I was in the United States Navy in the seventies. I was a kid that grew up on welfare and poor. When I joined the navy my ship did a West-pac from San Diego, California to Hawaii, Japan, Hong Kong the Philippines and Diego Garcia (India Ocean) that experience made me realize how extremely blessed that I was a United States citizen. The honor of being able to serve my country was such a privilege. I remember the last year that I worked I paid $67,000 in state and federal taxes. My friend said that’s crazy I told him “ that’s a small price to pay to have been bless to be born a United States citizen”
Yeah I hear you on that Frank. I bet it was wild times to be in the Navy in the 70's. My uncle retired from the Navy as a Master Chief. I know a lot of tax money gets wasted but it does afford a lot of freedoms.
Siarigao is become the Hub of young foreigners from around the world, when they come to the Philippine most of them went first to Palawan, El Nido, Puerto Princessa, Cebu and Siarigao is there last stop. And live there for 3/6months .because they really like it love it and they have sooo much fun, partying and many more like Surfing 🏄♂️. It’s more love in the Philippine 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Opportunities to Americans is HUGE compare to so many on this planet. It is a wonderful thing to travel abroad to personal better understand this. I served 14-years U.S. Army. My travels brought me to Central America, Africa, Europe, Asia, 43 U.S. states, etc. .. One big take away every time I returned back to the U.S. is we take for grant the clear air, water, medical, etc.
I always proudly represent America and try to be as kind and respectful as possible. We are ambassadors like it or not. And there's a lot of rude foreigners..
As a Filipino American with dual citizenship I will never bash the US like some other folks here on UA-cam. They seem to forget that the reason why they're retired and live a comfortable life in the Philippines is because the US gave them that opportunity. With the average social security check they can live very comfortably while dining out anytime they want and not have to worry too much about their finances. Anytime I'm in the Philippines I'm always reminded of how much better it is in the US in so many ways (but not everything). I mean there's no comparison between a first world and a third world country when it comes to infrastructure, healthcare, access to basic necessities, efficiency/organization, etc. At the same time I'm not naive to know that the US obviously has its own set of problems - high cost of living, violence, homelessness, rat race, etc. But if you work hard and put yourself in a situation to better yourself you have that opportunity. I'm fortunate to know both cultures intimately as I was born in the Philippines, grew up in the US, and now live in both countries year around. Moreover, I'm blessed to have had the opportunity to work hard and save my hard earned money during the past couple decades to retire early. And that would have never happened if I didn't live in the US.
Wow I couldn't have said it better myself. I agree with you 100%. It is sad to see the bashing. Although there is a decline in America it is not yet as bad as people think and it tends to do well on UA-cam because people leaving can monetize it. I will say I am proud to be American and it is true about getting out what you put in. It is not like that in a lot of countries. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Take care
Hahahahahahahaha uhmmmmmmmm you can try to insulate yourself all day you have no idea what starting from the bottom IN THE U.S. living in the U.S. it's the funniest thing to hear this always from others who don't understand. Well I'll say this. Talk to some Mexican folks they'll tell you. If you are a COASTY hahahahahah good luck dog eat dog just like in the province hoods except FILIPINO TO FILIPINO YOU support each other BUT...............THEN YOU FIND OUT WHAT IT'S LIKE IN AMERICA TO DO IT THE SAME. AND WATCH HUMAN NATURE take over. So relax I call what people talk about is the Drake Effect you see it from the outside not the INSIDE EVEN GRANT CARDONE expressed privately and publicly HE GETS HOW F*CKED UP COMING FROM THE DIRT IN THE RICHEST COUNTRY will be PURE LUCK THAT YOU GOT TO THE TOP TOP WITHOUT TRAGEDY OR SOME WILD SH!T HAPPENING TO YOU. You have no idea oh and IF YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT THE RACE OF PEOPLE who may have it better ASK Eminem let him tell you how F***KED UP that place is to go from where you go to "THE TOP" they'll laugh at you. Also it's why I believe people like the New miss Universe get PRAISE because people are probably imagining what life was like to get to the point and what's crazy is you still have years to go before you get to a place where you are comfortable. What's comfortable in America AIN'T COMFORTABLE in the Philippines. Although it can be obviously but you need a whole different set of 💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵 AND SKILLSETS TO MAKE IT. Don't ever let a Westerner UNDER EXPLAIN a bottom to the top success story to you because we know people who HAVE MONEY THEN PEOPLE WHO STAND NEXT TO THOSE PEOPLE AND HAVE WHAT IS CALLED "F U money to make life" sustainable for not just YOU BUT YOUR GRANDKIDS GRANDKIDS America is the Superbowl of making it and being successful and trust me every defensive line is against you in America. Don't matter the race. Either you go alone and make it or you go with a group but you better make it.
Aaron you need to go home and get a decent qualification and career, work hard for a decade at least, then you'll have savings and investments to do all the travelling you want. Otherwise you are throwing the benefits of being American away, the opportunity to make good money will be lost. Work hard now, because when you're older you really won't want to.
I hear you Dan I think there is a lot of oppurtunity left behind but it is tempting with online work now because there are so many ways to make money. I appreciate the thoughts. Something I think about daily

Oh yeah that's a fact...even though life can be boring here it is efficient and fair for the most part. You get out what you put in in America
I've been watching your videos since day 1.
Wow really? I appreciate that
I always proudly represent America and try to be as kind and respectful as possible. We are ambassadors like it or not. And there's a lot of rude foreigners..
Yes we are it is true. Even though a lot of the foreigners are not America I think many filipinos assume they are.
