110% agree with this review, ive had just under 2 months with this machine and its worth every penny. To clarify yep I have the same issue with the machine seems to reset itself in rest mode, but its such a minor issue compared to what this machine does for freedom. Thankyou for your reviews they are the best in-depth, unbiased reviews you are my go too everytime I'm thinking of a new machine. 😁

I’ve watched everyone of your videos and I really appreciate how honest you are bro, with that being said I’ve never seen you not have at least 3 or 4 cons with every machine so the unlimited must be solid af, I can’t decide between the unlimited and the exo, I think not seeing the colts would get on my nerves but I haven’t heard any bad thing about this machine other than that

Thank you for your detailed review brother. I just got this beauty the other day and didn't try it yet, studying. How do you work with colors? Do you have to line up a different needle cartridge for every different color, or you can safely deep the tip into water to clean it up from the used color and move in to another one like I was doing with the coil. Or water would run into the motor and that's a big no. Thank you.

Thank you so much for this review! I’ve been on the fence about getting one of these for some time now due to the “tilt voltage range”. I’ve also been told that you HAVE to autoclave the machine bc just wrapping it alone does not keep it sanitary, is this true or have you found it to be true after you’ve used it? Again, this was told to me so I’m not sure how true that is. Hope to hear from you and thanks again for you information! Great video!!!🎉

Thank you for the video :) I like my neuma but I’ve had issues with using my critical battery packs on it. If the nova 4 packs well and lines well I’d definitely be down to have a machine with the battery inside the machine.

comfortable with sol nova so i bought this i really like it i feel its easier to wrap im confident with this machine my hands recognize the feel when i use the dispossibles i picked it up and it was as if id used it before my hands feel free i reccomend it response mode in this is something i love and i tecomened going to ur nearest vape shop u can find longer lasting batteries that charge just as fast

Yes I like it a lot but look I do a ton of lettering and I’m in a walk in shop I get a lot of bold line work and dot work stuff but if you do a lot of bng get the 3.5
Hey Ivan, do you think lettering and some colour packing is manageable with the 3.5? I really don’t know which one to get, I do a lot of everything from lettering, colouring to shade work
Can't believe how snug clipcords fit. I doubt any custom made machine cover would fit as well as that. Great tip

The feeling of true freedom is just amazing, and there is something about the responsive mode with the 3.5 stroke that just works fantastically well. Now, let's just see how many ruin this machine by using a type of cartridge that does not have a safety membrane :P

Still loving it or what? I got the 4.0 I believe they added a memory function because mine saves the voltage even to the next day I noticed some of the 3.5s have unlimited written on the side now I think these are the newest fixed models
Unfortunately we’re still on lockdown so I’m not tattooing at the moment but yea absolutely was still loving it! Those improvements you mentioned would be huge too!
I seen you had a pretty good review for the Inkjecta flight nano. What are your comparisons on the two? I am on the fence between the two. I seen another review on the Unlimited saying you have to remove the cartridge every time you change speeds?
I really liked the Inkjecta it’s a great machine, but in terms of straightforward use, not having to fiddle around with the right combos etc and just pure ease and performance it’s really hard to beat the unlimited. As far as changing speeds I literally never change speeds while I’m working but you absolutely can change the speed with a cartridge loaded if you want, I don’t even shut it off switching between cartridges so you wouldn’t have any issues that way. At this point I really think the unlimited is the best machine on the market today so anything else is playing catch up in my mind

Both r great machines I use the flux for lining and color packing also for dark black and gray and I use the SOL Nova Unlimited for all my black and gray now, I was using the xion but I ordered the Cheyenne since I’ve never owned one and after I saw this one I had to get it!
Rey Garcia damn thats what i think about doing. I have sol nova unlimited and xion without battery pack.
Now i am undecided if i should get the flux for lining and packing. Or just get the fk battery pack for my xion as i already have the 3.7mm stroke wheel. What do you think?
Sol nova for shading for sure. Bit i really need a packer and something for bigger lines and white highlights. Xion or flux?

I'm curious how this would compare with the Flite X1, I'm debating between this and another X1 for a duo machine setup.
I haven’t tried the x1 specifically but I will say I’ve never been disappointed with any injecta machine so I’d make the guess that it’s a good piece of equipment. I can say I find the cheyenne machines to be a better all around fit for my style of tattooing and I don’t ever feel the need to set up more than one machine regardless of what I’m working on so I think that’s a big advantage. It’s hard to give any opinion beyond that on a machine I haven’t had a chance to try out though. Constant lockdowns have messed with my ability to tattoo 50 hours a week lol
Lol im still tapping my foot and i havent used a foot pedal in years lol but i wish the button was bigger i get the d grips for free at work thats the best part of this machine but i like the 4.0 version

Fady Aziz hey I explained to you on my last video why I won’t be looking at the wand, I have a few more reviews coming this year but I’m not planning on anything from Inkjecta at the moment. They’re stellar machines but having used both companies machines extensively since 2008 I know that for me they wouldn’t compare to the sol nova unlimited. Thanks for watching!

I thought the strike is adjustable? Or just Needle depth is adjustable to 4.0mm?
I read from other reviews that this machine 3.5mm stroke has smooth shAding but not with line work?
The stroke is not adjustable just like every other Cheyenne machine just the needle throw and it definitely lines well for me but everyone tattoos differently so some may have issues lining with it.
Are those batteries custom or can you use any
If you were to compare this machine to any of the other Cheyenne machines you have reviewed(wired), which would you say it compares closest to?
It’s exactly the same as the corded sol Nova and the function is identical to the sol Terra

Where do you buy that particular clip cord sleeve from or what size is it?
D EL it’s a standard clip cord sleeve available from any supplier, the one I’m using specifically is from eikon.
What machine covers you using mate? I got my Sol Nova Unlimited today? Not sure what covers to purchase
I just cut down a regular clip cord sleeve, works perfectly and you get 3 wraps out of one sleeve

I just switched it on now and pretty much worked it out instantly. I was put off by the look of how it was motion controlled on videos I watched but actually physically doing it isn't an issue in the slightest. Great review. Thanks man

hello, I have the sol nova unlimited but i find that this Pen has difficulties for the linning. Do you share my opinion ?? which Pen (wireless) do you recommend for linning?
Hey so I don’t have any issues lining with the sol Nova but the machine I’m working on a review for the Neuma 4 I think is the best rotary liner I’ve ever used, if you’ve had trouble getting a feel for lining with a rotary the Neuma is going to be a really good option for you, the feel is similar to a coil but it’s smoother and more consistent.
I use the sol nova for lining with up to an 18 round shader And have no problem. I find that the bigger difference comes from the actual cartridge that I am using right now I am using the kwandron and they seem to line with the most ease. I run the machine at 10 volts if you wanna see closeups of my line work my IG is @Jase_Alva
Does anyone know what the weight is on this machine with the battery in it. I'm wondering if it weighs a little more than the original Sol Nova?
It’s just slightly heavier and a little longer the battery is quite light, you really don’t notice the difference especially because you’re not dealing with a cord
How high of the speed u guys do lining.? Just trying to compare with the regular Sol nova

Lou Huỳnh no problem man, it’s easy to get the machine right in the range you’re used to.
Well you dont have to go by sound. Cheyenne gives you a chart with the machine telling you exactly what angle equals what speed. It took ma just a few days to get used to the right angle for my speeds. I dont have to listen anymore. Thats just me tho.
Edit: my only problem ist the freakin led on the button shutting of after a few sec so i have to search that button under my dark clipcord sleeve all the time. THAT sucks 😅
Adam Adam you still need to listen to your machine dude, that’s a no brainer.
That is easy to solve, don’t use a dark clipcord 🤷🏻♂️
Is the noise just as loud as the original sol nova?
I wouldn’t call the sol Nova loud out of the box but it’s the exact same sound and motor

EdSanders Tattoo TV thanks, you basically just hit the button to pause but it will go to sleep after a few minutes and you’ll have to reset your speed

Hey I have the same problem that everytime the machine goes to sleep I have to reset my settings , which was not the case before. Could u fix the issue?
I also have the same issue. After it goes to sleeps and I restart it doesn't save the last voltage setting and I have to reset it again. It just started doing this. I've only had mine for a couple of months. Did you ever find a fix to that issue?

Adam Kopacz absolutely, it’s always hand speed dependent but for me anything from Cheyenne or Inkjecta will basically never quit or slow no matter how big the liner
I wish the voltage could be changed with buttons.
It might seem more convenient but realistically the way it functions on the tilt actually gives you way more adjustability then if you had 5 presets or whatever. It’s just a pain if you’re constantly changing speed while working and for me that’s not an issue
would you recommend this machine for a beginner whos trying to take tattooing seriously? I've been practicing for a few months now on fake skin with a coil machine that was given to me by a cousin but I kind of want a pen style machine. I wouldn't mind spending money on this since there's alot of good reviews on it.
Edwin Cruz the only thing I ever recommend for a beginner is a proper apprenticeship, sorry.

bobber yep, I’m using this and putting hours on the neuma 4 preparing for a review. Once you use this machine I’ve found it’s hard to use anything else and the artists around me that have used it seem to feel the same

Vadim Smirnoff hey, ok so the sol nova unlimited is basically the sol Terra reconfigured into a battery powered pen, it feels almost identical but with better weight distribution, and both are identical to the sol nova with the exception of the Terra, Luna and unlimited all having reactive mode. The Luna is the same as the others just with a shorter stroke. So basically if you can shade well with the stroke on the sol Terra and the sol nova you’ll have success with the unlimited, I was never a fan of the short stroke of the Luna I don’t particularly like strokes shorter than 3mm and don’t need them for smooth shading but if you’re after the same feel as all the other machines mentioned just with a short stroke the Luna is the right choice. I don’t really have a recommendation because it’s so personal but I hope that helps

@@anthonyjenkins3335 I bought both.unlimited and luna.and I've got a terra.time to get rid of all my other machines.but to be honest this unlimited a bit weird .with all that tilting to change speed. Need time to get used to it

To bad mine died one month after the 12 mo warranty. The repair cost is $500 for an $1100 machine. Everyone i know that ones a cheyenne has had them serviced. What does that say about a company whose machines don’t last as long as there cheap competitors that costs a fraction.
Funny how that only seems to happen when people cheap out on carts and use non membrane, cheyenne has a moisture indicator in their machines, if it pops they charge you. I’ve serviced 4 times over the years once on a machine that was 4 years old, total cost of service $50 usd. Know why? Cause I don’t use shitty cartridges and then pretend there was something wrong with the machine. Gtfo
Can’t throw anything in the garbage it’s all a gimmick
