Vegeta’s rage is stronger than SSJ3 so I’d say Goku is right in the battle of gods, someone just slap bulma and Vegeta would be even stronger than SSJ3
The idea is that Gohan's rage boosts mean so much more because he puts mental limits on himself which rage makes him ignore, whereas Vegeta doesn't have this problem
What astounds me is that Vegeta never thought to perfect Super Saiyan the same way Goku did during the Cell arc. Vegeta went into the Time Chamber first and you would think that someone like Vegeta, who is very smart would think to master SSJ like Goku would when he enters the chamber. I know that Toriyama likely didn't even think of this beforehand since that's how he do but as far as in-universe explanations go, I don't think we ever really got one. I am absolutely sure that Vegeta mastered Super Saiyan extremely quickly following the Cell arc though. Other than all that, my thoughts have always been that it's kinda a big plot hole for Vegeta to not go SSJ2 when Trunks was killed.
goku achieved super saiyan first so he had about 2 YEARS worth of experience with it, so it was much easier for him to master super saiyan as opposed to vegeta who barely interacted with his partner in the time chamber, his son trunks.

Vegeta isn't some child playing with matches either, he had a pretty good handle on the power in the scenes that we see him using it in. He should have come up with the same idea Goku had as Vegeta is in many ways smarter than Goku.

You just said "Never Again" that gives vegeta a motivation to continue training into Z especially with the fact he has a little trunks. Those emotions he felt for his son wouldn't disappear with him into the timeline they should instead be transferred and carried on. That alone would cause massive changes.. Vegeta would train harder, vegeta would train trunks harder[potentially changing Goten and Trunks relationship] and hell, Vegeta being able to swallow his pride he could possibly include the other Z fighters in his ambition, which would increase everyone's power. But the most important change would mean that vegeta is increasingly emotional and attached to his loved ones. That in and of itself would potentially change alot of buu saga, especially in regards to the fact that he has 7 years to sit and reflect or expand on those feeling.
I mean just add in the lead he gets over Goku here, and they prevent Majin Vegeta, because hes already surpassed Goku, alongside characterization possibly doing even more going forward!

Basically, Gohan’ rage boosts aren’t him gaining extra power from Nowhere, it’s him removing the subconscious limits on his already impressive power. For someone very reserved like Gohan, the rage boost is much greater than the supposed rage boost Vegeta could have received seeing Trunks die, as at the time Vegeta still reveled in arrogance and aggression. By the time of Battle of Gods, Vegeta has mellowed out quite a bit, his heart has noticeably softened, and he’s become a good person, also, we just finished the fight with Majin Buu, with Vegeta admitting that Goku was better than him, but not being upset over it. At that point, Vegeta still continued to train hard, so he may have been unconsciously lowering his power, so Bulma being hurt triggered that potential he’d been holding himself from. Also, remember, Vegeta’s transformation made him Bulky, as bulky as his super Vegeta state, I think Vegeta’s rage filled transformation was something beyond the standard supersaiyan 2, maybe mixing traits of previous super Saiyan grades.

@@erikoabuyog7936 I doubt Kami knows about Saiyans seeing as how he didn't even know he was Namekian until the Saiyan Saga. Kami will probably not care about Goku at the beginning due to his low power level, however, he'll probably keep an eye on him from time to time in order to make sure he won't be a threat to Earth. Eventually Kami would stop Goku when he transforms into a Great Ape for the first time which will result in Grandpa Gohan not dying. Afterwards Kami contemplates on killing Goku but decides against it due to Gohan's pleads and sensing that Goku has a pure heart. He gets rid of Goku's tail and either leaves to go on protecting the world or takes Goku under his wing so he could be his successor.

At Buu arc probably not...connection with those people aren't strong enough....but a few years later he has a deeper connection with them...and wants to protect them like an actual father or husband in Bulmas case.
vegeta would also get a rage boost,just not as significant as gohans,as rage boosts are a Saiyan trait. This is shown most prominently in the goku black arc when the Zamasu duo told goku about what happened to his family and goku got enraged and briefly kicked the shit out of zamasu and black.
Vegeta's rage boost gives him a 5* multiplier while SSJ3 is only a 4* multiplier. This was shown when he was enraged against Beerus. Also in his enraged form he has caramel gold hair, which is the same shade as SSJ3.
Not possible, the only reason Goku was able to achieve SSJ3 was due to the unlimited Ki and lack of limits on his body provided by being dead in Otherworld. As for Gotenks, he’s a gag character, and a fusion, him having SSJ3 was never meant to be serious.
Flower Boi with how much Vegeta trains, he would’ve unlocked it during the 7 year time skip, if not when he got the Majin power up, or during the 5 years between the Buu arc and BoG.
Actually this could possibly change the buu arc and here is why: vegeta unlocked ssj2 with gohan and accepted his help, his character in that moment had a slight change slight enough that he wouldn't give up fighting like in the original, he would be significantly stronger, and master ssj2, trunks would feel happy his own father loved him to push through his pride and fight to end perfect cell. as for the 7 years, because goku is dead all vegeta would really have as a rival is gohan. while gohan would study i feel vegeta will push him a bit to get some gravity training in so he doesn't fall so behind vegeta. what does this mean for babadi? NO MAJIN VEGETA. he has no reason to feel any animosity to goku due to not giving up on himself and learning how important family is. even if somehow majin buu is revived i'd say vegeta could possibly have the same high grade version of super saiyan 2 like trunks did in the super arc. now if you wanted to take the buu route somehow maybe with the energy they stole from gohan being larger than in cannon, vegito will also be far stronger in cannon or gokhan would appear. you could even give vegeta ssj god seeing how he is slightly softer than his cannon counterpart.
As much as I like this I don't see Vegeta being selfless enough to train with Gohan. He mainly trained in isolation in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber even though his own son was in there with him.

Thats only in super, super made it so that rage boosts are a saiyan trait. If you watch dbz, the only character that gets rage boosts is gohan, its his defining character trait. And no, super saiyan transformations are not rage boosts, just transformations unlocked in times of great need, usually when emotional.

Full Power Super Sayian is the same multiplier as regular Super sayian. It just doesn't consume as much Ki, doesn't inhibit the fighter with rage and has better control. Also in the Manga Vegata and Trunks don't use their Super Vegeta or Super Trunks forms during the Cell games. It implies they actually did get the Full power Super sayian form.

In super vegeta loved bulma. In the cell saga vegeta didn't progress in his relationship with bulma(you can see that when bulma goes to the lookout to give the z fighters the sayain armor, vegeta was rude to bulma telling her to get lost)
Super saiyan grade 4 isnt a real form, if anything its just mastery of super saiyan 1. There were no actual buffs provided by mastering it except for getting rid of the ki drain provided by ssj1. The reason goku and gohan became stronger than vegeta and trunks is simply because their base forms were more powerful than theirs which can be attributed to the fact that training in ssj1 gives more of a significant gain compared to just training in their base forms. Another factor for why they became stronger was simply because goku and gohan had more potential than vegeta and trunks too.

You definitely need to create a part 2 because this change in power and behavior will have effects on Vegeta (training, relationships, Majin Vegeta, etc.).
While I agree that Vegeta would still not be enough to finish Super Perfect Cell it's for a couple different reasons, most are due to translation errors. For one, Grade 4 SSJ or Full Power SSJ doesn't actually increase the user's multiplier. It's still 50x base, however at this point in the series Toriyama had sought a different way to approach his character's strengths as he felt it was at it's pinnacle and intended ending after the Cell saga. That was the whole point of the Infinite Energy Androids/Cyborgs 17 and 18 and what made them such a threat in the series. Grade 4 was more of a mastery of form as not to use excess energy to transform and/or maintain the transformation thus prolonging the user's stamina and allowing them to use greater attacks without the drawback of drain for maintaining the SSJ transformation. This is all in the Daizenshuu btw. SSJ2 is also called Grade 5 in the Daizenshuu and has a multiplier on the base of the user of 100x, the SSJ transformations don't stack as Toriyama saw them as further mutations of the same transformation. So Vegeta's lack of Grade 4 wouldn't inhibit his multiplier in Grade 5. The reason I believe Vegeta wouldn't be able to finish Cell properly isn't really a strength issue is that at this point Vegeta hadn't had the same mastery of form and I believe he would of ended up in the same predicament as SSJ3 Goku versus Kid Buu, the strain of the unfamiliar form would create drain issues for him long before he could deliver the killing blow.
I thought that a) SSJ2 required mastery of SSJ, essentially the ability to use FPSSJ/SSJ grade 4, and that b) they were stronger in FPSSJ than in SSJ only because they had more control over energy consumption and usage, so it wasn't a power boost but an efficiency boost.

I think on the canon situation we got a truly rage boost for vegeta, but without SSJ2 he couldn’t damage cell. If he got the SSJ2 plus his rage boost i think he could beat perfect cell, but not super perfect cell as you mentioned.
The subtle change in Vegeta's personality means he is slightly more likely to work with others. The massive power boost means he knows he is on par with/way ahead of Goku. He'd probably even cajole Gohan into sparing with him from time to time during the time-skip.The Majin Buu arc is now filler. Gohan could be stronger, but even if that didn't happen, Vegeta has neither the need nor interest in getting help to beat Goku so Babidi is kinda screwed!

There is a major issue with this what if that you completely ignored: Vegeta's rage boost. Vegeta would have the multiplier of SSJ 2 WITH a major rage boost. And considering the significance of this rage, this could actually put him briefly above SSJ2 Teen Gohan. After all, Vegeta got a nasty rage boost when he fought Beerus, which puts him way above SSJ3 Goku so it would make sense that this Vegeta would Molly whoop Cell and destroy him
I think Gohan was still significantly stronger than s-perfect Cell though, don't forget he killed him off with only 1 hand and severely damaged on top of that, yes the other fighters helped him, but he only went all out when Goku said "Now"!
I would love to see a video about what if Goku had gone SS3 against Majin Vegeta. A lot of people probably think it’s a clear answer but personally I think it would have favored Vegeta. Vegeta is resilient enough that despite the power gap he could survive the beating from SS3 Goku long enough for his stamina to run dry. On top of that because Goku isn’t taking that much damage rather he’s just exhausting himself the energy shouldn’t go to Major Buu thus giving Gohan and Supreme Kai more time to defeat Dabura and Babidi
I'm pretty sure Gohan didn't get a rage boost in ssj2, except for the beam struggle. He didn't look like he wanted to go on a rampage or anything, he just looked calm and none of that was stated. The rage boost in his ssj form pushed him to ssj2. Gohan was already stronger than super perfect cell, even Goku said use your full power
It makes sense more from an emotional storytelling perspective than just a technical one. Vegeta's emotional arc for the whole android saga is about accepting his responsibility of becoming a father. He's nothing but a baby daddy at the start with baby trunks. To begrudgingly training with future trunks in the time chamber. His fatherly instinct to protect/avenge Trunks after Cell kills him, is a form of self-actualizing that would be powerful enough to trigger SSJ2. It mirrors his emotional arc of accepting the truth of his own abilities when he gets SSJ1 that his power doesn't come from his royal line or status but he must humble himself and admit that he has room to grow. The emotional journeys of each of the Saiyans is what make the early transformations interesting and that lack of growth is what makes the later transformations less compelling.

What if Goku survived the cell games? He had like 5 seconds once he got to king kai's planet. So, if they all were to gather around each other, he teleports everyone there safely.
I actually do think this deserves a second part to it because Vegeta actually might be able to achieve Super Saiyan three and probably train the weakness out of it and then show the rest of the Z Fighters his power and Gohan might actually train with Vegeta in order to unlock Super Saiyan three as well
I would say ssj2 Vegeta would get the fpssj power if he became a ssj2 because in the cell saga ssj2 is a transformation that is the Ascension of a ssj after they have mastered the form of ssj and gained fpssj. So for Vegeta to go ssj2 he would have to unlocked the power of fssj to even get access to ssj2. And Vegeta not getting a rage boost doesn't make sense since in Canon, bog Vegeta got a rage boost from Bulma just getting slapped from beerus. Though cell saga vegeta's emotions are more closed off than bog vegeta, pretty sure the moment he realized that he actually cared for his son and at the same time he just saw him get killed by the same guy who made the him look like a weakling, yeah no Vegeta would get a very good rage boost on top of his hypothetical ssj2 cell saga transformation.
I never truly understood why this didn't actually happen, 16 realistically meant virtually nothing to Gohan, yeah they shared a similar desire to protect nature, but that's really it. Vegeta watched his son get F-ING MURDERED, by a cheap shot no less, after what they thought was the end of Cell AND Goku (which Vegeta probably should have already been pissed that Goku died before he could surpass him in battle). All the conditions should have been right for Vegeta to go 2 at that point, but he just, didn't. Ever since he got it from Babidi I'd been confused as to why he only just now got it GIVEN TO HIM instead of when his own son got killed by a cheap shot from a villain that his greatest rival had to sacrifice himself to prevent HIS sons screw up from truly dooming everyone.

I know this is a old Post but after watching this video and then watching the show I think the reason why Vegeta wouldn't get the rage increase is because if you notice through the whole series even in super that in order for Goku and Gohan and maybe even goten to reach their full potential they have to be mad whereas when Vegeta first turns super Saiyan, and correct me if I'm wrong, he's was crying and sad that he couldn't reach it and then it snaps something in him which made him turn super Saiyan so when he saw Trunks get killed and he was able to turn to super Saiyan 2 the sadness part of it should have boosted him up to at least where Gohan is and or maybe a little bit further because Vegeta and Trunks seems to get they power not from rage but from sorrow or from feeling helpless whereas Goku, Gohan and even Goten would get it from rage and anger.
Even if Vegeta had mastered Super Saiyan (Specifically after going in the Room of Spirit & Time twice). As well as receiving a high power boost like Nappa did when he went after Gohan & Krillin to make Goku double his power level to stop him in canon, he still wouldn't be enough against Super Perfect Cell.
Now hold on Nappa's power was a 4,000 right then he goes on to contend with Goku's Over 8,000(after powering up) Goku even calls Nappa tough and suggests the fight will take a while meaning there pretty relative so while Goku is over 8,000 Nappa is likely around 8,000 meaning he got about 2x stronger We know that Vegeta surpassed 50% of MSSJ Goku meaning this "Nappa Boost" would put him over Goku and likely around MSSJ Gohan's level then he gets 2x stronger from SSJ2 and we know SSJ2 Gohan(Without his Hidden Power) is roughly comparable to Super Perfect Cell meaning Vegeta would be comparable to Super Perfect Cell

When Cell came back after killing Goku, Gohan was at his absolute maximum power at the time. It was only his mental block that held him back, and the guilt that Goku had died. When Goku finally convinced him that it was not his fault, but Cell's, it all hit Gihan at once again. 1st, Cell killed thousands of innocent people, then had the Cell Jr.s beat down his friends, the Cl savagely stomped out Android 16 in an almost T-800 to John Connor moment talking to Gohan which still makes me tear up, the. Killed his father in an instant, and as soon as Cl came back, he milled Trunks as, whom Gohan had a special bond with in 2 timelines. When Goku said "...blame Cell" and " remember all the pain he's casued; the people he's hurt- now make that your POWER!!" It sunk in.. when Gohan took has stand, anchored in the ground, an electrical whirlwind around him, and he sId "Ok dad, I'm ready!" Cell was screwed

Vegeta went into the Time Chamber first and you would think that someone like Vegeta, who is very smart would think to master SSJ like Goku would when he enters the chamber. I know that Toriyama likely didn't even think of this beforehand since that's how he do but as far as in-universe explanations go, I don't think we ever really got one. I am absolutely sure that Vegeta mastered Super Saiyan extremely quickly following the Cell arc though.
Other than all that, my thoughts have always been that it's kinda a big plot hole for Vegeta to not go SSJ2 when Trunks was killed.
Its because toriyama hates vegeta compaired to goku and gohan
goku achieved super saiyan first so he had about 2 YEARS worth of experience with it, so it was much easier for him to master super saiyan as opposed to vegeta who barely interacted with his partner in the time chamber, his son trunks.

Vegeta isn't some child playing with matches either, he had a pretty good handle on the power in the scenes that we see him using it in. He should have come up with the same idea Goku had as Vegeta is in many ways smarter than Goku.

You just said "Never Again" that gives vegeta a motivation to continue training into Z especially with the fact he has a little trunks.
Those emotions he felt for his son wouldn't disappear with him into the timeline they should instead be transferred and carried on. That alone would cause massive changes..
Vegeta would train harder, vegeta would train trunks harder[potentially changing Goten and Trunks relationship] and hell, Vegeta being able to swallow his pride he could possibly include the other Z fighters in his ambition, which would increase everyone's power.
But the most important change would mean that vegeta is increasingly emotional and attached to his loved ones. That in and of itself would potentially change alot of buu saga, especially in regards to the fact that he has 7 years to sit and reflect or expand on those feeling.

Nowhere, it’s him removing the subconscious limits on his already impressive power. For someone very reserved like Gohan, the rage boost is much greater than the supposed rage boost Vegeta could have received seeing Trunks die, as at the time Vegeta still reveled in arrogance and aggression. By the time of Battle of Gods, Vegeta has mellowed out quite a bit, his heart has noticeably softened, and he’s become a good person, also, we just finished the fight with Majin Buu, with Vegeta admitting that Goku was better than him, but not being upset over it. At that point, Vegeta still continued to train hard, so he may have been unconsciously lowering his power, so Bulma being hurt triggered that potential he’d been holding himself from. Also, remember, Vegeta’s transformation made him Bulky, as bulky as his super Vegeta state, I think Vegeta’s rage filled transformation was something beyond the standard supersaiyan 2, maybe mixing traits of previous super Saiyan grades.

Kami will probably not care about Goku at the beginning due to his low power level, however, he'll probably keep an eye on him from time to time in order to make sure he won't be a threat to Earth. Eventually Kami would stop Goku when he transforms into a Great Ape for the first time which will result in Grandpa Gohan not dying. Afterwards Kami contemplates on killing Goku but decides against it due to Gohan's pleads and sensing that Goku has a pure heart. He gets rid of Goku's tail and either leaves to go on protecting the world or takes Goku under his wing so he could be his successor.

Vegeta's rage boost gives him a 5* multiplier while SSJ3 is only a 4* multiplier. This was shown when he was enraged against Beerus. Also in his enraged form he has caramel gold hair, which is the same shade as SSJ3.

Not possible, the only reason Goku was able to achieve SSJ3 was due to the unlimited Ki and lack of limits on his body provided by being dead in Otherworld. As for Gotenks, he’s a gag character, and a fusion, him having SSJ3 was never meant to be serious.

Actually this could possibly change the buu arc and here is why:
vegeta unlocked ssj2 with gohan and accepted his help, his character in that moment had a slight change slight enough that he wouldn't give up fighting like in the original, he would be significantly stronger, and master ssj2, trunks would feel happy his own father loved him to push through his pride and fight to end perfect cell. as for the 7 years, because goku is dead all vegeta would really have as a rival is gohan. while gohan would study i feel vegeta will push him a bit to get some gravity training in so he doesn't fall so behind vegeta.
what does this mean for babadi? NO MAJIN VEGETA. he has no reason to feel any animosity to goku due to not giving up on himself and learning how important family is. even if somehow majin buu is revived i'd say vegeta could possibly have the same high grade version of super saiyan 2 like trunks did in the super arc.
now if you wanted to take the buu route somehow maybe with the energy they stole from gohan being larger than in cannon, vegito will also be far stronger in cannon or gokhan would appear. you could even give vegeta ssj god seeing how he is slightly softer than his cannon counterpart.

Full Power Super Sayian is the same multiplier as regular Super sayian. It just doesn't consume as much Ki, doesn't inhibit the fighter with rage and has better control.
Also in the Manga Vegata and Trunks don't use their Super Vegeta or Super Trunks forms during the Cell games. It implies they actually did get the Full power Super sayian form.

Super saiyan grade 4 isnt a real form, if anything its just mastery of super saiyan 1. There were no actual buffs provided by mastering it except for getting rid of the ki drain provided by ssj1. The reason goku and gohan became stronger than vegeta and trunks is simply because their base forms were more powerful than theirs which can be attributed to the fact that training in ssj1 gives more of a significant gain compared to just training in their base forms. Another factor for why they became stronger was simply because goku and gohan had more potential than vegeta and trunks too.

Your power breakdowns as to what levels are more powerful than others and what they compared too are so clean.
Its crazy how these older videos seem of lower quality compared to your newer stuff but at the time, this was peak what ifs to me
While I agree that Vegeta would still not be enough to finish Super Perfect Cell it's for a couple different reasons, most are due to translation errors. For one, Grade 4 SSJ or Full Power SSJ doesn't actually increase the user's multiplier. It's still 50x base, however at this point in the series Toriyama had sought a different way to approach his character's strengths as he felt it was at it's pinnacle and intended ending after the Cell saga. That was the whole point of the Infinite Energy Androids/Cyborgs 17 and 18 and what made them such a threat in the series. Grade 4 was more of a mastery of form as not to use excess energy to transform and/or maintain the transformation thus prolonging the user's stamina and allowing them to use greater attacks without the drawback of drain for maintaining the SSJ transformation. This is all in the Daizenshuu btw. SSJ2 is also called Grade 5 in the Daizenshuu and has a multiplier on the base of the user of 100x, the SSJ transformations don't stack as Toriyama saw them as further mutations of the same transformation. So Vegeta's lack of Grade 4 wouldn't inhibit his multiplier in Grade 5. The reason I believe Vegeta wouldn't be able to finish Cell properly isn't really a strength issue is that at this point Vegeta hadn't had the same mastery of form and I believe he would of ended up in the same predicament as SSJ3 Goku versus Kid Buu, the strain of the unfamiliar form would create drain issues for him long before he could deliver the killing blow.

I thought that a) SSJ2 required mastery of SSJ, essentially the ability to use FPSSJ/SSJ grade 4, and that b) they were stronger in FPSSJ than in SSJ only because they had more control over energy consumption and usage, so it wasn't a power boost but an efficiency boost.

I think on the canon situation we got a truly rage boost for vegeta, but without SSJ2 he couldn’t damage cell. If he got the SSJ2 plus his rage boost i think he could beat perfect cell, but not super perfect cell as you mentioned.

The subtle change in Vegeta's personality means he is slightly more likely to work with others. The massive power boost means he knows he is on par with/way ahead of Goku. He'd probably even cajole Gohan into sparing with him from time to time during the time-skip.The Majin Buu arc is now filler. Gohan could be stronger, but even if that didn't happen, Vegeta has neither the need nor interest in getting help to beat Goku so Babidi is kinda screwed!

There is a major issue with this what if that you completely ignored: Vegeta's rage boost. Vegeta would have the multiplier of SSJ 2 WITH a major rage boost. And considering the significance of this rage, this could actually put him briefly above SSJ2 Teen Gohan. After all, Vegeta got a nasty rage boost when he fought Beerus, which puts him way above SSJ3 Goku so it would make sense that this Vegeta would Molly whoop Cell and destroy him

I would love to see a video about what if Goku had gone SS3 against Majin Vegeta. A lot of people probably think it’s a clear answer but personally I think it would have favored Vegeta.
Vegeta is resilient enough that despite the power gap he could survive the beating from SS3 Goku long enough for his stamina to run dry. On top of that because Goku isn’t taking that much damage rather he’s just exhausting himself the energy shouldn’t go to Major Buu thus giving Gohan and Supreme Kai more time to defeat Dabura and Babidi
I'm pretty sure Gohan didn't get a rage boost in ssj2, except for the beam struggle. He didn't look like he wanted to go on a rampage or anything, he just looked calm and none of that was stated. The rage boost in his ssj form pushed him to ssj2. Gohan was already stronger than super perfect cell, even Goku said use your full power

It makes sense more from an emotional storytelling perspective than just a technical one. Vegeta's emotional arc for the whole android saga is about accepting his responsibility of becoming a father. He's nothing but a baby daddy at the start with baby trunks. To begrudgingly training with future trunks in the time chamber. His fatherly instinct to protect/avenge Trunks after Cell kills him, is a form of self-actualizing that would be powerful enough to trigger SSJ2. It mirrors his emotional arc of accepting the truth of his own abilities when he gets SSJ1 that his power doesn't come from his royal line or status but he must humble himself and admit that he has room to grow. The emotional journeys of each of the Saiyans is what make the early transformations interesting and that lack of growth is what makes the later transformations less compelling.

I would say ssj2 Vegeta would get the fpssj power if he became a ssj2 because in the cell saga ssj2 is a transformation that is the Ascension of a ssj after they have mastered the form of ssj and gained fpssj. So for Vegeta to go ssj2 he would have to unlocked the power of fssj to even get access to ssj2. And Vegeta not getting a rage boost doesn't make sense since in Canon, bog Vegeta got a rage boost from Bulma just getting slapped from beerus. Though cell saga vegeta's emotions are more closed off than bog vegeta, pretty sure the moment he realized that he actually cared for his son and at the same time he just saw him get killed by the same guy who made the him look like a weakling, yeah no Vegeta would get a very good rage boost on top of his hypothetical ssj2 cell saga transformation.

I never truly understood why this didn't actually happen, 16 realistically meant virtually nothing to Gohan, yeah they shared a similar desire to protect nature, but that's really it. Vegeta watched his son get F-ING MURDERED, by a cheap shot no less, after what they thought was the end of Cell AND Goku (which Vegeta probably should have already been pissed that Goku died before he could surpass him in battle). All the conditions should have been right for Vegeta to go 2 at that point, but he just, didn't. Ever since he got it from Babidi I'd been confused as to why he only just now got it GIVEN TO HIM instead of when his own son got killed by a cheap shot from a villain that his greatest rival had to sacrifice himself to prevent HIS sons screw up from truly dooming everyone.
because tori was focusing on trying to make gohan the main character(before fan popularity and publishers made him keep goku as main) but still, vegeta should've gotten a rage boosted 2, i mean he attacked cell out of anger despite knowing he was stronger

I know this is a old Post but after watching this video and then watching the show I think the reason why Vegeta wouldn't get the rage increase is because if you notice through the whole series even in super that in order for Goku and Gohan and maybe even goten to reach their full potential they have to be mad whereas when Vegeta first turns super Saiyan, and correct me if I'm wrong, he's was crying and sad that he couldn't reach it and then it snaps something in him which made him turn super Saiyan so when he saw Trunks get killed and he was able to turn to super Saiyan 2 the sadness part of it should have boosted him up to at least where Gohan is and or maybe a little bit further because Vegeta and Trunks seems to get they power not from rage but from sorrow or from feeling helpless whereas Goku, Gohan and even Goten would get it from rage and anger.
Even if Vegeta had mastered Super Saiyan (Specifically after going in the Room of Spirit & Time twice). As well as receiving a high power boost like Nappa did when he went after Gohan & Krillin to make Goku double his power level to stop him in canon, he still wouldn't be enough against Super Perfect Cell.
Now hold on Nappa's power was a 4,000 right then he goes on to contend with Goku's Over 8,000(after powering up) Goku even calls Nappa tough and suggests the fight will take a while meaning there pretty relative so while Goku is over 8,000 Nappa is likely around 8,000 meaning he got about 2x stronger
We know that Vegeta surpassed 50% of MSSJ Goku meaning this "Nappa Boost" would put him over Goku and likely around MSSJ Gohan's level then he gets 2x stronger from SSJ2 and we know SSJ2 Gohan(Without his Hidden Power) is roughly comparable to Super Perfect Cell meaning Vegeta would be comparable to Super Perfect Cell
A duo of ssj2 vegeta alongside ssj2 teen gohan vs super perfect Cell is the dream
Vegeta wouldnt be possesed by Babidi cause he doesnt need the extra strenght SO Babidi wouldnt get his extra energy so majinbuu wouldnt be revived and Gohan wouldnt get ultimate so cell max couldnt be defeated.

Killed his father in an instant, and as soon as Cl came back, he milled Trunks as, whom Gohan had a special bond with in 2 timelines. When Goku said "...blame Cell" and " remember all the pain he's casued; the people he's hurt- now make that your POWER!!" It sunk in.. when Gohan took has stand, anchored in the ground, an electrical whirlwind around him, and he sId "Ok dad, I'm ready!" Cell was screwed

If you ever did make a part 2, it could be that Vegeta knows now he cant win on his own and has to work with others in fights. Maybe during the time skip Vegeta keeps Gohan in shape to help him get stronger with him since he knows himself Gohan has more potential.
Well your forgetting that ssj2 is a evolution of grade 4 so then if vegeta went ssj2 then he would be closer to cell and gohan
