Alex Horne, is a long underrated genius. Only since Taskmaster has he finally started getting the recognition he deserves, although many people still don't realise the whole is his baby. The No-el song is a personal favourite of mine, still makes laugh. Thanks for this, very funny. ❤
They're brilliant, Alex Horne is a national treasure, have you ever watched Taskmaster? It's long running show where he gets a bunch of celebs to do lots of silly tasks, it's hilarious and the whole show is his brainchild, he also has a YT channel with two of his best friends, fellow comedians Mark Watson and Tim Key called 'No More Jockeys' where they play a game they devised while touring together, it's absolutely awesome!
I thought I was the same but when I thought about it I realized I liked a lot of musically orientated comedians. Bill Bailey, Harry Hill, Tim Minchin, Rich Hall to name a few.
Alex Horne is one of my favourite people. I'm a massive fan of the show Taskmaster, which he devised, and there's only a few musical comedy acts that don't have me rolling my eyes after a while. Henry Phillips is great.
I know you've seen him in Black Books, but I dont think youve reacted to any musical Bill Bailey sketches. He is the master at mixing genres & making the absurd into hilarious music. Another classic is from Irish comedian Jimeoin. Its about what you keep in your kitchen drawers 😂

responding to the intro of this vid."No Brad, you are not an abused husband. You probably enjoy it, so it's more of a spanking for you". And Lucy would "touché" you in a second at wrestling and win. I love the vid's they gave me a smile so greets from the acrouss the pound😃
Aperitif for destruction. Richard Cheese. People equal sh*t. All of the songs. Brilliant. Right up your street if you'll pardon the expression. Fu*k 'em. Luv yer. Bill. ❤🤠👍🙏
Sorry if someone's recommended this before, but I'm too pissed up at the moment to read all the comments, Anyway, I really reckon you'd love "Nick Helm and Susie Dent on 8 Out of 10 Does Countdown." And his beautiful Christmas song "Hey Johnny". Oh, and "This Means War" off one of his albums is a great rock song. I'm surprised Trump never used it. it would fit right into Team America!
If you like musical comedy you might like Flight Of The Conchords or John Shuttleworth - who just does seriously d^ft songs, playing the part of a failed songwriter who thinks his songs are great. He had a big hit decades ago as JILTED JOHN which you may even know of. His best ones in my opinion are CAN'T GO BACK TO SAVOURY NOW or TWO MARGARINES ON THE GO or AUSTIN AMBASSADOR Y REG, or PIGEONS IN FLIGHT. He used to make albums full of ridiculous songs played on his cheap Yamaha keyboard on top of the freezer in his garage intertwined with equally ridiculous plot lines involving his wife Mary (played by him) and his agent, Ken Worthington (also played by him). He's not exactly dead popular or anything, a bit of an acquired taste but you two seem like you might appreciate the silliness, especially when he's playng live with all his cheesy "pretending to be a professional musician" but with a few too many facial tics and talking all sorts of nonsense about which rhythm number to pick on his Yamaha and irrelevant stories he weaves into his act as an excuse to play a song. MAY be worth a gander anyway. His real name is Graham Fellows.
Wow, even in the UA-cam comments where it is possible to find people who dislike literally anything and everything, this is still the first comment I have ever seen that was actually negative about Taskmaster.
@@BlameThande another footlights cambridge offering of banality for middle-englanders in TV land imvho but if you've got a link to a hilarious clip - you can change my mind?
holy land of good-comedy ? lol F off will ya, this channel has shored up on it plenty, hopefully plenty more to come too without scraping the likes of taskmaster out of the litter-tray. @@TheOrlandoTrustfull

Didn't know he was Welsh.
He isn't
Second this, Taskmaster is a great show, you’d enjoy it.
I typically have a really hard time getting into musical comedy but the Horne Section are one of my favourite acts of all time. So brilliant.
I thought I was the same but when I thought about it I realized I liked a lot of musically orientated comedians. Bill Bailey, Harry Hill, Tim Minchin, Rich Hall to name a few.
Alex Horne is great in everything he does especially when it comes to music.. Looking forward to this reaction 💙
I want the OF!
Jon Richardson's face at 21:03. Knowing how pedantic he can be, he 100% wanted to point out that he didn't sing L, and his moment of realisation.

It's Little Alex Horne!!!!
This is brilliant 👏🤣🤩 it's the highway maintenance vehicle 😅
That was hilarious I must have missed every episode those were in despite watching tons of Cats.
This was The Last Leg show
The zumba song and the pea song are amazing. Love it.
Haven't heard the Anees Pness song before, absolutely brilliant. Been a minute since I've laughed that much, thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it
😂😂😂😂1800 go help yourself biiiiihhh!!! Baseball bat works really well!!!😂😂🎉🎉 Thats mental. Love these guys
Thanks, I've got the pea song stuck in my head....
I haven't heard the pea song before. Its brilliant. I couldn't stop laughing.
Alex also wrote the song Greg sang (with the Horne Section) at the Royal Variety Performance. However, this is my favourite one he's done.
Going to see the Horne Section in April so looking forward to it

8/10 was ok when Sean Lock was around. Taskmaster is a bland graveyard where ch4 send UK B list TV comedians to fill obligations and contracts.
