The large “syringe” with the tubing attached is a trocar and is used to aspirate fluid from the body cavity. The trocar has a 3-sided tip which pierces the body cavity so that fluids in the body can be “sucked out” and drained. It is needed to pierce the heart and drain blood. Since the heart is the pump that pushes blood throughout the body, this organ can contain a great amount of blood that must be drained so that embalming fluid is able to move through the veins and arteries.

It would be INCREDIBLE for parts too. I have a 1996 Chevrolet Caprice (9C1), a special police model. It has heavy duty suspension components that are exclusive to other 9C1s (most of which have been destroyed by now), limos, and Cadillac hearses. I have lower control arms from a 1994 hearse on it right now

I'm honestly both creeped out and fascinated by what this funeral home looks like. My sister committed suicide back in 2017 despite my efforts to save her, so yeah, it does somewhat bring back memories. I hope that when my time comes, my body would be turned into a tree so future ones wouldn't be so frightened of visiting me. I hate seeing my sister in a jar, even though it was what she "wanted" according to her ex.
By the way, I do believe that "piano" at the beginning truly was an organ, but hey, I could be wrong.
Otherwise, thanks for showcasing this! Perhaps this video might be a good way of introducing to others what death looks like outside of cemetery life.

The sharp object with a tube coming off of it, is called a trocar. It's for removing the bodily fluids like blood and then adding the embalming fluids. How it's done is to graphic to explain here. Thanks for the cool exploration.

The owners might have lived in the mortuary. When I was in college in the later 1970's, I knew a few students who lived in a mortuary apartment and took calls in the evening and overnight. One time, I covered for one of them and I answered the door and a family member brought some clothes for a family member. I saw the member in the prep room. She was around 26 and pregnant. She had died in an accident. So sad.

You've been to funeral homes for the wake/viewing and funerals before right? Other than small children who are too young to understand the concept of death, I thought teens/adults were aware of the presentation of the body, makeup, clothes, etc. The makeup is specific for deceased vs. makeup women wear daily. It is an occupation that actually requires training and education similar to undertakers and others in the funeral business. It takes a special person to be able to do that...I would think since it would kind of creep me out!

Btw the super glue is used to glue the eyes and mouth shut so they don't pop open during the services and traumatize the loved ones. Death isn't pretty and it's the mortician job to make the deceased as presentable as possible to not traumatize the loved ones.

Some of the items in this funeral home might have been in better shape when it was first abandone. Sale all to pay for the debts. Maybe the property. Banks always let buildings rot instead of selling it to make money and pay the debt.

Those were coffin samples, or maybe coffins for a very, very short person.

The mouth is shut with super glue, before they used a special way to sew the mouth shut.
The large syringe is used to drain the torso of body liquids.

It bothers me when these abandoned funeral homes still have remains that we're left behind. How does that even happen? There are lots of creepy things in this place. I think that super glue is used to glue shut the eyes and mouths. They used to sew those together.

I don't belive this place is truly abandoned, I think you were trespassing on private property just not used but still owned by someone.

Any spare coffins really would like to have a good bed. Hey that place looks like a good place to raise a family. Any good body parts up for grabs??
