i copped one of these and my problem is that there seems to be a distinguishable difference between the dry signal and when the reverb comes in, like an amount of predelay that i can't toggle no matter which knob I hit. it's kind of ruining the pedal for me -- any way around this or is that justh ow it works, being a spring verb?
You said you "like a lot of reverb" and I am the same way. Would this pedal be able to do some of that cool washy sounds? Not necessarily a huge reverb sound, but big enough for some borderline ambient stuff ?
Yeah it's dirtier than a standard reverb... you can definitely get washy with it but it will always have the personality in there as well. I wouldn't say it's "beautiful" or "pretty"

Yeah I think that's just sort of the vibe of this particular reverb! It's definitely not for everyone - major character to it. Good luck!

That's what I tend to use it for. More Of Monsters and Men sounding stuff than straight up ambient though.

Hell yeah it is! Every time I engage this pedal I either fiddle with "All We Ask" or "Fine For Now" off Veckatimest. Sounds perfect!
