Hi, thank you for your question. The local mafia in Calabria is called 'Ndrangheta and yes, it is a problem for locals due to corruption in the local government, but it does not affect tourists at all so visitors shouldn't be scared of visiting Calabria. @briantravelman, there exists no gangs in Calabria in terms of dangerous street gangs like the ones you see in movies about Mexico and Latin America, so I would say that Calabria is just as safe as any other region in Italy. Wanna come there but how
Love the place. Underrated and barely a foreigner in sight (Why?). L'unica lamentela sui Calabresi è che molti mi scambiano per un Triestino o Trentino. Le mie origini sono Istriane/Dalmate (Croazia). Non ho niente a che fare con Trieste o Alto-adige.
Yeah we agree with you, It's basically unknown by foreign travellers! Probabilmente parli molto bene italiano e i calabresi non ci credono che tu possa essere di un'altra nazione 😄

Calabria is beautiful but it’s a different world and the lack of public transit will drive you crazy.
Yes you're right 😁 Where are you from?
Si scia in Sila (Palumbo Sila, Lorica e Camigliatello sono i centri sciistici) per 4 mesi all'anno. A Gambarie faranno un mese di sci se va bene.

Are you on telegram..
So that i can get you in touch personally
No, but you can reach out to us at info@italybyitalians.com
Why are you saying the sea between Calabria and Sicily is dangerous? Who told you there is not good public transportation? There are 2 trains lines on the Tirreno side and one from the Ionio side, plus from Paola you can cross Calabria to reach Soverato! and we have the Freccia Rossa that you reach Rome in 3 hours and 30 minutes. Without mentioning the busses are everywhere! Remake the video with more accurate information, please!

Hi
The links are busted
Translation can be a funny thing. Just thought you'd like to know that "hippocampus" in English refers to a part of the brain, although it's clear the word you're looking for is "seahorses."

Hii
Hello!!
Isn't there a huge problem with gangs and the Mafia in Calabria?
Hi, thank you for your question. The local mafia in Calabria is called 'Ndrangheta and yes, it is a problem for locals due to corruption in the local government, but it does not affect tourists at all so visitors shouldn't be scared of visiting Calabria.
If you are thinking about visiting Calabria don't let this prejudice stop you!
@briantravelman, there exists no gangs in Calabria in terms of dangerous street gangs like the ones you see in movies about Mexico and Latin America, so I would say that Calabria is just as safe as any other region in Italy. The Ndrangheta unfortunately is a problem on way bigger scales than local street thugs.
please must reply
Subcraibe
Thank you!
Just dont go there and throw your garbage and pushing your negative attitude. Its a poor region so dont slag the people or ruin the natural beauty.
Isn't this place notorious for drug trafficking and Mafia
