actually, Project Sonic is the first game teaser for the Switch though the Project Sonic trailer used the NX development name instead so I guess in that sense Breadth of the Wild is the first game trailer to use the Switch name and logo =-P

The score in the BotW trailers have been very cinematic! I wonder if the songs will be in this form in-game and at which point will they play... most likely in cutscenes and other cinematic moments.

The first play through of totk / botw is just so amazing it was basically my childhood

Every few years when they show off trailers for a new Zelda i get that same feeling, its beyond excitement. No game series can come close to that feeling...
Here especially i feel we have a game that is the culmination of mine and many others gaming life. Something truly special that i cant quite put into words but it makes me feel very emotional and i wonder how many others feel the same way.
Here we have a world i simply cannot wait to be part of.

I think that the soundtrack to this game gets better every time we hear it.

Six years since this game, and this trailer still gives me chills. Like literally every time I watch it, multiple chills go down my spine. The beautiful arrangement of songs and the incredible gameplay and graphics.

Destroyercam Cam Surprisingly you couldn't do that with the Wii U. For all they bragged about how it was portable, half the time you couldn't leave the living room before it lost connection with the console.
You could have done that anyways with the WiiU game pad or with a commode set up in your living room.

Who else got this recommended after 6 years? We’re now less than 3 months away from the sequel coming out (TotK), and I cannot be more hyped. I saw the thumbnail of this video and got excited for a second thinking this was something for the new game!

I highly doubt they would have made an entire follower mechanic just for a simple wolf link amiibo. In other words, I'm fairly certain that there will be followers in the game (dogs or people), and the wolf link amiibo just makes use of that mechanic to give us a cool optional companion.

I'm not expecting full companions with dialogues and back stories or anything :) (even though that would be pretty awesome imo lol). Anyway, I see what you're saying, I doubt the follower mechanic is just for the amiibo, but I won't be getting myself over hyped either :)

I legitimately would watch and enjoy that.
I really like the symbolism in the beginning. From the tears and pain of destruction, life returns and the people of Hyrule begin to pick up the pieces. This game is the most beautiful take on a post apocalyptic setting.
This trailer still gives me chills. This was my favorite of the big 3 BotW trailers.

By the time we get it I think it will have been 3 years since the E3 2014 reveal.
We have a set date for 2017, so at least we have at least a few months more to wait. But knowing Nintendo, watch them make it like December 2017 lol.

My guesses are that the people we see are Sheikah, the girl is Zelda and the bird that looked like Falco Lombardi is part of a new tribe. The airship reminded me of the Oocca though..
When I saw the bird, I immediately thought about the Rito from WW, but being a n entirely new tribe is a possibility!
Legend ofSm4sh180 the bird does remind of the Rito indeed! Still, even if it is part of a new tribe, that tribe could be connected to the Rito or Oocca in one way or another. However, a connection to the Sheikah also seems likely, given the design of the airship and the letter 'S' carved into it.
All of this makes me even more curious about the plot and the timeline placement of this game..
Yeah, I was curious about the plot. Link waking up in the resurrection chamber...that means he must've lived at a different time before! Who knows how long he's been asleep...
Legend ofSm4sh180 according to the female voice we can hear talking to him at the beginning of the game, he has been asleep for 100 years. I think this Link is the Link from OoT, who died battling Ganon and was resurrected by the Sheikah because there was no hero after him to stop Calamity Ganon
The Sheikah are a secret race who serve the royal family. I doubt they just wonder about in Hyrule like that.
So, having watched this a million times over and gone through the comment, I'll be the first to voice this:

I mean, this piece and the e3 one both were incredible. For all the changes we've seen Zelda go through since Twilight Princess, music is one of the biggest and I hope I'm not alone in the love ☺
I'm buying the soundtrack day it's out, otherwise illegally downloading off youtube.
To offer a differing opinion, No I'm not - I don't believe everything should be orchestrated for the sake of being orchestrated. Ever since SS, or arguably TP, their songs don't hold as an identity of their own: can you sing back the melodies you learned from those titles? (OOT and MM are strong contenders of holding their melodies across time.)
The kookyness of the beedle shop theme, the spaceyness of the Astronomical Observatory, the Creepyness of Majora's incarnate battle - You lose every bit of the feeling by replacing the instruments with orchestration.
But popularity of an opinion sells and that's fair tbh.

TonyDaExpert Personal problem you say? No, it's an opinion. Stating my opinion is a problem is exactly like stating someone who's excited for a soundtrack solely because it's Zelda is also a personal problem. - meaning no matter what the composer does nothing can be wrong with it.
Besides it's not about whether you can or not, it's will you be able to recall it easily within a single play-through.

I'm assuming it's a slightly more evolved Rito tribe, given this is a drained Hyrule from Wind Waker as shown by the existance of Koroks.
But it looks to be more evolved since windwaker. Maybe its something similar but not exact?

well, the Rito evolved from the Zoras after Hyrule flooded, in reaction to it in fact, so it'd make sense if they evolved even further since, given the draining takes a long time. If they are descendants of them, then I really don't see this being in any timeline besides the Wind Waker one.

I figured wolf link was just an amiibo exclusive dog. I think it would make sense that you could catch/buy and train a dog and give him commands to help you in battle.
I think a dog will come in handy for collecting items from enemies you kill with your bow, instead of having to run the distance to pick it up, the dog could do it.

I really want that, but if dogs do help you in battle that would mean they could possibly be killed. That would be surprising to see in a nintendo game.
angel carr Wolf Link can die. They confirmed that once Wolf Link dies you'll have to wait one day (one real life time day, not in game day) to be able to respawn him with the amiibo. Since these dogs aren't amiibo dogs you wont be able to respawn them, which means they'll stay dead ones they're dead (possibly).
I hope this game gives us a teen rating like Twilight Princess. From what we knew of the plot itself it was going to be dark but with the shots from 0:53 to 1:01 it looks like some BAD stuff happens. All I'm saying is I want another Zelda game that can perfectly balance dark and creepy with light and happy, like Majora's Mask, and I think this can be it.
Bartholomew Thundercat III I don't understand why people care about the T rating. I think it's just 12 year olds that don't want to be seen as little kids or something, which I think is pretty cringy. Why not just put ratings aside and appreciate what the game actually has to offer? The ratings don't even make sense any way. Smash Bros Melee was given a T rating for no apparent reason besides the amount of violence every other smash game has.
Unicorn Beats I think the game should contain content that actually WARRANTS a teen rating, like a villain who's more evil or darker subplots and things like that.
There's no way this game will be teen, it will probably be e10, because it's not realistic. But games like Starwars battlefront is teen because its more realistic and has more violence.

I think it was done because this also released on Wii U. In fact, at its core, it’s a Wii U game and was in development for that console way longer then it ever was with the Switch port.

Clark Ballinger I highly doubt it. They disconnected them all so much that it is going to be nearly impossible to reconnect them all again. Besides, Spirit Tracks Hyrule is completely different than the other 2 timelines.

NeonFish710 Impossible. Hyrule is underwater, and its just the Great Sea. This cannot be after windwaker. Plus, there are no spirit tracks, and the Tower of Spirits is not shown. Death Mountain is also in view, and people know about Hylia.

Zelda Breath of the Wild is a masterpiece, one of my all time favorite games, the sense of exploration is something I have never seen in any game before, the world, colorful art style, fun gameplay, relaxing music, it’s a real feel good game that I just enjoy playing, the sense of adventure and exploration is always a treat, a true masterpiece game 👏👏👏👏

As a Zelda fan and player of this game I am ashamed I just now watched this trailer for the first time. All I can say is, WOW. What an incredible job by the marketing team here. The music in these trailers, how it flows with the video sequences... just stirs up these strong emotions: empathy, despair, hope, excitement. Just incredible. This is the greatest game of all time and possibly one of the greatest marketing campaigns of any game.
