If a pedal goes out of its way to impress and inspire me like the CGC Météore has today, I make no apologies for pushing everything else aside for a few hours so I can share the love. This is one cool pedal, folks. I won't harp on about it here because you can read about all of the details on the Caroline Guitar Company's website (link above). Just have a listen to the first few minutes of this video and hopefully you'll get what this pedal is all about. Philippe Herndon, once again you have done it again.
Today's tools:
Guitar: Fender USA Johnny Marr Jag (stock).
Amp: Carl Martin Custom 50 Combo (V30's).
Extra effects: None
Cables: Providence and Goodwood Audio
Power Supply: Voodoo Lab MONDO
Mic: Shure SM57 (amp) Samson Airline77 (me)
Camera: Canon 60D (me) and Sony HDR CX190 (pedal)

Apart from all the fabulous reviews in and of themselves, a real treat for me is watching your face run the gamut of feeling when it appears, as it does here, that you're really digging the sound! Thanks for all your work! Much respect!
That intro was mesmerizing
Harrison Hein just listen to shoegaze...😐
your demos are fantastic. simple explanations and examples, no showing off. thank you.
Thanks, Ben. I appreciate the kind words. Cheers.
Great sounding pedal!!! The song at the beginning was fantastic!!!
This is literally everything I ever wanted in a reverb!
Beautiful playing and excellent amp/guitar choices. You made me buy another pedal, damn you! As always, excellent demo. Thanks.
Awesome pedal, killer looks, super sound, amazing company. Caroline FTW!
There's an album's worth of ideas in this demo.
Inspiration machine.
Thanks!
Wow, I never stopped to consider that! I do respect your opinion and appreciate reaching back to answer.
Gorgeous sounds.
Wow! Very nice! Sounds great!
G-day neighbor! Very nice sounding pedal! I hope you have a pleasant week. Don.
Interesting pedal......I must say though I've just taken possession of my very own liquid ambience from flux, what a load of fun I'm having with this one. So it seems that the concept of exploration of oscillation has become very appealing in a variety of effects now. Nice demo Brett yet I'd been convinced on an earlier offering which is grand. Not to lessen this pedals qualities however as it has a niche set out already on many boards. Top of the day to you my friend! cheers
Always a Pleasure Brett !
Love it! So much character
Brett, what is that amazing riff you played at 4:51? Because if that isn't a song already, you definitely need to write it, along with the intro part!
That was an excellent review! :)
when it goes into "light mode" is combing in extra harmonics to achieve a brighter tone? that's what it sounds like to me.
this or the solidgoldfx counter current? i need a really versatile reverb that can do anything from lo fi to pop rock so if any one has any recommendations please tell me
Cool shirt. Great demo.
Freaking cool stuff
Which one did you prefer more? This or the Flux Liquid Ambience?
Everytime you say "spaaakle" I drink a shot Jägermeister. 3rd Video, I'm already halfdead drunk!!! Greetz from Austria! (No Kangoroos)
My reverb needs more "spaaakle"!!! :D
Marr!!! Brett, you are a brother from another mother.
For a while, it sounded like there was a slapback delay. Then it went back. Did that come from the Meteore?
What were you playing in the beginning? It was beautiful!
+caplippi Thanks, I made it up. I call it "Meteor", after the pedal that inspired it.
Can we write this song together? Seriously.
Sounds quite a lot like Green Carnation's "The Burden is mine" :

one of my favourite GC songs
HI Brett, always a pleasure catching up with your superior videos, helped me and undoubtedly 100s figure things out before wasting hard earned money. question is, would you prefer thus Meteore over a context, in a one pedal must do all context? forgive the unintentional pun.
+Praetor1320 Hey there. Thanks for the kind words. The painful part of my job is that more often than not I have to sell the product I've demoed to recover the time and money it took to make the demo. Sometimes that's easy, other times it's hard. On this occasion it was very hard as I regard the Météore as something special - something that inspired me to create a whole new tune. It's a wonderful pedal and I shall miss it dearly. But to answer your question (I think!) I would say that this pedal is worth owning for its uniqueness regardless of what else you may already own or what is available on the market.
How long do you get per 9V? 🙏🏼
Great playing! Great pedal!
But man they've gotta lower the price somehow I dunno.
PT2399 based with a momentary infinite toggle I'm guessing, sounds good. such a powerful chip
This or the Reverberation Machine... Decisions...
nice demo, but it´s a pity that the most interesting feature and deal breaker (for me at last) is under explored (that "drive" knob)... great pedal anyway. best wishes
+DarkMetalJazzPunk Here you go. ua-cam.com/video/MKLOn4CBe1k/v-deo.html
+Brett Kingman yeah! now I'm sold...congrats!
