Continuous farming on same location also contributes problems for climate change.
More sustainable way is government need to rethink zoning on agriculture give it a range of fluctuating patch to replanting of smaller eco system.
Meaning plow ground in area A, farm for 2 years then plant wild variant of local plants, move farming operation to area B, then keep going to area C, D.
For someone who think this would be a lot but planting wild plants are not as hard as planting seeds, takes no more than a day. The idea is grow back whatever is being taken away leaving soil clean, so when soil is clean it has less needs of pesticide and retains a bit more water.(I think with the population boom this is already too late, mass farming is not the way to go)
We’re still talking about emission and climate people have dug its head into the sand like ostriches because they are afraid to talk about water and soil…it’s worse than people think.

Back-breaking work. Should be replaced by machines.
