👍🏾 Man, I've been following you for the past 10 years easy, even longer. Do you realise how pioneering you are? Insane. Really glad you're still at it. Thank you. ☀️
Singing is a muscle! Even if you don't have a nice voice, just keep singing around the house or in the car or whatever. As long as you're singing from the check and not your sinuses you'll improve.
Great lesson sir! You have always been my idol. Lots of love to you from the bottom of my heart....I started learning guitar from you when I was 17, now I am 31. Now I run my own music institute. You are amazing sir. Love you sir.
Justin you're the best, and you can sing all of these songs like nobody else, sometimes you complain about your voice, I wish I could sing like you, I can sing resonably well but nothing compares to you, another one you nailed and that I want to learn like immediately! Thanks to you my guitar level went up up up!!!
Justin, a couple of adjustments.. (love your teaching btw).. play the Dsus2 throughout the whole song.. I hear that open high E ringing through the whole song, no G on the high string when you go to the D. Also, when it goes to a G "A simple prop..." lift the G note on the high e string up and down, then next chord (D) play it like a Dsus4 but again lift the top string up and down from 3rd fret to open (like the previous chord), then leave that G note on the light E string when playing the next chord (C) and this time lift the index finger up and down on the B string (C note then open). It's what I've always heard and used to play in a band... I think it sounds really cool (and what I THINK) they sound like they are playing. Love your lessons though, great tunes and keep them coming! Thanks for everything you do here!
Absolute genius, brother! I was in the middle of the video and I thought "man, this guy is freaking great at teaching", you do it in a very organic way. Just great. Thanks for it, brother. Greetings from the faraway land of Chile!
thanks for doing an REM song as i think the world needs more REM these days. I think a great one to do would be 'Cuyahoga" as it's super fun to play and showcases a bit of a less strummy guitar part than Peter Buck is known for. Also a great message.
So imagine this, a guy from Tasmania gives me the best lesson I've seen on an REM song. REM, a band that's from near where I grew up. Small world when it comes to great music. Great lesson man, thanks!
Nice lesson! Some day teach us "Social Distortion - Ball and Chain", Justin. It is a wonderful tune for begginers. (I - V - IV progression with simple rhythm, and a cool middle song solo).
A beautiful song and another great lesson. I agree that Michael Stipe is a great artist and a fantastic songwriter. I would love to see a leason on his song No Time For Love Like Now, a guitar version. Such a great song.
Hey, thank you so very much. I need to play this song in 12 days electric guitar only with two singers, and this video helped me immeasurably in developing my version for that. Not much to do with your acoustic version, but without you, I would have been up a certain creek with only my Les Paul for a paddle.
I remember starting out playing guitar 5 years ago and you're channel was one of the first that taught me a whole bunch of stuff. Now I started uploading my own stuff on youtube and looking back and seeing you're videos is very nostalgic. Thanks and greetings from Germany.
Hey there! As a guitar teacher, I absolutely love watching your videos for inspiration and to improve my own UA-cam teaching style. Your lesson on "The One I Love" is incredible! The way you break down the song is so helpful. Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge. Keep up the amazing work! 🎸✨
Wow man! As others have said your vocals are are just getting better and better, it's very inspirational to see you working on improving after all these great years. Also, this lesson is fantastic, great song!
Justin thank you for everything you provide, love the vocals and the REM choice i have been watching you for a long while (lol) you know how to teach cheers bud!
Great song! But isn’t there, on „occupy my time“, a bass run or chord change down from C to Am or Am7? I seem to hear more than just C happening towards the end of that phrase.
Another good one Justin. Do you listen to the Decemberists and if so do you intends to lay down any of their for us? They're like Neil Young I find - easy to de basic but lots of feel that I just can't get.

Thanks, Justin, for another great tutorial. And I SO agree with the comment below about your vocals. I watched this straight after your 2011 "Wanted, Dead of Alive," video and the difference is astounding. You really inspire to believe that, one day, I may be a half decent guitarist AND a pretty good singer. Thank you again!
Good evening. As always, great work Justin!! However I am confused, I downloaded the App but this song "The One I Love by R.E.M." is not listed on the App. I've searched both my song "The One I Love" and also by "R.E.M." but it is not there.

Man your vocal game is rising off the charts since I started following you 8 years ago or so..
My thoughts exactly!
Dude can sing some pretty tough songs!
reverb.
Yeah, for real! No more "That's a little hard for me..."
I thought the exact same thing, crazy

I tried the riff first, just to see if I could do it! Turns out I can!! Tks so much!!
That strumming and picking looks like magic.

well done for pointing out that while playing guitar you don't stop if you make a mistake! Always telling people to carry on and not stop
