Maybe it is different for Asians, but most people in Europe can recognize the most widely spoken languages in Western Europe like French, German, Italian, or Spanish, and obviously English. For me personally, recognizing other Germanic languages like Dutch, Swedish, Danish or Norwegian is also relatively easy. When it comes to Slavic languages though, unless you are from Eastern Europe and actually speak one of them, it becomes a bit of a blur and it is difficult to differentiate them . But that is just out of ignorance because we don't hear those languages very often and not because they do not sound intrinsically dissimilar from each other. I'm pretty sure a Polish person can easily recognize for example Czech, Serbian, Ukranian and obviously Russian . . In the case of Finnish, I suppose many people guess it based simply on the fact thay, being from a different language family, it sounds completely different from other European languages, except Estonian.

A lot of women change their natural color of skin, hair, etc. So it's not really fair to try and guess based on appearance only. Even then, Europe has mixed with each other for 2000 years, so it is not like it used to be, where the north of Europe would be much lighter, while south was darker in color.

The French girl made a mistake regarding her favorite national dish, Fondue does not originate from France but from the French part of Switzerland, but I honestly think that this mistake may have happened due to the fact that she may have grown up in eastern France in a city located right near the border with the Swiss city Geneva, perhaps in regions such as Bourgogne or Auvergne.
What's with Russia. The initial guess seems to be mostly russia 😂 the small one speaking english is trying so hard to relate everything for each european 😂
Lots of Russian/Eastern European models go to East Asia to work (mainly in Japan, Korea and China) and so when the locals see any tall and blonde person they immediately assume theyre Russian.

You’re all about that nation state grind. Nothing wrong with that, however euro centric academia has declared the concept of “ethnicity” as illegal. This is because of stigma around WW2 and Germany. It’s important to recognize the intentions and biases now present at academic institutions.
Its sad that They only know Russia. First off all Russian girls are not tall than western Europeans, secondly in Russian common hair is not blonde, it's light brown (русый) blonde hair is common in Scandinavian countries Germanic countries or Baltic countries. By the way I'm from Ukraine. And these girls should relearn Europe.
Unless you are really far north, light blonde hair is also very uncommon in Germany. Obviously you will find more blond people in Germany than most other places of the world but the alpine phenotype (very dark blond to brunette) is the majority here. In the south you also find a lot of people that you could mistake for your average South European. But obviously there are different definitions of blond. For some Asians or Middle Africans lighter brunettes are probably considered blonde. In my experience people who are very light blond in Germany are very often of slavic ethnicity.
The Finnish girl here told in the other video her mother is Russian. I'm a Finnish person, I don't hear a Russian accent in her speech, so I assume she was born in Finland. Still, I would like to ask her personal opinion on the Russian invasion of Ukraine...
I heard that in South Korea, they have a strange obsession with Russian women. Maybe these Japanese girls were influenced by that. It's a bit unfortunate these days. I've seen Asians guess various European nationalities as Russian. Same for Americans. The worst case was when (after 24th of February, 2022) an American girl guessed a Ukrainian girl as Russian. I could sense her pain through the screen.
@KiryubelleKazuma Germanic people are blonde than Slavic. The most blondest Slavic country is Czech with 56% blonde people meanwhile the most blondest Germanic country is Sweden with 78% blonde people. And Czech is close to Germany
England's coast and countryside are actually quite beautiful and there are many nice small (or smaller) towns. I would agree, however, that the bigger cities in England are not so nice by European standards, although I personally like London for example.
Everything close to London is a dump. Never in my life I've seen this much rubbish on the train tracks and more chewing gum on the platforms than in Euston railway station. The Tube is also quite disgusting, despite being spectacularly efficient.
You couldn’t be more wrong. England has thousands of beautiful locations (gorgeous old villages, hamlets, market towns and small historic cities), and thousands of beautiful landmarks (medieval cathedrals, churches, castles, stately homes, Manor House’s, palaces, ancient sights, gardens etc). I am a foreigner, living in the gorgeous English countryside, and have seen so much of this for myself (as I am very interested in historic architecture). I would strongly advize you to discover these places for yourself, because England has so much beauty. If you would like any help on places in your region, I would gladly give you some recommendations. Also, Japanese citizens love the English countryside, and if you’ve ever been to a famous English region called the Cotswolds, you will see them there in their thousands exploring the villages.
@@darek4488 Do you mean Greater London, because I really love many of the counties close to London such as Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Kent, Sussex etc - I’ve seen so many beautiful villages and market towns within these regions on my travels, and the countryside is very picturesque. I will say, that with the county of Essex I notice this pattern. The southern part of Essex, which borders London, is totally different to the beautiful Northern half of Essex (the Northern half is filled with beautiful and traditional settlements; with lots of thatched roofs and brightly colored half timbered buildings).

Inaccuracy of translation is one thing, but mispelling things so consistently in almost every video and now completely DROPPING the entire translation like french is some ancient language no modern technology would be able to decipher... bruh
The first one i would have said is India. As England used to be an anglo country. She doesn't represent European. Smh.
yeah even clothes screamed india
That first girl might be from England but her ethnicity is not English she looks like Greek to me.
Yeah, afghani-pakistan is the new english! salam alecum mate!
The first woman looks more middle eastern
She's of Indian descent. As you know people from the Indian subcontinent and former commonwealth colonies have taken over England. Even their prime minister is an Indian and the mayor of London is Pakistani. The national dish of England is now Chicken Tikka Masala which was Fish and Chips previously. England has lost its Englishness.
She is of Irish decent too
Isn't this kinda killing the guessing game having them speak in their native language? It's pretty simple to narrow it down after that.
meh. I'm european. even I can't tell where all languages are from. can you differenciate between all the slavic languages?
@@folk. well the Germany, france and England language killed the fun of guessing. It should have mainly been based off of appearance which is what the video title hinted at
@@folk. Me being from the Romance branch heir of Ancient Latin, am completely *unable* to differenciate any slavic language at all
Meh, it's simple to narrow down if the languages spoken are big languages like russian, french, german etc. Infact as you see they weren't able to guess finland from the language, italian Is also a language that usually nobody recognize
Ohh.. Called the English French.
Also called the Finnish girl Russian. Ouch.
The Italian girl looks really Italian. And she speaks with her hands. You can guess from 100km
I was on an Italian film lecture once. Never give an Italian speaker a hand microphone!
Yes, a lapel mic will do.
China is so funny
A lot of women change their natural color of skin, hair, etc. So it's not really fair to try and guess based on appearance only. Even then, Europe has mixed with each other for 2000 years, so it is not like it used to be, where the north of Europe would be much lighter, while south was darker in color.
You can tell an Italian from a German quite easily

Roberta Salice is Italian. There are many Italians that overlap with Germans. Italy borders two German speaking countries, and Italy has a German speaking province. Plus Italy is only 47 kilometers away from Germany.
Finish sound like no other language, i tho she was Hungarian or Romanian.
5:46 When she said that german speaking girl might be from Russia I bursted out in laughter.
Skiing being a sport in her region makes me think she is from an area bordering CH.
She never said it was a french dish
shes (finnish) girls name is LADA... so she is russian heritage....best car.. but not best name.
i mean not true Finnish person..
What's with Russia. The initial guess seems to be mostly russia 😂 the small one speaking english is trying so hard to relate everything for each european 😂
Russia has had a lot of publicity recently. And a lot of Russians have fled the country also.
Lots of Russian/Eastern European models go to East Asia to work (mainly in Japan, Korea and China) and so when the locals see any tall and blonde person they immediately assume theyre Russian.
Damn the last one is hot
Exactly bro, I'm só glad that I can understand some finnish words, it's a beautiful language to hear 😊

@@Nistel32 I wonder if hungarians are able to recognize more Finnish words, since they are also not Indoeuropean
@@BlackHoleSpain i Wonder, but they are really different, there are many languages that I want to know, by now I'll keep with english and start study finnish, I'm really interested.
@@BlackHoleSpain A native Finnish speaker here, I can't recognize any Hungarian words. The only similarity I know of is that both languages have gender neutral grammar, one personal pronoun for all people.
Hiii
Stage 1: no european ethnicity. So impossible to guess by his face.
You’re all about that nation state grind. Nothing wrong with that, however euro centric academia has declared the concept of “ethnicity” as illegal. This is because of stigma around WW2 and Germany. It’s important to recognize the intentions and biases now present at academic institutions.
China is sooo pretty wtf
The first girl looks like being from Turkey, not England.
Europeans would kinda do the same in a reverse style guessing game.
Most guesses would be japan, korea and china.
And Czech is close to Germany
guessing the european is so easy. juat ask few questions about the colored skin people and the racist one is european lol
Upeat munkit suomineidolla
The short one isn't Japanese. She's probably American.
She has lived abroas.
They are all look alike 😅
Anyone who thinks England is a beautiful country has obviously never been there.
I have many times and it is beautiful.
I couldn’t guess the nationality of these two japanese girls. They are too Koreanized😅
They're introduced as Japanese but one speaks English and the other speaks Korean.
Yeah but for this channel, Korean is the second main language.
All this is filmed in Korea as far as I am aware.
They actually spoke Japanese to each other multiple times. However, on this channel, it's mostly done in Korean or English.
@@manoloantonio5206 The girl who couldn't speak English only spoke in Japanese, as far as I can tell from my limited JP knowledge.
@@hakanstorsater5090 Yes, your knowledge is very limited. She mostly spoke Korean in the video.
The Finnish girl name looks like she is from Russia
In a previous video, she said her father's from there, so I assume that's the reason why. As a Finnish speaking Finn, her name doesn't sound particularly Finnish or Swedish to me. 🙃
I am Indian and I am watching the video exiting ly...

Sweetheart you dint speak English, you speak Aussie. My lord that aussie accent is stong .lol
In France they speak Flemish, Basque, German, Breton, Arab, and French, not just French...
Occitan, Alsatian, Corsican and there are even more if we count the overseas
