@@susieq9801 I am not familiar with the Bee Gees post disco stuff. In fact, I turned off ALL music in the early '80's. In the US it was a common practice on Dance Shows to have people like that. If you can Check out Hullabaloo where the girls are dancing to Smokey Robinson & The Miracles Going To A Go Go, or Hollywood A Go Go (in the 1960's whose Dancers were Playboy Playmates). Also they had Dancers on Where The Action Is (which was an Outdoor Version of American Bandstand) and in The Rock 'N Roll Movie The T.A.M.I Show they had Professional Dancers, one of which was Teri Garr who now has Multiple Sclerosis, and A Black Guy who would later be the Lead Dancer for Elvis Presley's Comeback Special in 1968. The Show was Co-Choreographed by Toni Basil (Mickey).
Barry probably took one of them home that night, judging by his pre-marriage MO. 😉
@@BGWhispererYou're bad, but likely did happen!😂
FEMALES BEE GEES FANS EVERYWHERE THEY LOVE THEM FOREVER ♾🇮🇲🇦🇺🧔🏽👨🏻🦰🧔🏽
sublime
Interesting. It's Maurice playing the guitar not Barry. AND a 12-string guitar no less by that final shot where we see the headstock.
@@junesmith4159 If I recall this song came out in 1966 or 1967.
That would make Maurice and Robin 17 or 18.
But close enough. Raw talent.
RIP Maurice and Robin.
Long live Barry Gibb.
Long live The BeeGees.
I could have sworn I left a comment here about facebook banning anyone who shares this clip to a fb music group.
very cool concert! tell me, please, what year is it? I want to find more videos from this concert🤩
1966
This music is hot and intelligent, it seems that it starts with a single note. Or do you want to look like that? Could someone here translate for me (I'm brazilian and I have little knowledge of the English language) what it means (the real meaning of the expression) "Spicks and the Specks"? Thanks.
Now I know where Robin got his dancing moves!
I'm just glad Robin was on a podium and unable to "dance". Stunning ethereal voice but not a dancer!
Barry’s always had innate moves.
@@BGWhispererYes he has!😁
Btw, notice the other poster in this thread?!😉
YOU HAVE MEE BEAUTIFUL BARRY HOPE WE CAN BE TOGETHER SOON AT CHRISTMAS TIME BECAUSE WE LOVE EACH OTHER VERY MUCH I LOVE THIS SONG AND I LOVE ROBIN AND MAURICE THEY ARE ALWAYS SINGING TOGETHER
Me gusta mucho 😂
Todo está enigii i no lo entiendo.
Could someone tell me if Australian Executives went to America and watched American Bandstand and copied it's Blueprint. Also with The Dancing Girls and Guy they had them on Hullaballoo, Shindig, and Shivaree as well as a Dick Clark Show called Where The Action Is.
YES THEY WERE THEY DID SOME DANCING IN 1966 AND 1967 GOGO GIRLS WERE EVERYWHERE
@@marilynnewtongibb7670 Actually Johnny O'Keefe acquired the Australian Rights to Where The Action is from Dick Clark.
Why are my comments being deleted? They are valid. Do not link this to any facebook platform or you will be be given a 3 day ban by fb.
MARILYN LOVES HER SWEET HUSBAND BARRY AND BARRY LOVES HIS WIFE MARILYN WITH ALL HIS HEART
12 Ppl apparently don't feel joy in their lifes^^
TWD 💪♥️
Anyway we could get the whole show without the archive labels etc.
SUPREME PLUS
What is with the preview writing over this classic? This was on you tube without this crap. How could you. Get rid of the preview signs all over it You have spoiled it completely and can't be a Bee Gees fans
mary88stella1 Australia's television stations sometimes use "classic" videos straight off UA-cam - see how bad the quality is compared with the original videotape or kinescope film.
MARILYN IS ON YOUR SIDE BECAUSE I'AM MARRIED TO SIR BARRY AND MARY THIS VIDEO WAS DONE FOR THE BEE GEES AND THEIR FEMALE FANS IN THE CROWD THIS WAS 1966 I WAS ONLY 3 YEARS YOUNG THEN
Omg!this marilyn chick is trolling again with her delusions!Married to Barry?!!!The disrespect to his wife Linda Gibb is just shameless coming from this nutjob.
@@eufemiagallarde4011 I don't think Linda has much to worry about. I'm sure it would give her a giggle.
@@missym7245 yeah maybe! But her delusions are just weird and borderline crazy.

😂
I know I am going to anger some die hard BeeGees fans by saying this, but in my opinion, it was a mistake for him to go falsetto during the disco period. Yes, we have megahits like Tragedy and SNF, but their earlier songs are so much better
Completely agreed. The pre disco era of their career had something true and they sounded more natural in the earlier days.
@@painterbythesea - I agree too. At least their post disco stuff also had some real gems too. I was not in love with the falsetto era AT ALL!
@@susieq9801 I am not familiar with the Bee Gees post disco stuff. In fact, I turned off ALL music in the early '80's. I felt I had listened to the fabulous songs of the golden era - 1960's to mid '70's and I began to hear the faint sounds of mediocrity creeping in from around 1975 that seemed to herald a future loaded with awful music to come. I quit and have no regrets whatsoever. So when I listen today, it is always music from the 1960's to mid '70's.
@@painterbythesea - My Sirius in the car is on 50's and 60's. I did tune out too but actually discovered some great stuff recently from later albums thanks to You Tube and COVID. Songs like "Ellan Vannin", "Come on over", "Alone", For whom the bell tolls", "Love never dies", "I still love you", "Wedding day", "Bodyguard", Secret Love", "When he's gone"
@@junesmith4159 - I liked the falsetto in that song and a few others but didn't like it when it was overdone. Songs like "Too much heaven" was better in their natural voices as they did later on in concerts.
