So, what will the future bring for unsupported upgrades. I am sure there are many hundreds of folk with similar worries. I would really like to get your educated opinion realizing that MS ultimately holds the key that will make me switch to Linux.
This is great, however I'm curious if it bypasses the SSE 4.2/ POPCNT requirement on older CPU's that forces older hardware to bootloop on initial restart into 24H2. I haven't seen anything that covers that issue. I know that the old registry changes and the RUFUS method will not work if your CPU does not have SSE 4.2. My current CPU only supports SSE 4.0, identified through CPU-Z or HWiNFO, and no matter what I've tried the results are all the same, gets through the loading process, on 24H2 desktop startup, restarts again, and reverts back to 23H2 current build.
@@Luna-oz9gr It will not, however I have a theory in mind to try and emulate SSE 4.2 with Intel SDE during the boot process that may bypass these requirements, I have not tested this as of yet and am currently still researching this but I will be trying this soon.

Isn't it stupid that no techy person has developed another OS to compete with Windows.... ???!!!!! Linux is quite a learning curve and drivers and many programs don't work with it....
The update has nothing to see with unsupported HW it's just the installation that is impossible ,when the OS is installed, you update the system which has nothing to see with the type of processor running you mother board except if Microsoft has made a special trick to bother en users .
On unsupported hardware you'll get security & usual updates but you won't get major feature updates. I'm running 23h2 on unsupported hardware. I get monthly updates just fine but I haven't (and won't) get the update for 24h2. If I want 24h2, I'll have to use one of the many workarounds & install from ISO myself.
I'm sure I have a compatible CPU but I have to clue if I have the TPM thing or not. Even if I did want to install Windows 11, I would never install the official version, I would find one where all the bullshit has been stripped out.
Well, I did use this method and now I have Windows 11 running on this old trusty computer. I ran into a couple of snags along the way. It seems that trying to run this software and having the Windows 11 iso file on a different drive than the one on which the Windows 10 is installed, fails. Well, at least it failed on mine, I can't vouch for other systems. Your mileage may vary. I had to make several attempts before it finally opened up the black window and properly notified me that it was ready to install the Windows server(feature of the bypass). So, now I am ready to continue unto 2025 and beyond, assuming that Microsoft won't try to strongarm us into buying compatible hardware at some point in the future. You never know what evil lurks in the minds of corporate bigshots.
Is it possible to install 23H2 instead? It seems a bit early to fall into a just released version which will certainly have loads of initial problems. 23H2 should be the choice, so is it possible? Anyone? From win10 to 11 23H2...

There are new hoops everyone has to jump through to install it because of changes Microsoft is making to prevent it. Why bother if windows 10 is still supported? Everyone should save themselves a lot of potential trouble and headache with these work arounds and just avoid it all together. Windows 11 isn’t worth it. It would send a big message to MS if user numbers significantly dropped. Personally I’m going to start testing Linux Mint on a second pc I have and when the time comes for end of support of 10. If I’m happy with it. I’ll say adieu to Microsoft.
what about using windows 10 LTSC which it will give you security updates until 2030
You can use that
you could also go for W11 LTSC now when it's released :))
What is LTSC, please?

Will this method not require a new licence key from Microsoft?
No
Can you update the windows in settings?

People can do a forced install Windows 11 but it's not recommended.
Installing windows 11 on unsupported hardware is not recommended
same like not recommended ugrade or intall shit windows 11 :)
All I get is Failed to get mounted drive letter.......Update, it now gets to windows pc doesn't currently meet Windows 11 requirements.
I never had a windows pc i’m always a Macbook or iMac user but i did installed windows 11 23H2 in a 2019 macbook air and I’m fine with that… Thanks to Britec’s first windows 11 tutorial….😊
thats Fantastic! wow! thank you :)
You're very welcome!
Hey does it bypasses sse4.2 or popcnt features
no
but...why? if my hardware isnt supported it propably means tht it sucks, forcing this upgrade will jst make ur pc slower no?
NTLite isn't very effective for thorough and deep removal of components.
Please help me with this windows 11 installation
Can you do this in an ancient Intel 🖥 PC mfg before 2009...?
Why would you?
People are uninstalling win 11 24H2 in droves.
Don't waste Your Time on That old PCs . Just buy Cheap 8th or 9th gen used PC and Install Windows 11 on it with Drivers and offical support .
I tried this on my Dell latitude e6400 atg. Made in 2010. Didn't work due to lack of sse 4.2 support
How can I be sure that it isn't installing anything naughty (malware/keylogging/etc) on my PC?
Using unsupported hardware is also a good way to stay on windows 11 23H2, you only get security updates on unsupported hardware.
I agree, just use a 23h2 ISO.
Isn't it stupid that no techy person has developed another OS to compete with Windows.... ???!!!!! Linux is quite a learning curve and drivers and many programs don't work with it....
What about updates on unsupported HW ?
This is unsupported hardware?
The update has nothing to see with unsupported HW it's just the installation that is impossible ,when the OS is installed, you update the system which has nothing to see with the type of processor running you mother board except if Microsoft has made a special trick to bother en users .
On unsupported hardware you'll get security & usual updates but you won't get major feature updates. I'm running 23h2 on unsupported hardware. I get monthly updates just fine but I haven't (and won't) get the update for 24h2. If I want 24h2, I'll have to use one of the many workarounds & install from ISO myself.

Your king thanks
Happy to help
I use rufus 4.6.
You never know what evil lurks in the minds of corporate bigshots.
it is redicous that Microsoft choose to make things difficult by making these arbratry cutoff on the requirements.
Is it possible to install 23H2 instead?
It seems a bit early to fall into a just released version which will certainly have loads of initial problems.
23H2 should be the choice, so is it possible?
Anyone? From win10 to 11 23H2...
Please can I ask after running this does it keep all my folders I made in the upgrade ? will my browser work or do I need to re install it ? please please can you reply back m8.
tried it but for me it did not work :( my pc must be a dinosaur, thank you for your time and uploaded video .

why it ake too much time installing windows 11?
It doesn't mean their PC that has Windows 10 is going to be landfill in Oct 2025. I really wish people like this would either learn about hardware so stop doing these videos and scaring everyone. Your not doing the community any favors! What a hack.
I think Microsoft will prevent updates and upgrades to Windows 11 after Windows 10 ends.

As we have always known, this just proves that Microsoft's arbitrary W11 requirements are a bit of a scam to get people to buy a new PC. Most reasonable W10 PCs are totally capable machines and do not deserve to be consigned as e-waste. Putting W11 on unsupported hardware, though, I reckon it is even more important to keep regular backups of data.
