    Thanks for the video, I decided to use the H4n for something quick and didn't want to deal with the latency of my DAW so I went to drag a file from computer to H4n and couldn't get it to play in the mtr mode until I saw you karoke switch step about 14:50. Saved me from "gasp" reading the manual. :)

    Great Video! Thank you very much. Is there a way to do a multitrack recording of at least two voices at the same time? So every voice gets an own track while using two microphones/headsets. For example an interview or a podcast. Thanks in advance.

      Yes You can record 2 tracks in MTR but not in all configuration. Press Input 1 , 2 and Mic buttons on the left side to see which combination is available

    Hello there, I can't find solution for a problem so asking ones who maybe know. I tried to record audio from desk mixer record out to left and right inputs on the H4N, but left channel is much louder than right, is that an issue with a recorder or I dont know something ?

    • @BBWalkerTV
      @BBWalkerTV  3 роки тому

      Have you checked the input levels on zoom h4 you press 1 or 2 and volume IP down simultaneously.

      @@BBWalkerTV it's very unusual, I tried this with two different mixers, left channel is very sensitive, so I need to set it left channel input to volume 3, while right to 84 to make it equal. But for example if I plug it to my octatrack (L & R channels) it works perfectly with 1/2 link.

    Is the filename that ends in M from the mics built in to the recorder, or the external mic connected to the recorder?

    • @BBWalkerTV
      @BBWalkerTV  4 роки тому +2

      M is for microphone built-in & I stands for input 1 and 2

    Thanks ..was very knowledgeable...I get a lot of hissing sound of the mic ..how do I get rid of it while recording..do is need to reduce the mic level while recording..pls let me know..thanks in advance

    • @BBWalkerTV
      @BBWalkerTV  4 роки тому

      Please Tell me which mic are you using an external or those built-in? The general rule is to set the level as low as possible to avoid gaining the noise however is the signal strength is too low the only solution is to move the mic closer to the source of the sound. If recording level is too high the build in compressor starts working but the noise will remain on the high levels

    can i record a yamaha digital piano that only has a headphone jack.? dosen't have a output line, but it still can be use with an amplifier or external speaker... (Yamaha p45)

      Sure you can - the lack of output is not a problem - the only difference is that your speakers will be muted if you connect do phones out.

    Hi thanks for the tutorial
    I'm wondering why you record vocals with an other micro than the two in the H4n
    Is there a big difference ? Thank again

    • @BBWalkerTV
      @BBWalkerTV  3 роки тому +1

      That is a good question - I will try to make a video with comparing build in mic which each other. I use external rode because
      1. I know its characteristics.
      2. It is better to organize - singing directly into Zoom requires special adapter and it is not very convenient to operate it in that position.
      I think those mic pair is best for interviews, journalism - when Zoom stands on a tiny tripod on a table - but it is worth to check it.
      Thanks again for the comment.
