This was such a brilliant video. I have recently started paying so much more attention to sound. It is so often overlooked, but it can make such a huge difference. My videos were so much ‘flatter’ before. Since processing the sound (limiter, damping echo, and slightly boosting bass), adding in effects and music (even really understated) it just adds so much to the video.
Another absolute winner, Lila. You exude authenticity and consistency in your videos which make them so much more powerful. One of the things that comes through so strongly from you is the "Show me, don't tell me". From a life point of view, this is one of my huge things - summarised, for instance, by "Don't tell me you love me, show me".
As a Marketing & Communications Strategist, one of the points that I keep pushing is that the whole experience is how you make / let your audience FEEL - arguably more important than anything else in that context. I love how you emphasise this in this video.
This video is exactly what I needed. Thank you Lila! Your explanations are clear, crisp and expertly demonstrated. I've added it to my go-to reference file for editing, and I subscribed to your channel. I totally agree about Epidemic Sound after using it a couple weeks now. In the past I used "free music" extensively, and I tried a different paid subscription source and it's been time-consuming and frustrating finding music and effects that fit my projects. Now it's already quicker, easier and better than before.
