You can do the same thing just use what hes useing and turn the blue lights till the white sand is blue and pick up a camera filter at your local coral reef store🥂
Very informative. Was in retail sales in the early 90s and an avid hobbyist at that time, I recently was able to rejoin the community and have seen so much change! Wonderful results. Thanks much for your videos.
Wow very beautiful! I'm starting on this hobby. Just doing the cycle right now. I will be paying more close attention to your channel. Thanks for sharing.
I've pretty much never rinsed frozen food off - ever. Just never made sense to me to do that, even though I heard many times from others that it needs to be rinsed. I was actually surprised when you said you didn't rinse it either. Really nice tank.
My fav coral to feed was my orange plate...it reminded me a bit of an upside down starfish...if you put food near the outside of the plate, it would pass the the food from tentacle to tentacle until it made its way into the middle mouth. I would often hand feed it by just reaching in with a chunk of squid or shrimp and hand it off and watch it do its thing.
The Scoly is sick! I haven't really had one on my list but yours is the first video that makes me really consider one. Have a great Chrissy and thanks for a year of great vids - they are super helpful and this one is amazing ;)
I'm happy every time you bring out a video. just a great reef tank. fantastic colors. Unfortunately, there is no rod's food in germany. I would have liked to try it. thanks for the view/ report.
I've found that not rinsing food on smaller systems works alright (works totally fine on my 37 gallon cube) but on my 150 gallon system I absolutely would not recommend feeding unrinsed mysis or frozen food of any kind. Not because of the additional nutrients but because when feeding larger quantities of frozen food, the oils from the shrimp cause the skimmer to shut down for several hours (usually around 4-5). This can cause some serious algae outbreak problems in the long run, especially if you feed every day. In my experience you're better off feeding rinsed mysis / frozen blend, and then feeding the corals with Reef Roids and maybe some live phyto which should be more than sufficient for both your softies and LPS/SPS.
ABSOLUTELY amazing really good video I'm very green just started my very first reef tank a 90 gallon . What's the best advice u could give also where can I get the best bang for my buck on buying corals thanks
Loved you coral feeding video, the coloration on your corals is amazing, I'm having a problem with green hair algae, have you used any product called Vibrant or Phosguard, I probably feed too much, I have high quality lights, any advice would be much appreciated.
You have beautiful colors for sure, but some video/photo/filter/blue lights AF boost colors is probably the reason why lol, I do it come on bro keep it 100
if you’re saying not to defrost the food as rinsing... then i rinse because there the moisture that has been absorbed to freeze the food is helpful to keep it frozen. then all i need to do is strain it. i’ll try the reef roid & fuel mix
I love your tank, but especially, the back side, it looks like you have applied flat rocky panels and the corals grow on it? could you tell me how / what did your do? I have been looking for background panels for a while...
Really nice response from the corals. How many times a day or how did you feed your fish besides those corals feeding? Did you also feed them frozen on daily basis or just dry food?
actually its on a frag plug, entire plug is covered...shud i just glue it to where i want it to carpet? its been growing kinda slow. maybe cuz i been moving it alot
Had nice acan. Was doing amazing growth the lot. One day just didn't open again. Been like it for week now. Not gone white. What is don't get the clown fish keep trying to cover it with sand. Never done that before. It's like they already know it's dead?
Most people actually do. I use about half the amt he shows here and it's made a difference in my corals growth and colors. As he pointed out though, be sure to slowly acclimate your tank so you don't have a huge surge in bioload.
Very nice video mate I basically do what you do Wednesday and Sunday turn off my floor the only thing is I never use reef roids I've had a bad time with it in the past it killed a few of my corals apart from that spot on I feed mine amino acids phytoplankton coral paste and Gammer LPS food
@@eatsleepreef9565 I don't have very good fish stores around here. I will look for it online. I wish you and your family a very merry Christmas and a great new year!
i see that polyp booster is an amino acid. Can I substitute Brightwell's amino? I have some teeny tiny holy grails micromussa and I am tired of waiting until lights go off at night to feed them! Amazing how the feeders came out using that! How do you keep nitrtaes in control? That was quite a lot of food!
Hi, First off all well done with this video, your tank looks amazing. So my question for you is do you only feed your fish twice a week when feeding the coral or more? also what size is you tank set up. Kind Regards, Luke.
Hi, great video, My tank has been suffering with algae on my rocks and no matter what I try it just keeps coming back and sometimes with hair algae, rocks with nothing on I can take out and clean off with vinegar but what can I do with rocks that have corals on ?
Yes! This is exactly the type of explanation and example shots we need. Great video.
That is the most incredible tank I've ever seen, the colors are unbelievably vibrant, great job.
This is the most colorful tank I've ever seen it's gorgeous. Thanks for sharing
You can do the same thing just use what hes useing and turn the blue lights till the white sand is blue and pick up a camera filter at your local coral reef store🥂

Thanks
I've pretty much never rinsed frozen food off - ever. Just never made sense to me to do that, even though I heard many times from others that it needs to be rinsed. I was actually surprised when you said you didn't rinse it either.

Amazin tank and the colour of all the corals oh my! Good job and watching from Canada 👍

Nice, I pretty much feed the same way. Thanks for the vid!
I've been thinking about switching to Rods and I think you've convinced me!
You won’t be disappointed

Amazing for a 45gal AIO tank. Better than bigger tanks with sump and all the expensive equipments.
Perfect mix of corals! Is the tank a 90g cube?
Great video and info.
Thank you for the video

Hahha your not alone!!

Pretty cool! Where did you get that long feeding tube?
LFS
Thanks! Do you remember what it is called?
Very nice video mate I basically do what you do Wednesday and Sunday turn off my floor the only thing is I never use reef roids I've had a bad time with it in the past it killed a few of my corals apart from that spot on I feed mine amino acids phytoplankton coral paste and Gammer LPS food

Hahahahahaha hahahah 🤙🏼😉
@@eatsleepreef9565 tank is looking good man. Keep it up!
What size is your reef tank, and did you ever have coralline algae on your glass
The tank was a 45. Never grew in the glass only on rock. And never a whole lot either
Cool video
I use a mix of oyster feast, reef roids and coral aminos.
i see that polyp booster is an amino acid. Can I substitute Brightwell's amino? I have some teeny tiny holy grails micromussa and I am tired of waiting until lights go off at night to feed them! Amazing how the feeders came out using that! How do you keep nitrtaes in control? That was quite a lot of food!
Nice video. What kind of nutrient export method do you use?
How do you keep that level of fish stocked. Seems a lot to me. I'm novice though.
Hi,
First off all well done with this video, your tank looks amazing. So my question for you is do you only feed your fish twice a week when feeding the coral or more? also what size is you tank set up.

Thanks for all the info
Awesome tank 🥰😂
Does your live clam filter your tank well, that’s assuming that the blue thing towards the tank is a live clam.
Hi, great video, My tank has been suffering with algae on my rocks and no matter what I try it just keeps coming back and sometimes with hair algae, rocks with nothing on I can take out and clean off with vinegar but what can I do with rocks that have corals on ?
Could you possibly do a video on the filtration system ? Plzzz 🙏
I looking into making my own tank soon
What is that beautiful blue and yellow coral on the right side?
Great video
