Rise of the Plane Walker Episode 4: Into the Striderverse Pt. 2: Soggy Bottom Showdown

“Rise of the Plane Walker” is a weekly limited-run TTRPG series DM’d by comedian Ben Brainard. Ben crafted a series of homebrew subclasses harnessing Hit Die to fuel captivating abilities. With each subclass carefully designed to bring a unique twist, Ben's creations hold the potential to revolutionize the D&D experience. The players this season include Chezaidan playing Arktreon the Hunter, a Leonin Path of the Knuckle Sandwich Barbarian, KikiDoesStuff playing Elis Hawthorne, a Human Living Mechanist Artificer, QueenAstraea, playing Estel Cessaria, a Half-elf Oath of Self Sacrifice Paladin, SmolBirdLex as Poppy, a Goblin Circle of Chimera Druid, and our own Sir Feffers taking the summer off of DM duties to play Adaline, a Warforged Twin Mind Ranger. This is the second limited series Ben has DM’d with his Hit Dice Subclasses. The last series, “The Fall of Hightower” took place 10 years before the events of this season. In the 10 years since the Hightower fell, the city of Archid has established a school to study and pass on the mysteries of “Life Essence,” which makes the hit die abilities possible. Our players are students who have all arrived in Archid, either of their own volition or through cryptic circumstances. Each one has something to learn… And perhaps even more to lose.
