I love you, Yoyomax! I used to watch your videos all the time in elementary school. Now I'm 20, running a small cupcake business, and I always come back to these videos for the nostalgia and the reminder of what inspired me to start baking in the first place. Thank you.
So glad I found this! I'll be making it for my daughters bday part, she'll be turning 9 and when she saw this cake she just fell in love with it! Thank you! I've made jelly rolls before so the rolling technique is nothing alien to me, and we'll be rolling it so that everyone gets a rainbow in every slice! Thanks again!
Oh no! When something like that happens to me, it's usually because I've left and ingredient out. So I go back to the recipe and triple check that I followed it correctly. And remember that baking is a science. The ingredients must be measured exactly, and instructions followed to the T :0) Hope that helps. And I hope it doesn't sound like I'm accusing you of not following the recipe, but generally when it happens to me its because I missed something :0) Nick x
+Anni Macca OH i might add it is because i put on weight easily, cause my mother overfed me when i was younger. Its a long story so we won't go there right now thanks
Also me, because they are addictive and so the foods that they made looks so yummy ! And I am not allowed to do this stuff like this roll cake or other recipes so I can't feel the taste but I can feel the taste in my mind
i used to watch yoyomax12 all the time when i was a kid, i was about to bake my mom a cake for her birthday and suddenly i thought about these videos but i couldn’t remember what channel it was, thank god i just found it!!! these were my favourite videos to watch
Thank you so much 😁😁😁😁 I made this roll on my birthday with all purpose flour (as cake flour was unavailable here) and used butter cream frosting. Everyone was surprised to discover stunning rainbow color just underneath white vanilla frosting !!! They loved the cake so much and this idea was an instant hit among my friends !!!!! 😁😁😁😄😄😄😄 THANK YOU 💖💖💖💖
Genius! How you should Roll it depends on how you gonna serve it! If you're going to display the whole cake, its prettiest with stripes vertical so you can see all colors, but if you're going to serve it cut, it's best the other way, so everyone gets all color of rainbow! Thnx so much for your advice! My kids birthdays are soon so I'm so glad to have found this! Thnx! Xoxo from ️CPH
Oooh, I'd like to see you do this again, but pipe the colors diagonally, I think it would help show off the color, and you'd get all the colors in each slice, so its win win :3
She called it 'happy' cream cheese because she drew a smile IN the cheese. The brown liquid is Vanilla. And I like where you get one color if cake. But I bet children love the rainbow. I would eat this cake no matter how you slice it. ☺
Tried making this yesterday & love the outcome! Even though I omitted the whipped cream for the fillings as I cant find it at the nearby shop, it still taste good. Thank you for sharing the recipe!
Been here so so long! You inspired my 16th birthday cake. Rainbow marble with black icing made myself for my friends and I. So much fun! I loved your helpful facts as a newbie baker and pastry or confection artist.. Undecided then and still because I got a degree in psychology lol!! I still bake for fun and get hype when the holdidays arrive.today I saw a Tigga Mac short video and it stirred up the memory of the rainbow cake thus your channel!!! I had to come back after so so so many years of having subscribed to you. Thank you so much for sharing your content!
Hello, I make all rainbow baking because it's so much fun. Personally I prefer the way when each slice shows all colors. Well done yoyomax12! Thank you! Greetings from Germany
It's always surprised me how colourful some food from the US and Canada can be.. In the UK we don't really have colourful cereals and things like Froot Loops, etc. It's just odd. I tried Froot Loops and gosh, they taste so artificial and sugary to me.. Probably just because I'm not used to it. Bright, artificial colours just aren't appetising to me! Looks very pretty, though.
Wow. I particularly like how my comment wasn't at all passive aggressive, and I'm actually a subscriber of yoyomax. I like looking at the colours, just not eating them.
WHY EVERYBODY ASK ME THE SAME THING? I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO DOES IT. THE REASON IS VERY SIMPLE .......MY EYES ARE GETTING TIRED OF THE COMPUTER SCREEN AND I FIND IT VERY DIFFICULT TO READ THE SMALL LETTERS.............I PREFER TO WRITE THIS WAY IN ORDER TO PROTECT MY EYES , SO SO SIMPLE!!!! I DON'T WANT TO MEAN ANYTHING , SUCH AS EMPHASIZING OR SHOUTING ......IT'S JUST A MATTER OF EYES' HEALTH.!
Katerina May IS THIS THE ONLY EFFECTIVE SOLUTION? HAVE YOU TRIED OTHER THINGS LIKE READING GLASSES, COLORED OVERLAYS, OR LOWERING THE BRIGHTNESS? DID YOUR OPTOMETRIST/OPHTHALMOLOGIST TELL YOU TO DO THIS? (I am not yelling. I am protecting Katerina May's eyes.)
Thanks for your Rainbow cake & ice cream videos. I watched them both. Just wanted to say that your voice is particularly pleasant, and your dialogue & tempo very easy to understand. As a result, I believe I could actually easily make these 2 recipes. I liked that as you transition to each next step you clarify in advance, and gave helpful tips for alternative products and uses. I look forward to seeing more of your videos, and I thank you for your excellent job!!
They both look delicious but as for appearance, at first I liked the one showing all the colors before you cut it, but then once you cut it, the one with all colors in each slice looks SO COOL!!
I love this recipe! I haven't made it yet but it is so simple and so pretty & sounds delicious! I prefer the one where the full rainbow is in every slice of cake. My 63rd birthday is coming up in just a few days. I love rainbows and I'm making this for myself... and I hope that the recipe for the tie dyed ice cream is also online by the time I make the cake.
Oh I love that. I cheated recently and made a 5 colour cake ( the 4 came from a packet I added a chocolate layer). This looks wonderful. Such fun. I am going to save this for when I am home again. Thanks for the demonstration. 👌🩷🇳🇿🙋♀ Greetings from Hamilton New Zealand. 🥝
Anybody here in 2021?😗 I used to watch these videos when I was younger. 🥺Around 8. I used to save them to my kindle fire tablet because I didn’t have data!😂🙌🏾❤️
OH! so hard to decide! I love them both ways. I like the solid color pieces, yet the ones with a touch of color are so nice too! Maybe I'd have to make one of each kind and pre cut the pieces for the part and arrange them on a platter together.
I like both. It's quirky yet beautiful! I can't wait to try this. I'm going to try diagonal stripes, maybe get the best of both? A tip/reminder to all making this. Make sure you use clean, oil fee beaters when beating the egg whites. It's okay to have a bit of egg whites on the beater when beating yolks, but not okay to have yolk (or butter, oil, etc) on the beaters when beating the whites.
I much prefer the version where you get slices of monocolour cake. I just think it's aesthically more pure. Love your work. Thanks for sharing. Kisses from Belgium x
I am going to try and make this tomorrow. I have Celiacs and have to do gluten free and have a question. You mentioned how to substitute for the cake flour with the corn starch and all purpose and what you gave was for a cup instead of the 2/3. Do I mix the cornstarch into the gf flour and then only use 2/3 cup or do I put the 2 tbsps of cornstarch in the bottom and just fill up the rest until 2/3 cup?
i love this video. the way you describe is clear, neat and crisp. the video is also good. keep up the good work. i would like to have both cakes...one slice in each! :)
this video made me feel really nostalgic. I would watch these videos as a little kid :)
me too :)
Same broo
same!

sAME and im finally old enough to get the ingredients

This comment has warmed my heart, thank you!

I tried to make the roll cake and it just tasted like egg

Why do I always find myself watching this video over and over again? Anyone else?
Me too! There are some videos that just come up somewhere and I end up watching them over and over again😍
+Carly Howard yes i love watching and rarely make, that way i don't put on extra weight lol.
+Anni Macca OH i might add it is because i put on weight easily, cause my mother overfed me when i was younger. Its a long story so we won't go there right now thanks

So I couldn't help it. I decided to make this and WOW. Hands down one of the best cakes my gf and I have ever had. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
Thank you so much 😁😁😁😁 I made this roll on my birthday with all purpose flour (as cake flour was unavailable here) and used butter cream frosting. Beautiful!!! The soft peaks from the egg whites look like Swans!!!XD

I'm very surprised that no-one has said "taste the rainbow!" yet.
Because it's a crappy joke.
Tast it
lol
Hi eat it all
You said it
She called it 'happy' cream cheese because she drew a smile IN the cheese. The brown liquid is Vanilla. And I like where you get one color if cake. But I bet children love the rainbow. I would eat this cake no matter how you slice it. ☺
She didn't cut out a happy face in the cream cheese its sold like that
Monica Kim no dear, she draws it in.
I'm pretty sure it was sold that way, because that smiley face was like PERFECT. It was symmetrical, and it was really good
rainbow deco cake
Tried making this yesterday & love the outcome! Even though I omitted the whipped cream for the fillings as I cant find it at the nearby shop, it still taste good. Thank you for sharing the recipe!
I'd choose the cake roll where you get all of the colors of the rainbow that way it is more fun to look at instead of one color
Looks great, the one that you can get each color looks better.
I like the rainbow slice. Very cute .

Sorry for the late reply to this lovely comment!! I appreciate it very much, thank you
I like the rainbow cake cut where u can see all the colors in each slice
Can you just use whip cream instead of getting heavy whip cream and beating it?
+Taylor Moyer yes
+yoyomax12 - the diet free zone Ma'am..
I found out that you don't put a baking powder?,,for this rainbow roll cake?
I like the rainbow in each slice
and being a gay man I really think it's funny that you get the letter "G" in each slice as well...all the colours in my slice please:)
i'm loving the rainbow recipes! I think i like the rolling method on this cake where each slice has all the colors in it. :)
I like it the long way because you get all the colors it is more pretty and more colorful.
Thank you so much! This helped me so much❤
5:08 A happy face on the cream cheese!
Agree if you see it.
Hello,
I make all rainbow baking because it's so much fun. Personally I prefer the way when each slice shows all colors. Well done yoyomax12! Thank you! Greetings from Germany

I remember very well the 3 weeks I spend in UK for a language trip/exchange... I remember how colorful were the Jello desserts :-)
magaline2008 Ah yes, they are colourful! Never liked them much myself.
Wow. I particularly like how my comment wasn't at all passive aggressive, and I'm actually a subscriber of yoyomax. I like looking at the colours, just not eating them.

I used to watch all ur videos in middle school and now I’m a senior in college. Ur videos are just so comforting 💞😭😭
I like the cake that has all the colors.
Is happy cream cheese a real thing, or is she just saying that?..
No she's just saying that because if you look at the point on where she said that, you can see that she drew a happy face on the cream cheese.
Yes, it is a real thing.(;
amazing colors. but like 10,000 calories.
sooo trueeeee
Yeah lots of calories
Shhhhh.....don't mentioned calories. LOL
