The useful thing on the filters tab is that you can use scale to target a particular output resolution. Otherwise it's just at whatever your project properties are set to. There's also noise reduction and other things.

I use Voukoder very often. It is the only tool if I need to render a video with surround sound, because Vegas avc for some reason only has stereo. I would also set max gop to half frame rate (like 30 for 60 fps), as this is what youtube guidelines recommend.

Thanks for introducing me to Voukoder ....now I can render out my 4K (4096x3112) and bigger ProRes film video files! As we also use FFV1 .....rendered out great. Now that I can render out FFV1, the only issue I still have with Vegas Pro is that it will no longer import FFV1 (for a few releases now)! Does anyone know a solution for importing FFV1?
A high Max GOP size will trigger a media warning in Vegas Pro 19. You need it under 2 seconds or so for further editing (30-50, not 300).
I've come across a number of your videos as I try to get 19 to behave. I bought it in the vain hopes that it would fix an issue I had on Studio 16. Thank you for all you post!
The problem I kept hitting was random garbage during rendering. It was like the rendering threads got out of order and chromo key and basic motion went haywire. None of your "Internal" settings fixed it, nor did turning the GPU on or off. So, I'm hopeful for Voukoder.
The "fix" I found was to make most of the stacked tracks children of the main. I don't know if that fixes the rendering mis-order, or is a fluke. I'll let you know if Voukoder fixes it, although I'm frankly nervous about touching that project!

How would I change the render resolution ?
You gave some hate to the MKV format. They play great on PCs, can be uploaded to UA-cam, can be played by most DVD and Blu-ray drives, and are the usual container of choice for ripped movies because of how they can store multiple audio and subtitle tracks. But yeah, for most Vegas Pro projects, MP4 is probably the better choice.
Did you do a Filesize comparison ?? what are the advantages of using this ??
Advantages are higher quality, lower file sizes, faster rendering, and WAY more codecs and wrappers to render to.
Hei ! when i 've selevted The H264 ( AMD ) , IT is not showing any preset to Apply ! How i can fix it? i am having AMD 590 GPU

I assume that when you say "the best for viewing on a computer" it also includes viewing on a TV (LED, LCD, OLED)?

I love using Voukoder, and thanks to your videos I found out about it, thanks! Just one issue. I have two settings, one uses the cpu and gpu to render and the other setting is only the cpu. If I render with just the cpu, no issues, if I render with both cpu and gpu it renders quickly and no issues, BUT when I click the render button again, Vegas Pro crashes. I guess it doesn't really like me using the gpu, any ideas how to correct this?
Glad I could help! As for your issue, That's a really tough one. Best steps you can try are:
1. Fully uninstall all previous versions of VEGAS Pro using Geek Uninstaller: geekuninstaller.com/download . Once Geek uninstalls the program, it scans the computer for any leftover files. Delete those, too.
2. Fully update your graphics card drivers. Make sure to do a clean install which deletes all past drivers of your GPU.
3. Make sure Voukoder is updated.
4. Hold Control+Shift while double-clicking the VEGAS Desktop icon, check the delete app data box, then proceed to factory reset VEGAS.

Not sure if Voukoder (or vegas pro) is seeing or utilizing my GPU for rendering.
Appreciate any advice for best rendering settings for Vegas and/or Voukoder
My Codec options in Voukoder has a selection for "H.264 (AMD AMF)" but there are no presets and the options tab doesn't show any GPU. The first two sections for Hardware and Basic are missing on mine where they show on yours at 5:35. Attempts to use this selection result in no attempt by the program to render any output file at all.

@@ScrapyardFilms one other question. I am using the trial version of VP19. I have Voukoder in VP18, but it is not in VP19, even after reinstalling it. Is it because I am using a "trial" of VP19?
No I've seen this before. You'll need to copy this folder from VEGAS 18's folder to VEGAS 19's folder.
C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 18.0\FileIO Plug-Ins\voukoderplug

@@ScrapyardFilms thanks for your comment, but it didn't work. The folder was not present in the VP19 location, so figured it should have worked. It didn't.

Hmm. Try this:
Copy "Voukoder-x64.fio2007-config" from "C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 18.0\" to "C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 19.0\"
and
"voukoderplug.dll" from "C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 18.0\FileIO Plug-Ins\voukoderplug\" to "C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 19.0\FileIO Plug-Ins\voukoderplug\".

I have been using Voukoder for Vegas 18 since I saw your video for that version of Vegas. I just installed the trial version of Vegas 19 to test it out and it seems that the Voukoder encoder will only install with one version of Vegas. Do you know how I can install Voukoder for BOTH Vegas 18 and Vegas 19 at the same time? Thanks!
Hello, I just heard from the developer of Voukoder who provided a work around. Here it is:
After Voukoder is installed for Vegas 18:
Copy the directory
C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 18.0\FileIO Plug-Ins\voukoderplug
to:
C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 19.0\FileIO Plug-Ins\voukoderplug
Copy the file
C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 18.0\Voukoder-x64.fio2007-config
to:-
C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 19.0\Voukoder-x64.fio2007-config

I have the exact same problem. I set my setting exactly as in the video and when I go to render then the rendering box pops up and immediately goes to 100% and rendered nothing. Restarted the PC and Vegas, chose a completely different project with all the same results. It renders nothing. I have an AMD Ryzen 9 5000 series processor with a GTX 3070 card. What can be the issue?
Did u manage to fix it? I rendered a video fully the first time but I can't seem to make it work anymore. Straight to 100%, even trying out other settings.
@@danxo nah i gave up it a while ago i can look at the forms and see if they changed anything
Nope mine never worked so I deleted the program and moved on. I dont have time for non working programs.

voukoder does not support rx 580 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
vegas pro 19 with 6700k + rx 580 8gb 18 min 1440p to 4k 18 minutes video taking over 2 hours to render due to rendering freezing all the time! i need to upgrade my pc but prices are still a silly expensive [i bought my rx 580 180 euro's in 2019 and now the gpu prices are silly epxensive and less performance vs price ratio]
