    I can't imagine anybody not finding that helpful. In my second year, building a reef. The exact thing that you are speaking of is already happened to me once.

    Perfect timing on this video Travis. I just recently noticed some corals looking unhappy and noticed my alkalinity had dropped a lot more than usual, after adding new Frags. Great info!

    Great video and I agree with everything you said. I think in my opinion not much thought is given to "fresh cut" to "healed" corals when people purchase new corals for their system. Will done.

    Huge fan. Your information is so efficient and precise(even though I understand a bit of it already) it is invaluable to new reefers. You are really offering something great to the hobby like the brs videos. You are someone who will excell where ever applied. It is cool to see it applied to reefing. Don't ever stop learning(higher education and books included) and applying and I have no doubt you could be an industry leader. 1m subscribers and paid talks at MACNA and reefapalooza are well within your level of focus and effort. Always looking forward to the next well designed video

    I just added a toadstool today, is it possible for me to add another soft coral like maybe xenia 3 days later? Will anything bad happen (spike in nitrates or ammonia or smtg)? by the way, my tank is a 12G nano.

    Thank you so much for the vid! Haha I like how karma whipped the yellow tang after he bullied the scopas. I am planning to get a foxface soon, do you have any advice as a previous owner of one? Do they eat turf algae? I am putting him in a 4 foot 120 gallon tank. Thanks

    • @FishOfHex

      Yea the yellow tang has been getting his ass handed to him by the entire tank. Karma is real thats for sure.

    After you filming the corals getting cut into frags you should show a clip of them like 48hr later where they are all opened up.

    • @FishOfHex
      @FishOfHex  6 років тому +1

      i actually showed them two days later in a clip before i cut them up. I was thinking about adding more but i put the website up instead.

    The BRS tank trails threw in a bunch of coral in the three tanks. Very few loses.

    • @FishOfHex

      Guess ill have to start watching brs at some point

    • @matyas4878
      @matyas4878 6 років тому

      The BRS team said that they lost DOZENS of frags in the sps tank. (of course it was dozens out of a hundred or more frags, but still)The other tanks went fine though.

    • @brianculater6444
      @brianculater6444 6 років тому

      gtank. In the SPS tank they did have a bunch of losses in the softy tank and in the LPS tank they had minimal losses “Travis is right regarding adding to many SPS at one time.

    You talked about freshly cut corals needing more alk and ca. Do they need higher levels or just require more dosing to keep stable?

    • @FishOfHex
      @FishOfHex  6 років тому +1

      Same level but they will pull more out to heal requiring more dosing to compensate and it's different for every tank
