had placed on two-face.
Telltale game series shows us that by giving us a Harvey who loses his self-control even if you choose to save him from penguin and prevent him from getting scarred
No, where did you get that from?
