Thanks lads’ its great to have a British site, as our laws are somewhat different to other countries as a 66yr old with health issues the cane once trained in its use can save the day or your life even knowing a limited set of moves for the begginer’
I've started to occasionally use a cain, I did Martial Arts when I was a kid. But, had to give it up bcs Disability. I've been looking for forty odd years something I can do in back garden. This I can do. Thank you so much for these videos
Thanks for making your channel!! I am a 23 year old woman with disabilities and I always feel vulnerable! Pepper spray didnt feel like enough. I hope to feel more secure with practice. btw this nunchuck move is SO COOL. would it work better with a wrist lanyard so it doesn't fall out of the hand or would it just tangle?
Great informative video guys - just heard about this technique, it was featured in the AARP magazine June/July 2020, googled it and your video came up first. Fun to watch and I'm glad I now have this knowledge!
Great video lads’ i,m a 66yr old with a standard wooden stick issued by nhs I think! It seems a little more larger than your cane made for self defence’ I’ve fashioned it using my belt grinder to incorporate the various teeth and birds beak then soaked in linseed oil before I fired it to darken down the various striking patterns I carved out weighing in at 13 lbs. it is approx 36” in length Your self defence canes appear to be around an 25mm diameter compared to my 30mm It feels good but a bit heavy I have thought of grinding the length of the cane to reduce this weight as if a bit lighter it will be easier to use in a defensive situation and my present disabilities born in mind etc. Do you sell these defensive canes ? I am from Durham uk great site!
The loose grip of a cane spinning will only make one lose the weapon more easily. That could be devastating with someone in a wheelchair, for it is difficult to scamper for the cane to retrieve it. It is my opinion that you maintain a good grip on the tool. Now if you are in a dance recital, or synchronized dance routine, then twirling and show is more important. It has no place in self defense situation loaded with epinephrine craze. The same cane can be used to bludgeon the poor guy in the wheelchair once he gets the twirling cane knocked out of his hand.
Hi Silver, as with all systems there are moves i would never use in the street. I find that keeping it simple and using techniques I am confident in always have worked for me in the past 3 attacks on the street. But as with every system I learn all the techniques and use what works for me. Thanks for the comment
Thank you Mister Reyth, we have a lot of video about the figure of eight, some of them have show how deadly this is. Chris and myself have worked together for years and have quiet a few injuries when we misjudge distance.
Thanks for the comment Duane, this is one of our early videos. Over the years we have been able to save up and now have 3 different mic setups and also recorde most of our audio in a better accoustic setting. Please check out some of our newer releases to hear the difference.

I don’t think 🤔 you’ve worked much with weapons ……. A hard grip will ensure you pull tendons and ligaments….. but carry on
omgosh worse than scraping a nail on a chalkboard! We're all cringing out here! :D
