Let's not look passed all the issues Chevrolet is having with many trucks. I'd be willing to bet that the Toyota Stout will be the best affordable small to mid size truck for long lasting reliability as long as it's made in America or Japan.
I for one only want a single cab , performance truck, not a family truck ..... one true to the heritage of the Cyclone name and performance to back it up.... GM build me a truck and I will buy it
buy something else. A syclone is to be a v6 turbo powered awd compact truck that hauls a55, not weight. What you want is called a Sierra, go buy that. Heritage dictates it.

My two cents, presuming top of the line gets the twin turbo V8, call that package the Syclone SS. A limited edition Silverado or canyon could be given lift, suspension, true off road racing prowess. Ford has Raptor, Fiat has the TRX. A smaller, less expensive model than the full size truck could compete with Toyota's Tacoma. Oh I doubt GM could match the fit and finish build quality but maybe.

I love it! Just please give us a 2 door, regular bed option please! It's beautiful just as it's imagined here; plus it would fit into my garage. The 550 HP engine would be a cool option, but so would an AWD plug in hybrid option. You could use that 3 cylinder engine as a generator for a range extended EV like a more practical, nimble, affordable version of the Ram Charger.
I’ve always said I won’t buy a car new off the lot when I can save a ton getting one with 10k on it but if they put twin spinny boys on a v8 and it looks anything like these renderings I will be on a waiting list asap. Technically it’s a truck so I’m not breaking my rule.

The old cyclone was light . A new one would be too heavy and most definitely wouldn't have enough power because gm has this silly idea that it would steal sales from their performance cars . Well YEAH !! And general motors would still be successful. The cyclone would have to mode powerful enough to compete with the Raptor, Trx and Shelby trucks . 700+ hp and not 400 hp . I see failure because gm has a bad track record of underachieving and not ovecompeting .

I Ran the Firestone Mastercare in Madison Hts, MI. that put on Every Tire and did Every 4 Wheel Alignment on them, "back then it took 4 guys to do it", and Those Thing are DEMONIC, PAS Inc had the Boost WAY Up to 18, 20lbs and you could Hit 100mph in a City Block, 0 to 60 in Under 4sec!
The Syclone is a canyon, just modified. Not sure why the "borrowed" etc. Like the v6 Camaro to SS/RS or lt1. Some huge differences, yes, but essentially the same car. Also @Chase Car, it's SYCLONE not CYCLONE....

The closest truck that Ford produced was the original lightning.They were cool ,but they were not very practical. These days it seems like everyone is more interested in 4wd and 4 doors.The original syclone and lighting were trucks,but in some ways they were similar to a 2 seater sports car.

Apparently the Syclone--with an 'S' has been in the works for several years. From a article I pulled up from 2021 they were saying at the low end it would be 80K. If that's the case I should probably stop watching this video now.

All these manufacturing workers that are going on strike are part of the reason these vehicles have inflated in orice so much is because making over $100 an hour isn't enough for them. I refuse to buy any new vehicles. I won't buy from a dealership either. Being greedy is what's going to cause you to eventually go broke. I've worked in a a factory with assembly lines... it's quite easy. So easy it because tedious and boring. At least to me. I can understand $40 to $50 but that should be capped at $50 an hour.
