Sayers and Scoville has produced the best looking coaches for decades. I remember as a youngster traveling by air with my dad to take delivery on our S & S funeral coaches. Always a proud moment when we finally pulled into the drive. I wish we still had better "platforms" on which to build hearses. I can't get used to the hearses having the small front ends and then having the back end still basically too large for a balanced look. BRING BACK Town Car or a larger Cadillac!

Okay this is in a convention center which makes the sound echo. And everyone likes to show the sound of their vehicles sound system. I have also seen funeral processions where the hearse is playing music or bagpipes while going through the cemetery. As everyone says, no one is making u watch it. If u don't like it, then don't watch it.
its a divider, its main purpose is as a separator it has no real practical purpose since the casket or coffin is secured by a goose neck clamp before the car is driven. the window is so the driver can see to back up.
It's for comfort as far as hot or cold air in the driver's compartment. I haven't ever seen a hearse with any type of rear heat/air conditioning. It's not necessary since most funeral processions are just a short drive from funeral home to church to cemetery.
The interior window is as much a partition as it is an aid to visibility. It is there to create a sense of privacy or sanctity deferring to the deceased. Isolating the casket area from the driver area provides an extra layer of 'respect for the dead.' The glass divider, obviously affording a rear view for the hearse driver (and doubly essential with an extra-long vehicle), maintains the general reverence shown by the funeral director and his/her assistants to the body in the casket. It may also give some assurance or comfort to grieving families -- who are often surrounding the vehicle -- that their dear departed is being handled with the utmost care, sensitivity and empathy.
Regardless of how wonderful and beautiful the Hearse. The casket still meets the grim reaper (the bulldozer) loaded with dirt, in the end...and yes, you have to pay 💰 for that "service" as well.
I've seen videos of older hearses I think from the 60's didn't come with a radio but I think later on. This is nice but older Cadillac funeral coaches looked better. I know funeral homes update their cars which I do understand. Enjoyed the video.
Well like I will always say.. When I comes to that dearly departed loved one. The surving families should let that final ride be the best and smoothest of rides ever. 😐👍🏾👍🏾
That is very large herse for bigger caskets. Its really cool. I live in Baltimore md I'm not to far from Joseph brown funeral home.. I seen them with this herse. That sounds system is pretty cool.. thanks for giving them that herse

Tony, honestly if a funeral home had a hearse like this I would think twice about going with them...it seems overdone and I would fear they would keep high overhead and charge me the difference. I would like a clean hearse, that looks good deliver me not this overdone bs that thing looks rediculis just sayin'

You've got to be kidding!!.....I guess those in the industry (aka those on the other side of the "grief strickened"..) would see the need for and appreciate, even to the point of calling them "fun" items on a hearse. A necessary industry no doubt and they DO strive to provide the very best for the families, but to hear it being advertised like this is just plain "creepy"...not seeing its wrong and not saying its insulting...just saying it sounds creepy...just saying....

I was thinking the same thing...it just feels sort of 'slimy', music blairing, he's kind of narcisistic with his shirt all unbuttoned all beaming about this prized "sweet ride" all while she is wowing and swooning over it calling it 'fun' it's like this job is too dull for him without this excess pomp and circumstance of extra bragging rights.
I am open to other ways of doing things I LOVE how heartfelt and beautiful New Orleans Jazz funerals are...it's just that BLAIRING music if it isn't live is NOT my cup of tea and this hearse is overdone. I would like to see a more tasteful hearse like more IDK...elegant and classic???I am having a difficult time describing things and this guy (the undertaker?) needs to tone it down a few notches. he seems cocky. Just gives me a bad vibe...both of these people actually do this lady is WEIRD like really wowing over this it unsettling
To some degree I guess it's nice to see people excited about things that make their jobs easier...I felt like that guy oozed car sales man (they are not my favorite people), so glad he's not an undertaker. And I guess in the profession you get two ends of the spectrum...one end is that funeral business passed down from generation to generation and the other is eccentric people maybe like this women. Someone has got to do this job. I can see how in any trade you could get excited over something that makes the job a bit easier...so I see your point completely. Here we all are seeing it all as macabre when in fact this is part of life and she is wowing over something that might be a preference to some families to help them fulfill final wishes in a way they feel a loved one would want. If the music were not blaring this hearse would not be so obnoxious looking.
Just shows what a money grab the funeral industry is. I used to selll and embalm. There are some really good options out there that are affordable all this ‘fluff’ costs you money you don’t need to spend. Buyer beware
The way the back door opens and moves to the side out of the way is neat and the bumper protector is what I am impressed with.

I'm a funeral director. My employers funeral home owns one of these with the swing away door. Its been repaired at least 3 times.
