Nice! Honestly, I don't think anyone would notice anything about the rear view mirror. Looks like it belongs there. It's the side mirrors that are funky! LOL.
I like what you have done with you car and thanks for making this series. I have started a build of my own and have learned a lot of good tips from watching your videos. What type of hood latches did you use? My search for them has come up empty.
I ended up making those hood latches. I used the lower section from the latches provided by FFR, and removed the handle and welded a 1/2" hex socket cap head in its place. I wanted to streamline the hood latches a bit and draw a little less attention to them. I keep a small hex wrench in my cubie to open and close the hood.
Your videos as posted have been informative and entertaining. Hopefully my kit arrives later this month. In anticipation, I was going to build a chassis dolly and thought yours looked to work well. Curious as to the dimensions (L & W) of yours. I was thinking of going 4' wide and 5' long. Thanks.
Hello, Thanks for the note. I’ll see if I can find my plans for the chassis dolly. It worked perfectly. Even with the car fully assembled, I was able to roll it around on it, which made life easy when it came to bodywork and paint.
I don't have the height in my garage that you do so I'll have to construct a body buck. 4 x 5 was my best guess from seeing how yours appeared to be situated on the dolly. Thanks for responding.
Yes, it's definitely sounds supercar-ish. I've had a few comments from bystanders that have said it's sounds European-- except at idle, where it sounds all American muscle.
@@jonfinger6482 I’m in York Maine. If you’re ever in the area and would like to stop in and see the car, I’m more than happy to meet. I know that while was building the car I would have loved to have had a finished car to look at from time to time.
I'm guessing it will be to replace the radiator.... uhg.... it's developed a small leak. I mistakenly did not properly isolate it at it's mounting points (Breeze mounts) and it's cracked. After that, I think I'm going to build a few fiberglass kayaks-- wife has been on me for some ocean kayaks for a while now.
absolutely brilliant! good job and thanks for sharing!
Well done and thanks for sharing

Ha! Yes, you’re spot on about my side mirrors!

That's a good Idea, I will have to keep that in mind.

Where in Maine are you located? I am in Rockland and just started to build a MK2 kit I acquired in July.
