There's so much unbelievable nostalgia right now. I know Shadow the Hedgehog was not a good game to grow up with, but damn, I played the hell out of it. Seeing some love for that game, AND a really sick mod for Forces makes a great combo.
That was in Shadow the Hedgehog itself too. It was just very hard to get an actual invincibility powerup in that game as they are usually in random powerup boxes. It gives you infinite ammo, like the hero and dark gauges do, just without the chaos powers.
I guess here, Shadow goes to Westopolis to fulfill whatever promise he made and Sonic and the Avatar character are here to confront him and Classic Sonic is also here for whatever reason all while the city is being destroyed by robots or something and Sonic's friends are doing their best to stop them but the odds are stacked against them.
When a modder has more creative and challenging use of level mechanics, while using pre-existing geometry, than all of Sonic Team's level designers with completely original geometry. Further proof that nobody tried when working on Forces.

+London Jackson A lot of the problems with Forces' were due to the rushed production period. They obviously DID put a lot of effort in with all those visuals, high poly models, textures, etc. Smh...

SA2 was amazing for it's story, and dark playable characters. Unleashed was amazing in the graphics, world designs, and, cutscenes. Generations was amazing in it's polished controls, the open level designs, detailed renditions of older stages, Colours was amazing in it's use of 2D which was new at the time, wisp designs, and fun ideas for levels. Forces does a lot of these things, but very mediocrely. The controls and physics are downgraded from Generations, the environments look nice but aren't as beautiful as Unleashed or Generations due to the lack of detail and realism, the story barely makes any sense and seems rushed with no real world building or character arcs, no pre-rendered cutscenes, the levels are the shortest we've gotten since Colours, and lack the interesting wisp gameplay whilst also lacking the open level design in 3D sections, it's an ACTUAL boost to win game. And Sonic Team have done so much better in the past, and need to get back to that.

I also understand that the official ones being better is likely to do with making good levels in the 3D engines being very hard, the right object, enemy and scenery assets may be missing, the movements and/or mechanics are different etc. I'd like to see some mods for Shadow the Hedgehog itself sometime, especially if/when an uncensored/uncut PC version gets made.

The Mystic Jungle stages use a parameter in the actstgmission.lua called "appgfxparam", without that, the weird lighting problems happen, as I can see you had Enemy Territory load the stuff for Lost Valley, but never added that parameter to the "attrs" section of the lua.
I wish the modders teamed up and made it so that sonic forces would have no repeating stages they would replace it with either different stages from other games or completely new stages
Since Knuxfan did a stage for Shadow with his Wave Ocean mod, he thought to do the same thing for Westopolis, but for Classic Sonic instead. Tbh, i'm glad to see that Classic Sonic is getting some love with mods for him.

No idea. Just shows that modding for Modern Sonic/Shadow for this stage was never really planned.
