What a brilliant performance by Ruth Cracknell! She blends comedy and pathos perfectly, and she makes the character come to life and feel completely real. Sad, funny, touching - a real masterclass of a performance. :)

they remind me of my husband and his mother and also I loved the caravan episode - she could always have had a carer even in the 80s and had someone come around and look after her while he went to Canberra lol
