I admire your work bro, you are one of the few who review machines with complete honesty. I bought a pen and you told the hard truth about it that I didn't want to hear at that time. I’m curious to which machines are in your daily rotation now? I saw that you mentioned the Solterra below.
Personally I have the SolTerra, Solnova, solnova unlimited, xion and fk edge X. But the machine I keeep coming back to personally is the standard Solnova, it’s something about the size and stroke that’s just solid but it broke yesterday after 2 years of heavy use -.-
But how about you? Have you put the unlimited away? I think you said you really enjoyed it when you reviewed it.

The trouble with all these battery machine is the batteries are way to expensive,except the Cheyenne obviously, awesome work too
Are you still using the Neuma4? I love mine so much more than any other pen I've ever used. It's my only premium high-end machine though. This is why I watch your review videos to see if another purchase is in my future. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the stigma.
Hey thanks for watching! it doesn’t make it into my rotation often these days, for the type of work I do there are machines that are better suited like the Force or Sol Terra but linework and whipshading it does have an advantage for sure. If it’s working for you that’s awesome! But be aware that the feel of more conventional stroke rotaries may feel quite different at first, it might take 5 or 10 tattoos before it starts to feel right so if you’re able to mess around on A Pound of Flesh skin or something like that you’d be doing your self a favour. Both machine styles have a place for sure so I think it’s worth being comfortable with both.
@@anthonyjenkins3335 I'm only working on reelskin these days. I apprenticed back in 2005. In 2013 I had 2 heart attacks, a double bypass and, have 3 stents in my heart so, I stepped away from tattooing. I love it too much to stop completely but I can't sit long enough to do them all one-shot anymore. Add a bad back to the mix also. I'm disabled now. I love coils but wanted to try the pens and have several lower-end machines but I'm not a big fan. I like doing trad/ neo-trad designs so the Neuma4 is a natural fit. I only use the 20% and 40% in 4mm and 3.6mm stroke length. There's still a learning curve to a rotary for me but the fake skin doesn't seem to mind, lol. I wish I could still be in a shop but, at 54 and so messed up physically, those days are behind me. I can't stop completely though.

I sold my Force....I like the 4.0 stroke unlimited and the Neuma 4 I also use a Dan Kubin dmcv2
Update I went back to their version of this Xl I think I love it connected to their footpedal and 3.7 stroke I love it again
I bought the 3.7 version I recomened this version I had the 4.5 version that was a little too hard hitting it was a great liner but I'm glad I got this version

@@ripper9112 the force is good honestly it does everything I need it to it just hit for me was the wrong stroke I like longer stroke myself and the 4.0 unlimited was good for me the force does have a better system I feel if it would come in a 4.0 it would been perfect bit they made a 4.5 which is for me a bit too long and 3.7 was great don't get me wrong with boost mode felt great I just had already gotten used to the Unlimited

Unlimited 3.5 is great machine but i prefer force 3.7 and spektra flux. For me this is best in world now.
@@silviotattoo3725 thanks Silvio.. man, so man machines released since then 😵💫😂.. I still use the 3.5 pretty much daily, for certain parts of my work.. but I ended up trying out the Bishop range.. and I’ve gotta take my hat off to those cats.. fantastic machines..
Like you, I’ve found a set up that works, comprehensively and really well, for me.. had I opted for the flux etc, I’m sure I’d be saying the same kinda report.. we are so blessed now to have such fantastic machines available..
Strange to remember back to the days of our first machines hey, mine was a Micky Sharpz hybrid.. man, I loved that thing.. but after years of coils, my hands were suffering.. so great now, light weight ergonomic wireless machines etc, cartridges etc.. crazy to think what it’s gonna look like in 5yrs time.. technology is moving so fast now

@@djs9315 After 3years with coil machine my arms say, i need rotary maachine. Rotary machine is god blesed. Now i hate coil machine 😂😂 Yes i love Unlimited 3.5, i use 3.5 but in responsive mode,in steady mode work strange. for exemple 8,8v and 90hrz in stady mode is slowli in reaponsive mode ia fast, i dont now why make this. I so strange cheyenne and i have only problem with unlimited, 3 tattoo machine i swap in service. Lot of people say, Flux is sheet,but my flux work perfect,8 month, 3 update softwer, work every day and no issue. I am lucky. Sorry for my english.
Got the 4,5 n 3,7 and yeah, amazing machines but the battery runs longer :d im using 3,7 at 7-8 volts range and as i see your using cheyenne carts, their membrane is pretty much battery killers bc their hard tension😀
I’m generally running higher in boost mode and I max out at 5 regardless of carts used. There is a newer version than what I’m working with that has faster charging as well as longer life so that may be making the difference for you as well!
@@anthonyjenkins3335 meh, pretty annoyed, got tho machines and they already updated them with the better batteries, pretty dissapointed with that, i hope that it only changes the battery life not the overall perfomance 🤷🏻♂️

Do you have the original firmware? Vision Knite (tattoo theory) had just told me yesterday that the new machines now have the updated firmware. Which he prefers over the original firmware. I'm a bit of a machine collector. I have both unlimited machines, a neuma4, the flux, have a Valhalla on the way and I just ordered one of these.
Hey yes so the machine I run is still original, there’s been some upgrades (or they are coming very soon) to basically everything I mentioned on my cons list, even as it stands, in the older versions of the force, it’s on another level in my opinion
@@anthonyjenkins3335 I'm fascinated with the new technology of machines like this one and the neuma 4. BT enabled machines with update-able firmware seems like a great step in a positive direction for the industry.
Hey, if ya see this what would you recommend! I’m looking for a gun that I’ll use for multiple styles, I will do lining but nothing really above 1209RL and some shading and stippling, so adjustability is nice, I’m leaning towards an Inkjecta since they have the bar that has some give which seems good for learning so I don’t churn up my own skin etc, the style I’m thinking of is called cyber tribalism tho I’ll prob do some fairly fine line art, thanks if ya reply!
@@maxhutton228 I still have and use my inkjecta flite nano to this day. Imo it's one, if not the best rotary machine ever made if you're ok changing out cams and torsion bars. It'll do anything from PMU to bold solid lines. I typically keep the 3.25mm cam and medium torsion bar on mine. That's for lining with a 7 and smaller and mostly black and gray. I'd opt for the 3.5mm cam if I was going to be doing larger lines. But that's the beauty, you can change what you want to do what you want. I sold the X1 though. Was just too odd of a design for me. The ergo grips for it are fantastic tho. The ink machines cobra is one of my current daily drivers. Very versatile machine.

I sadly just missed an ebay auction i was counting on and not sure i can foot 500 just for the machine right now so I might have to go with a front high end dragonhawk, thank you for you advice though! If you have any comments on the eclipse its on sale on killer ink as refurbished but they look like a ball throb to change the stroke n such, maybe ill hope a flite comes up there or second hand if not the dragon hawk, thanks!
Valhalla review incoming woohooo
I've been running back and forth between the Valhalla and this force. The vallhalla I still feel is the best liner. But I hate the Valhalla with the critical battery pack. It just feels top heavy. So I use an rca. The force with boost feels really close to the Valhalla though. I'd say pretty confidently right now the force is the best overall machine available. The Valhalla is the best liner though. The force just has unreal options. Best machine for the money has to be the Valhalla though. Also own the neuma 4, both unlimited machines, and a bishop shader. Haven't tried the other wands though if people wonder.

So you think Valhalla is better than Unlimited.i guess its no brainer than for the price, i can buy wireless battery and have great wireless machine for relatively cheap, iv seen review when Valhalla had motor problems so i guess quality is not top notch. What would you recommend as all-raunder rigt now as first machine, the cheaper the better, best cost effective i guess? Are you familiar with HeroPen maybe?
@@1Dantrn I wish axys would make an all in one machine, I run the Valhalla daily with a lightning bolt and it's a pain in the ass but I love the way the machine runs, only downside is the carts coming loose
@@scottdafoe8336 I absolutely love the Valhalla. Especially for lining. And ya I use kwadron liners and they are loose in it. If you bag over the grip and poke a hole to insert the cartridges that extra plastic helps keep the cartridges in place. Mast has an air bot battery I think it was called. Nice small profile and light so it doesn't feel so long with a battery on it. It's just too long with their battery or a critical battery.
