I remember standing in the foyer of the church as an eleven year old boy for my 19 year old brother's casket to be placed on the church truck. A very vivid memory as he died in an automobile accident and changed the course of life forever. I was fascinated by the sturdiness but smooth roll of the truck once the casket proceeded to roll down the aisle to the altar. Many friends and family in attendance. I felt two hands on my shoulders as the casket rolled by me. I looked up for my Dad but it was my Uncle Ted. Dad was somewhere, would be seen on weekends for a dozen years or so. The grief of losing his first born was too much to overcome and died at 59. Seems like yesterday.... I'm going on 63.
Hearses will have bigger chassis to accommodate overweight ppl. Obesity is very common in the US. When she asked him why they were taller… you could tell he didn’t want to say it. Yes there extra height for the pall. The church truck storage is nice. Hearses shouldn’t look modern. Did you know automakers make cars sleek and curvy bc they make you think of a woman’s body? Esp sports cars as men usually buy them.
Quite frankly, the coach builders don’t have a choice. The vehicle manufacturers quit making cars and have gone to SUVs and CUVs only. Unless you want a Mustang or Camaro hearse…and the Camaro is going away in a year. I guess you could still get a Chrysler 300C hearse…if you hurry.

300C is stopped 2023 is the last edition
How could someone attending NFDA not know what casket stops were??
Those attending NFDA would know, but others outside the industry watching this video might not know.
Oh, a Chevy Tra-Hearse!
Suv hearses are tacky af, bring back the style
In order to do that the automakers would have to bring back style . I'm unsure if they employ anyone that knows or cares about style anymore .
SUVs are overall dangerous with their high and tall bumpers, we don’t need dangerous hearses there’s enough stigma around death already
