And the "rescue". The rope should have been tight around her neck. There was no need to untie the hang rope. Just loosen it and slide it over her head. The whole scene was a farce.
13:00 ish one of those script flaws that drive me nuts. Dalgliesh tells Wilfred and the other guy he needs to talk to them. They get to the office and Wilfred tells them about the vote and Dalgliesh just leaves and never talks to them.
Unfortunately, this series disappointed me to a distress. Bad quality pictures ( blured) as well as sound( indistinct and as for a main character, in some spots unrecognisable) In one place, near to the end, the sound disappears completely.
That happens whenever the owner of the copyrighted music makes a claim against the vid -- the section with the music in question gets muted. It's better than having the entire vid taken down. (In future, when you have such questions, check the comments -- this was addressed above, a few months ago. I'm not criticizing you; rather, I'm explaining that you can find answer if you look for them.)

I like watching these movies because of the personalities actor and stories within a story. But the whole idea of these detectives always having so many deaths in a small group of people is disturbing. I sure wouldn’t stay sleep or eat anything around these characters. I find the detectives just sorta go on life as usual. A bit ridiculous if u think about it. Does every story have to have so many disturbing people.
Right, I noticed that. Maybe this particular role required her to show an expressionless face. She was supposed to have a devil may care and free spirit attitude (as described by Wilfred during one of their conversations) on the surface, but a lot emotion deep down. I've only seen her in Upstairs, Downstairs (an old version on UA-cam), Agatha Christie's The Pale Horse and in Quartet (2012); but I read her about her acting career and it's very impressive. She has earned many awards, praise and recognition for her performances. You might already know all that I mentioned above. I just think it is very interesting. And now that I think about it, she expresses a lot with her eyes.
Botox was approved for cosmetic use in 2002, although its existence as a bacterium was recognized in 1895 or thereabouts - easily confirmed facts if one chooses to discover them.

It's really too bad that all the charactors I like get killed off, and all the ones I can't stand won't die.

Thanks for letting us know. Thought my pc was acting up. Much appreciated.
the deaths mount up, despite the presence of a Scotland Yard detective. No-one seems too bothered though.

I wouldn't trust that Wilfred person as far as I could throw him. The rest all seem slightly nuts but he's conniving and a total hypocrite
They should have plunged the adrenaline into her heart. Anyway, that's what is done during a code.
Welp! Carry on… back to the vote, Maggie would have wanted us to! This episode is going to get down to 2 survivors… Dalgliesh and the Murder!

This was 1985 . By then we knew better than be be around second hand smoke and that it could mess with any evidence.

What happened to Episode 4 - I can’t find it…
Episode 4 was blocked by ITV plc over copyright issues. It's not the first drama that I've listened to where this was the case.

I reckon it was Art Malik wot did it. Don't know why, he just seems insufficiently suspicious.

@@MrLyndarenaud Because in murder mysteries it is the insufficiently suspicious character wot does it.
Pauline Collins (who played Maggie) is so incredibly devoid of facial expression that her whole head appears to be thoroughly botoxed.

Padantic politically correct crap. This one is a total f*cking dramatic mess. Marsdon should have called in sick.
Although the term "politically correct" was coined a few decades earlier, it became widely used right about the time this aired.
