I like doing a chaos build with this shield useing the egg and the shield i also like how when you have it equiped Chaos sometimes says something funny
Chaos shield is great but not as much against bosses
chaos shield used to be a lot stronger especially with zeus build. But the star/pentagon pattern was removed and the original v-shaped blast pattern was re-implemented. That weakened the chaos shield.
It's still the safest weapon against bosses, even at extremely high heat levels. You can block everything, including REDACTED's skulls and lasers.
Safest doesn't mean fastest.

@@user-zu1ir2mv2p Another way to dodge them is by dashing, or using any deflect attack (if you have deflect dash, even better)
First time I ever cleared 32 heat was with merciful end Chaos shield. So many people sleep on this aspect but I love it!
Which boons for atk/special?
@@BigFatJuicyMonkies Not sure if this is viable at high heat, but if you're just starting out with a low titan blood Chaos shield or regular shield, get Ares on special.
With his keepsake and (if you have it) Fated Persuasion from Mirror of Night to get the right boon at the start.
You want Ares' Doom on special, and something like Aphrodite on Attack (or Ares again).
You can start using Dionysus on the special, among other things, once you have high titan blood on Chaos.

Haven’t played hades in a while but getting back into it! Hard to remember all the things I’ve learned over all the hours I have on the game lol
I just hate how the shield spread out. 3 of the 5 shields end up missing usually.
It used to launch in a shotgun pattern, but they changed it. Mostly cuz when all the shields could hit a single target, it was basically the strongest weapon in the game by a large margin.
@@NeoDMC I'm new to this game. But at 3:00 he said NOW they're thrown a shotgun pattern, and pre-patch it was a random pattern and they bounced between enemies.
@@Corn0nTheCobb Yeah I forgot to mention they've changed it twice, so when it was super OP they would do the shotgun pattern and bounce, then they would do random and bounce, now they just shotgun with no bounce.
Oh man I just beat 32 heat with what was roughly this build in two tries (I’ve been playing around in the 16 to 18-ish heat zone mostly and was fiddling around with pact combinations to no avail). Thank you for showing how viable this shield is!

@@pumbaa667 it’s just slang that the young people use sometimes. The comment is referencing another game called among us, and the term sus (short for suspicious) became popular in that game because it is all about identifying suspicious behavior. Sussy is just an unfortunate adaptation of sus or suspicious.

My favorite build for Chaos is Stygian Soul and fishing for Ice Wine, Black Out, and maybe the Zeus duo. I don't know why I'm so addicted to Black Out builds, but I just am.

@@BigFatJuicyMonkies It's Dionysus' Legendary Boon. Hangover-afflicted foes take 60% more damage in Festive Fog. It's hard to take advantage of UNLESS you have Ice Wine since that casts instantly. Either way, I prefer it with Stygian Soul so you don't have to recollect the casts.
60% doesn't sound like a lot, but it can effect calls, lightning bolts, and other stuff that rarely gets percentage damage bonuses.
Love how they nerfed chaos shield but then left eris rail in the game like that 😐😐😐

There is an interesting free demo in steam of a rogue like boddy swapping game with Hades-like in run upgrades. Random Access Mayhem. It's hard and also quite fun.
Can anyone explain to me why I’ve seen the videos of people using the shield where when thrown, it throws out five shields in a radial pattern (each shield fires in every direction around Zagreus, not just a focused pattern in front of him)?
That's how the shield worked prior to 1.0 of the game, so any video before Sept 2020 will probably show that.

Aegis Zeus shield; Poseidon on the special for 200% boost; the hammer that lets u do +50 damage when ur shield comes back; (maybe Hermes’ boon that increases special speed). Then just spam the special button and ur enemies are gone

How do you get the chaos sheild
If I remember correctly, I was able to purchase the weapon aspects after unlocking all of the 6 base weapons.
Youll get it the more you play
you buy it
It's one of the "normal" weapon aspects in that you can buy it immediately after unlocking the ability to purchase weapon aspects. You'll get this ability after unlocking all 6 basic weapon types (sword, shield, spear, bow, fists and rail).
Chaos shield doesn't become S tier until you unlock it's maximum level 5 form, so save up Titan Blood and take advantage of the Infernal Broker to get deals Blood as often as you can.

So shield was my first 32 Heat clear. But I used Zeus. Chaos Shield is my least favorite shield. haha
