I have a bone disease, and this week I lost my last six teeth. I've been having a really tough time coming to terms with it. As a singer, as a person, it has affected me. And I needed this today. I really needed this. Thank you.

I have lost all my teeth on three right side so far. And some on the left. I have lots if issues with them due to an autoimmune disease and bone loss. I'm so afraid of losing the rest. I can't do false teeth. A retainer or mouth guard makes me gag. I'm terrified of having no teeth.
@@marion8354 There are so many advancements with dentistry. Dentures can be made quite small for the roof of the mouth so they will never touch the back of your mouth. There are places that can do implants and you can make payments on them. When people usually gag it's due to the adhesive they use to keep the denture in place but now they have tape so you don't notice anything. My husband is an oral surgeon in cosmetic dentistry, it's amazing what they have now. Good luck and don't be stressed!

As a musician, I think you're a champion, the first time I saw how you play the spoons, I was captivated and said to myself, wow, this woman is a champion, playing the spoons at such a high level is above and beyond what I can think such a thing exists. @@appliedmechanical8790 I spent $85,000 I paid out of pocket four beautiful implants...then the bottom inpplant on two front teeth got infected....another $20 k spent and I'm still looking like a toothless hill Billy...but hey...who cares these days...am happy to wear a.mask!
Bob, I think you're going to be really happy that's the route you chose. I'm 50 and had all my uppers pulled about 4 years ago and have a plain old fashioned upper plate. Be sure to keep up with having it relined to fit you properly, and for in between check into a product called denture fit. Nothing in it for me to mention them, just really useful. I don't even do that anymore after my final reline...and I can bite into an apple. I don't think I've met anyone yet that didn't have a hard time with implants. I don't even think about my dentures now, except to take them out at night. They're just my teeth and don't slow me down one bit. It's also nice to smile without being embarrassed. It's an adjustment, but it's also one of the best things I did for myself and would do it again in a heartbeat.

This was the sweetest and most transparent share I can ever recall witnessing. I actually got teary eyed because you're beautiful and your soul shines way brighter than any teeth I've ever seen. I'm in my early 50's and I used to always get complimented on my smile and perfect teeth. It's hard to be older now and nobody warned me that your teeth are eventually going to get pulled... one after another. Thankfully, I'm coming up on only half of the 12 norm for my age but sadly... I don't smile like I used to. I'm getting tooth decay in the front now and I brush every day. The thing is... so many who have the money and insurance to just fix 'em up or replace 'em... they're not usually going to tell you about it. And partly because they think they're alone with the problem as well. NO ONE talks about it. Admittedly... I miss my old smile but I'm thankful to still have many reasons to smile and you've been one of those reasons. From spoons to wisdom bombs... you are a stellar human and I send you so much love!! 💖

@@kristan40ish we go barefoot as much as we can... lol. We own basically the dead end of the 3 streets of our neighborhood, 3 acres and it’s a better neighborhood of the town. We moved here about 9 years ago, my husband is from Oklahoma, a past Marine and a current first responder. He is a very smart man but when he’s home he’s overhauls and barefoot when he’s out working in the garden, mowing the lawn (lol) feeding the chickens, working on his cars, whatever he’s doing. My girls have always ran barefoot as well and now grown, youngest is 17. At school they have always been looked at as outsiders because of this. We live in one of the nicest neighborhoods, have a nice place, perfect yard, kids wear name brand clothes but because we chose to run barefoot on our property we pay way to much in taxes for we are outsiders!!! Our town has a population of less than a 1,000 people, our best store is Walmart and it’s 20 miles away! What makes them better than us? The bullying has gotten so bad my oldest 2 dropped out of school and my youngest I had to pull out and put in a small private school so she could get her education. My middle one decided this year as a new mom to also go to private school to get her diploma and did but my oldest is to old to go back now. Our school system really failed them all because we don’t wear shoes when we are out in OUR OWN YARD!

And as his wife you are his pillar of strength. When we stand out because we are different we cop the worlds shit. We all know nike and coca cola are poison. The bullying takes many lives as it did my son. My youngest son is now asleep next to me doesnt go to school because i wont have him bullied like my other son. God rest his soul actually No cos i love feeling him around us. So il be selfish and keep him here with me for a while longer. And you arent outsiders to nature, whom will always be a far better neighbour and friend than some of the idiots who are ruled by their own fear.. Humanity has a lot to learn. Acceptance is bittersweet.. Please be you. Please continue to be you, with your grandkids, this is your own truth to live how you please. And it sounds pretty dam good to me. WIsh you were my neighbour.
I’m only 36 but have already lost half my teeth due to lack of access to dental care. Losing teeth (or hair or any other parts) is a fact of life for many of us and in no way reflects the quality of someone’s character. Love to all! Thank you spoon lady!❤❤❤

@@lilyhempt1144 hell yeah. I actually love not having teeth. Best decision i ever made. I was in constant pain. Infections all the time. Now when mu dentures rub and hurt i take them right out. The pain is gone.

I'm with you guys, I lost mine too early too and it's traumatic, it's nice to hear from others who are there too and not feel alone. One positive for me is that I can make lots more funny faces like I can do the Rick and Morty lip drop and it's hilarious!!!!!

I was amazed by your Spoon playing. I was learning how to play the spoons when I was young. My Uncle was great at it, but I have never seen anybody play as good as you do. It brings back so much memories. Hope God keeps you blessed and rocking the spoons for a very long time.
