I love my new monster padi!
They did a good job on this one.
This is the first generation 4 Seiko monster that actually appeals to me . I’ve always wanted to add a monster to my Seiko collection preferably a third gen with a 6R15 movement but with that said this fourth generation Padi monster is nice and loving the blue bezel with red minute and second hand along with red bezel pip is a winning combo . Great review Michael and nice to see a Seiko on your channel again👍🏻
Thanks so much for your kind words and support Joseph. I really appreciate it brother.
Desire 68 Frogman you’re very welcome my friend and it’s always a pleasure seeing your vids . Keep up the great work 👍🏻
Oops, It is indeed about the “Monster” today guys 😬
Mike, that monster is nice.
Wrong Time Watch Not a bad example at all Kevin.
Very accurate. The monster was one of the first few dive watches I purchased.
Snuggletummy Nice, the OM gen1 was my first dive watch and started the slippery slope for me.
It's not about the monster... the excitement makes you say crazy things LML :-P
Cheers Rob :)
I remember holding one of these when it was first announced at SEIKO Boutique in London, and thought the cyclops is a fine addition... Like the lugs that are like shrouds to the bezel :)
Only one thing places me off, is the branding of PADI, unless I was paid to advertise that LML :-P
Amazing video my friend, and cheers to Rob again :)
Thanks Phillip. The world definitely needs more “Mr Rangeman”😉

Nice review, Mike. I just can't get past the day/date magnifier. I have the same problem with the new Alpinist. But, I have to say that every collector needs at least one Seiko Monster in their collection. My orange Gen 2 still keep bang-on time at +2 spd. Keep up the great work and enjoy your weekend!
live2ride49 I hear you Ted. To be honest, that day/date magnifier is a sore point for most Seikoholics. I’d just do the crystal swap, job done. Thanks again, have a good one.
@@desire68frogman98 Check out the Seiko SRPA83 - PADI Tuna. There are similarities here...
live2ride49 very true Ted. It would seem as though the “Seiko Apple” never falls far from the tree.
The seiko monster 100% better than your g-shock watches mate !
That’s your personal opinion and you are entitled to it. 😉
Man should watch JAMES BOND movie NOT watch POWER RANGERS movie even its only opinions.
I don’t want to assume what you mean by that analogy, but if someone likes both, then that their personal choice.
The fact that I have both the Frogman and the Monster should tell you something. By the way, you are commenting on a very old vid. I have a much more recent one of the JDM version of this monster which I bought for myself and I also changed the sapphire crystal here on the channel. It’s not a crime to love both the Frogman and the Monster mate. Also, happy Frog Friday 🐸🐸🐸
The bezel is so cool !
It’s definitely one of the features that I really like with this watch.
I need a 4th gen monster with a steel bezel and blue or orange dial as the 3rd gens are way too expensive these days.
I agree with you there on needing a steel bezel option. Hopefully there is one on the horizon as it would look good and sell really well.
@@desire68frogman98 I just found some new 3rd gens on the internet and it would be over € 1000 which is totally insane. 500 seems reasonable. Hope they come out eventually in 4th gen :)
Yeah, that’s extremely high priced. Wait it out, time usually brings these things into line😉
I removed the cyclops on my monster it looks better without it. You don't have to remove the hardlex crystal to remove the cyclops.
How did you remove it, the “Random Rob” way?
@@desire68frogman98 no there is an easy way without fire. There is this liquid called GoofOff that eats up adhesive. Put some on the cyclops every ten minutes or so and it will start to eat the glue that holds the cyclops down. It doesn't damage the crystal at all it only eats away the glue. It's a slow process you will be there probably an hour or a little more but it works. I'll send you some pics to your email so you could check it out it's the 3rd gen monster SZSC003.
Thanks for the email and the info. Seems to be a very good removal process.
The Seiko is not worthy being in the same video as a Frogman Gshock. The money they charge and the quality issues, Seiko sucks these days.
This Monster was a good example, but I definitely wouldn’t compare any of my Frogman to Seiko declining QC standards. Apples to Oranges really🤔
@@desire68frogman98 No comparison. Gshock genuinely rules. Citizen a close 2nd.
