Unbelievable !! - Update was telling me that my older Windows 10 laptop (Toshiba satellite NB10-A) couldn't be upgraded to Windows 11 for all the usual reasons - no TPM 2.0 support and the 4th generation Celeron N2830 was not on their list of approved processors. It met the other minimum requirements of RAM and HDD space and 2-core processor speed. So I went out and bought myself a new 13th Gen core i7 with 32 GB RAM with W11 installed. After seeing this video I thought why not try it? And guess what? Worked like a charm, first time. Straight to 24H2 and it's working better than before. A big thank you to this youtube clip. This process worked on my 16 year old HP pavilion laptop. 🎉😊 It lives again. I don't intend to push my machine too much, just in case. No tpm and unsupported processor. Just ensure you use the correct English iso files. Check your language in Windows setting prior to determining US or international.
Brilliant. The quick server method seems to have worked fine to upgrade my unsupported i7 processor laptop from 22H2 to 24H2 version of Windows 11. Great advice/video which I ran at 0.75 speed on my phone whilst updating my laptop. 😊

Thank you so much as there was an end of life for 22H2 and it would not update any longer. Up and running on 24H2 now--easy peasy as you said.
This worked flawlessly on my upsupported PC with WIN 11 23H2. It's unsupported simply because it has a 6th generation i7-6900K cpu. My primary PC, which I use for programming development, is fully supported but the update has not yet been pushed to me. Seems ironic that my unsupported PC is now more up-to-date than my supported PC.

Windows 11 24H2 relies on the SSE4.2 (Intel) and SSE4a (AMD) instruction sets on a CPU as a bare-minimum requirement, otherwise it will not install no matter what you do. The 24H2 update runs exceptionally well on my X58 Xeon systems, definitely outperforming the 23H2 on unsupported hardware. I'm experiencing significant FPS improvements in games like Fortnite, Halo Infinite, Doom Eternal, and Forza Horizon 5, even with an RTX 2070 Super and fairly high graphics settings, and I'm also utilizing core isolation.
I had some of those Apevia cases back in the day. I kinda loved them! Easy to work in and there were some very cute models. Also, the one time I contacted their tech support they guy was very helpful and hilarious. Yes, being engaging is a plus to me.
The 1st PC I ever built had a FX-6300 and a GX 630 GPU (Maybe dating myself 🤣). My current PC is capable of upgrading to Windows 11, us old folks get stuck in our ways and I don't want to. I know I will have to eventually, and probably should do it sooner than later, so I can start learning it and get comfortable with it before Windows 10 support ends.
True, just mount the 24H2 iso, start cmd, and do the setup /product server thing. No Rufus, nothing. I was installing win11 over 10 while watching this unessesary long video, just because i was bored.
Rufus 4.6 Beta has support for Windows 11 24H2. Both Clean Install and Upgrade. Also there are GPT/UEFI Computers that still are unsupported by Win 11, so if you have that of course use GPT/UEFI and NOT MBR. Might be obvious, but just to clarify.
I had to scroll down to find out if someone could answer this exact issue. I have a PC that is UEFI but not supported. X99 chip (not supported) and a TPM chip slot on the MB but no chip created for it. I was scared to go past the Rufus create step because I would be hurting myself by going the MBR route with my large cap hard drives. Can’t thank you enough for confirming.
"If I understood correctly, GPT can do it after all?? Because in the video, he emphasizes that without MBR, the installation will not proceed. Correct me if I misunderstood."
I followed your instructions and my unsupported Dell Inspiron loaded Windows 11 24H2 with no problems. However, my Wifi stopped working. I had to update my Wifi driver. I went to the Dell website and downloaded the latest driver to a usb drive. Once the driver was installed on the Dell Inspiron, the Wifi worked as it did on Windows 10.
Thanks so much! It worked perfectly on a Dell OptiPlex 7010 MT with a 3rd gen i7. The only thing I did different is use the GPT Partition scheme in Rufus 4.6 BETA because the system I was updating was using UEFI BIOS.
Great video, very clearly presented, well explained and very helpful, thanks! I just wish I had found this channel before investing in a new build. The simple method worked on my old desktop, which has an unsupported chip and inactivated tpm 1, the results, it seems snappier on Windows 11 than on Windows 10. All that money wasted on a new build! However, I did enjoy building it. I also tried it on my laptop with an unsupported chip, again works a treat. As an experiment I tried it on my very old laptop circa 2012 and again works great. Just as a warning for other people if you select the wrong language when downloading the ISO (International English or US English in my case) you won’t get the option to keep your files etc. For some reason my desktop was on International and one of my laptops on US. Thanks again.
you should have mentionen that 24H2 has stricter CPU requirements.. older CPUs without POPCNT and SSE4.2 will not work anymore and that cannot be circumvented.
Well it may not be circumvented but there is a resolution. Stop playing game that always cheats you leave windows and switch to Linux, but do it wisely using baby steps

@17:57 - I used this step to upgrade an Azure VM from Windows 11 21H2 Ent MU to Windows 11 24H2 Ent MU using the original 24H2 ISO file from Microsoft, most of the VM I had access to was v3 & v4 and none of them could pass the vCPU test @5:25 to pass the TPM 2.0 test, I had to enable confidential compute on the VM.
Slightly off topic, win 10 installed active copilot AI? I rebooted in safemode, opened reĝedit, and deleted everything containing the name copilot. A dozen files would not delete. What AI services can I turn off?
Just finished upgrading an old HP laptop to Win 11. I took the 24H2 iso, ran it through Rufus, and it worked without going through the modification of the 23H2 iso. A couple of steps less with the same result. Only thing I'd add is that there is a disclaimer from Microsoft that pops up, reminding you that the hardware is unsupported. and Microsoft declaring absolutely under no circumstances do they have any liability. Once you click that you accept this, the rest is easy.
Great video, as usual. Thank you. You stopped very abruptly on the first method. You said, "Now we should be able to use this drive to install Windows 11 on unsupported hardware," then you moved immediately to the server method. How do we use this Rufus drive to install Windows 11? I'm sure it is a stupid question for a technical mind, but I'm stymied at this point. Thank you, Rich.
Instead of having to say several times during the video that You are using strangely version 23H2, You could have explained the whole process once in the beginning. Then the viewers know what You are doing and why and it all makes sense. But great video still, thanks!
Thanks for the video. Interestingly, I had to disable AdGuard to download the ISO. Microsoft's site kept telling me I was banned. "We are unable to complete your request at this time. Some users, entities and locations are banned from using this service. For this reason, leveraging anonymous or location hiding technologies when connecting to this service is not generally allowed." When I turned off the ad-blocker, I was able to download the ISO.
When downloading Windows 11 check the default language installed. My laptop was set up for English US originally but I added English GB . The options listed for the download are English US and English International. Selecting the wrong one will remove (grey out) the option to retain apps and files.
The FX-6300 isn't a triple-core CPU, it's a hexacore CPU (6 core), it's just that each pair of cores shares resources between them. I know Windows now regards it as 3c/6t, but I remember when Windows recognized it as an actual 6-core.

Rich, My PC was useless till the RUFUS mbr UPDATE CAME OUT i WAS ABLE TO UPDATE A dESKTOP AND A LAPTOP TO 24H2,Great work thanks very much
I had some of those Apevia cases back in the day. I kinda loved them! Easy to work in and there were some very cute models. Also, the one time I contacted their tech support they guy was very helpful and hilarious. Yes, being engaging is a plus to me.
Unbelievable update ❤ no bugs it's just boost my speed of my pc..love it
The 1st PC I ever built had a FX-6300 and a GX 630 GPU (Maybe dating myself 🤣). My current PC is capable of upgrading to Windows 11, us old folks get stuck in our ways and I don't want to. I know I will have to eventually, and probably should do it sooner than later, so I can start learning it and get comfortable with it before Windows 10 support ends.
i can't actually recall when we ever had a windows update that helped, i think maybe it was 95b, that was a better OS than what we have now
You're super genius, paps. This is the rarest solution ever, but it works! Thank you so much.
You're a champ mate, thanks once again!
The easy part work better. Good work dude!
Simple way: Mount the Windows 11 24H2 iso file, then continue with all command prompt commands to locate the setup.exe file.
True, just mount the 24H2 iso, start cmd, and do the setup /product server thing.
No Rufus, nothing. I was installing win11 over 10 while watching this unessesary long video, just because i was bored.
And thanks for the Code, my Virtual W11 Pro is now licensed for training videos.
Thank you very much!! all the best in New Year!
Thanks. I used the 2nd method without any issues.
@@IstiniteLazi Yes, if your system have UEFI you can do the same with GPT instead of UEFI.
Oddly I updated my unsupported computer yesterday
Cmd line worked like a charm. Thanks.
I followed your instructions and my unsupported Dell Inspiron loaded Windows 11 24H2 with no problems. However, my Wifi stopped working. I had to update my Wifi driver. I went to the Dell website and downloaded the latest driver to a usb drive. Once the driver was installed on the Dell Inspiron, the Wifi worked as it did on Windows 10.
bro your amazing at codeing your a genuine
Absolutely great instructions and information. Thank you so much!
thanks, it worked by adding some parameters to do a silent upgrade on the remote computer
Extremely knowledgeable video buddy❤❤❤😊😊😊.
Thanks so much! It worked perfectly on a Dell OptiPlex 7010 MT with a 3rd gen i7. The only thing I did different is use the GPT Partition scheme in Rufus 4.6 BETA because the system I was updating was using UEFI BIOS.
Great solution 👍❤
Thank you so much for your tech tips. This worked for me and I and especially like it because you are so enthusiastic in clear and lucid explanations.
He got his adverts in and I lost 3 hrs
Still an artificial limitation.
@@macethorns1168 you have to understand and think in the mind of a beginner PC user who doesn't know all these Advanced little tricks that you and I know about how to get around Microsoft's BS such as Microsoft trying to push a required stupid Microsoft account upon its users. So no it's not artificial it actually stops most of their end users from being able to have some level of privacy even though regardless when you boot up any computer into windows and it's connected online you have no privacy
What a great video - many thanks :-)
This was really insightful, thank you very much for this, I would have installed windows 11 very wrongly
This is supper cool.
Thanks CyberCPU Tech.
Just upgraded two MacBook Pro's (with Boot Camp) from 23H2 to 24H2 using the 'server' method. MBP Models mid 2015 and 2019. Success, and Windows Update works ok. 👍
thank you uncle for this 👍👍
I just used the latest version of Rufus for Windows 11 like I did for Windows 10 without any of these mods and it worked just fine. I installed it on my 2007 HP laptop. But thanks for the video
It will work out of the box with Rufus on a fresh install. However, it won't work on an upgrade. You have to use my method to do an upgrade. However I hear that Rufus already has a beta version that works out of the box. I haven't looked into it yet but I plan to and when I do I'll do a video on it.
How well you said and showed that even I, a fool, can install win 11, thanks for the instructions.
subscribed, thank you so much for a truly intuitive video showing how this is done - i now have my i74770k 16gb Ram and a 4060 PC a new lease of life.
Thanks for this, can confirm it still works as of today (December 2024)
10-17-24 - WORKED on my unsupported PC with WIN 11 23H2 < using the last easy option < thanks ! :)
Very helpful, thanks!
I can't even get 24H2 to download to my completely supported PC
Download the iso file buddy
@@MaruxMaruc It doesn't come as a windows update..?
@@1nONLY1HONORED for me it says i have unsupported drivers or software but doesnt say what
I didn’t know some people were still so illiterate when it comes to a computer!
@@MaruxMarucwill the ISO allow me to keep my files?
@17:57 - I used this step to upgrade an Azure VM from Windows 11 21H2 Ent MU to Windows 11 24H2 Ent MU using the original 24H2 ISO file from Microsoft,
most of the VM I had access to was v3 & v4 and none of them could pass the vCPU test @5:25
to pass the TPM 2.0 test, I had to enable confidential compute on the VM.
Slightly off topic, win 10 installed active copilot AI? I rebooted in safemode, opened reĝedit, and deleted everything containing the name copilot. A dozen files would not delete. What AI services can I turn off?
Thank you server is still working. Upgraded a Dell 3050MT with an I5 6500.
Just open the drive and double click on setup.
@18:26 - at this point you can tell the installer to skip the update check ☑
"Change how setup ..."
Amazing. True deep thanks 👍
great video! works like a charm, thanks!😃
the script I used to install Windows 11 on my unsupported hardware still worked for 24H2.
Instead of having to say several times during the video that You are using strangely version 23H2, You could have explained the whole process once in the beginning. Then the viewers know what You are doing and why and it all makes sense. But great video still, thanks!
Thanks, finally some good help 🥳🥳🥳🥳
Thanks for the video. Interestingly, I had to disable AdGuard to download the ISO. Microsoft's site kept telling me I was banned. "We are unable to complete your request at this time. Some users, entities and locations are banned from using this service. For this reason, leveraging anonymous or location hiding technologies when connecting to this service is not generally allowed." When I turned off the ad-blocker, I was able to download the ISO.
Bro you are really genius❤❤❤😊😊😊.
When downloading Windows 11 check the default language installed. My laptop was set up for English US originally but I added English GB . The options listed for the download are English US and English International. Selecting the wrong one will remove (grey out) the option to retain apps and files.
Another very informative video!
The FX-6300 isn't a triple-core CPU, it's a hexacore CPU (6 core), it's just that each pair of cores shares resources between them. I know Windows now regards it as 3c/6t, but I remember when Windows recognized it as an actual 6-core.
thank you alot , you are a life saveier
The big discussion right now is that Microsoft states that Recall is coming to Copilot plus pc's only. but when you run this find feature command in command prompt or terminal as an admin on pc's that are running 24H2 but are not copilot plus pc.s it shows recall is installed and enabeled. This is the only place in the operating system you can find Recall on the non copilot pc's. Check if RECALL is enabled:
Dism /Online /Get-Featureinfo /Featurename:Recall, Disable RECALL:
Dism /Online /Disable-Feature /Featurename:Recall
several buddies of mine in the IT have discovered Recall is installed and enabled on non Copilot PCs running Windows 11 24H2
@@rebokfleetfoot Or at least some part of it is for some reason. I think microsoft has got some explaining to do.
@@billyguthrie3176 Microsoft would rather leave code in Windows rather than create more versions and potentially confuse users.
