I am Italian and I would've never guessed she was Italian. The name threw me off so much. Not only I'd never heard the name Zia but it also means "aunt" in italian so it was even more wierd
I'm not Italian and like you was a bit surprised because of looks but have to admit she was the most Italian of the girrls in the show. Attitude and style. Yes, I knew that zia means aunt. And that's what you and I found weird. There was a president of Pakistan called Zia-ul-Haq. And in the wider Islamic world, the name Zia is "not extremely rare". So in that perspective, she may be the Italian (nationality) child of immigrants. I'm an older man and not after her, but she looks very attractive to me. Her assertiveness fits with both Italian and the other groups. When we leave recent immigration out of the guessing then we still have to acknowledge that Italy's history is one of immigration and multi-ethnicity. Starting in nearly-historic times, the North (Podania) starts with Greek-ish colonies. More South we have the Etruscans that were relatively advanced, more so than the Romans that invaded the region next to Tuscany to form their "Roma" colony. I should not have to explain to you what the word used to reference the "she wolf" that reared Romulus and Remus founders of Rome in Latin/Italian actually means. The same thing happened in Los Angeles times with loads of immigrant men and a few women. Street names there today, female names, just reference the girrls that were working there, lying down to keep standing in life. Farther South in Italy, we see Hellenistic colonies (Naples - Napoli - Nea Polis in Greek) and going down to Sicily, we see lots of Greek colonies but also from the Levant (Middle East) and North Africa (already in Roman times). In Roman times, the street (go-between) language will have been simplified Greek (koinè), in Rome, even. It was a melting pot, linguistically, culturally, ethnically. The settlers founding Rome came from Anatolia. They may have been descendants of the Hittites. The actual "Turk" hooligans only arrived in the region in the 11th century (1000-1100)), IIRC (from reading about it, I wasn't there at the time). Little chance of inbreeding, in Italy ;).
If you listen closely she said her name is Gia and you know that on this channel editors make always a mess with subtitles. She could also have changed her name for a more Korean sounding one because her name might be difficult for Koreans to pronounce. Ji-ah is indeed a very Korean name. I heard many foreigners do that. In terms of look she does look Italian to me and I am Italian as well.
@@jpdj2715 The North didn't start with Greek-ish colonies. Where did you hear that from? The North was habitated by Ligurians, Celts, Rhetians (similar to Etruscans probably from same family) and Venetians and other italic tribes. I don't know why every time under these videos there is always someone arguing if our girls are Italian or not. Just because you have a stereotype in mind it doesn't mean everyone has to fit it. She doesn't look or act more Italian than the other Italian girls on this channel. Italians can act and look very very different from eachother, from the blonde blue eyed type to the black and brown eyed type and everything in between and from very introvert to very extrovert type. All the Italian girls on this channel are super Italian just from different regions that's why the differences in style, behaviour and look.

@@Goldenskies__Gawwwd.... Do you understand the difference between "Is your country famous for an alcoholic drink" or "is there an alcoholic drink that's unique to your country" and "is there an alcoholic drink that is drunk in your country"?
