Hey mate, so the seconds hand is actually in the bottom dial. So that bottom dial is the seconds hand that ticks. The big, "classic" seconds hand, the purple one, that is used for timing with the chronograph. So if you depress the top pusher, that will activate that second hand. If you press it a second time, then it will stop and if you depress the bottom pusher, it will reset it. So essentially it is used for the stopwatch function. And yes, it does have a screw down crown, so you will need to unscrew it in order to change the time. Hope that helps :)

Thanks I had never used an unscrewing crown so I was pretty confused as to why I couldn’t pull it out as hard as I tried 😅. I did see the thing about the purple hand being the timer a few videos later, I wish it was opposite… I’d like to see the purple active like all my other watches 🫤. Do you think I could just leave the timers purple hand on indefinitely so I could get the same effect as it just being the seconds hand??🧐 Or would that be bad for the watch..?🤔 Also I’m worried my watch is still defective even after y’all telling me some of the things I was worried about are the way it’s intended to function. When I tried clicking the top button it didn’t start the seconds timer, and of course I can’t tell about the reset bottom button because the purple hand never moved 😢. @@JohnDudley-l7x As I didn’t have it in for very long I can’t comment on the length of time that the lume lasted. I do own the Aquamatic IV and the lume on that dial is very good and definitely lasts.

Hahaha, that’s funny. Believe it or not, that Poison frog is one of the smaller models in my frogman collection, I actually prefer the Doxa sub 300 series.

@@mwboost this is 💯 correct and nothing to worry about. The D1000B has a blue tint to it and the Tiffany has a slightly green tint. It’s very subtle on both and can look darker or lighter, depending on the angle of the module in the light.

I sold this one now but the battery is still good. It’s been a few years. The battery in the 7C46 module is outstanding.

I tend to get a little OCD about them Syncing. I religiously check them every morning and it’s a result when they all receive the signal. Just recently, the Ft Collin’s tower was damaged by a storm. My MB6’s didn’t receive properly for weeks and it really bugged me. The tower must have been repaired as I now receive the signal daily again. Between that, and keeping the solar cells topped up, my watches really do keep me busy.

If I’m right, it’s a threaded bolt and bar setup so when tightened up the whole setup will rotate. To undo the bolts, you would use two Allan keys turning in opposite directions to each other.

@@Slim-Diesel I find the tones from the buttons and the hourly chime to be quite loud if I’m honest. I never use the alarms though, I’m not one for alarms period.

I wouldn’t clean it with anything other than warm water and dish soap. That resin is old now and will not do well with cleaners and other materials that may harm it.

@@desire68frogman98 Cheers, will do. One thing I noticed with the DW 9900 is the inner circle dial shows minutes in an hour dial instead of seconds in a minute dial and I find that much nicer. Do any other Frogs show that instead of the usual seconds?

No Jeff. I’m a digital Frogman diehard. It was the way G-Shock intended it to be. Having said that, this carbon Frogman is a little special. I wore it yesterday for Frog Friday and I couldn’t take my eyes off it. I don’t much care for many of the other A1000’s though.

Thanks for chiming in. The older frogman tend to be the smaller models for example the DW-82xx/DW99xx models are suited to a smaller wrist size.

This statement has so many questions. What model? How old? Bought new or used? Was it an original and not a fake? Was it ever opened for a battery replacement? I’ve never had an issue with the water resistance of any G-Shock and I have had over 100 of them over the last 28yrs including my original DW-002 model from 94.
