Thank you, just saved me a ton of time and file size on 4K videos. Cut my renders way down. When picking between the encoders there is a huge difference. NV encoder dropped size to a mere 25mb whereas the maintain encoder was at 465mb compared to the original size of 3.5gb for the first of four 3min drone clips of sunset. I use Vegas and Power Director. I find PD has more transitions and it's rendering time is amazing compared to Vegas. Until now. I changed the encoder mode to Mainconcept AVC. There was a short delay followed by a message that successfully installed. Then boom, it put up the usual screen and I could see how much faster it is now. I don't recall what I selected for RC Mode but it works.

Just upgraded from Threadripper 1920X to 2970WX and GTX1080 to RTX3070Ti as well as adding another 32gig DDR 3200 bringing it to 64gig. Problem is I have seen no improvement in render speed. Cinebench gives double the score of the old system but no real world speed gains with Vegas. 10min 4K video still takes 20-21 minutes to complete (if it does not hang. Vegas eh)(
I know its off topic but there is any way to stop vegas to get stuck at render? I have a beast PC and I can't literally render anything now for some reason
Dude, the thing u said about setting the audio to its max is wrong. U gave no explanation for so and i had problems to post it everywhere. Totally bad advice.

Hey man I can not change preset and RC mode why is that?
For me I can't change the nv encoder, it only show Mainconcept, but my dedicated gpu is enabled, but Vegas not using it

It didn't work. It went from 1.66 FPS to 0.58 FPS while rendering.
