I've been on the fence for a long time between BenQ, Asus, and possibly HP. Even budget BenQ's always seem just a bit more than I would comfortably like to spend baring the occasional sale.

    • @rsmith02

      They are both calibrated? If they are very different monitors you may have to adjust the white by eye to match them. NEC Spectraview supports that for example.

    Hey Gerald! Fellow g502 user here; I highly recommend changing the DPI buttons to Control and Alt as you mentioned that you're not using the extra buttons on your mouse. While Alt isn't the most helpful button, I find that using the G7 button as CTRL greatly improves productivity, as being able to CTRL+C and CTRL+V without having to move your left hand from the home row and keeping your right hand on your mouse makes editing workflow extremely smooth.
    EDIT: also, having control on your right hand also makes navigating through Chrome super smooth with CTRL+T, CTRL+W, CTRL+Shift+T, and my personal favourite, CTRL+2, for example, instantly switches you to the second tab in your current Chrome window.

    If you have interference with your RGB you should look into your audio cables. You probably use TR instead of TRS cables. Small difference but big implications. Those are actually balanced 👍 another option is a ground loop, but that should partially be fixed with balanced cables as well

    • @geraldundone
      @geraldundone  3 роки тому +3

      I know the difference between TRS and TS and it has nothing to do with the cables. Watch the videos linked in the description if you want to know more about it. It has to do with ground loop, yes, and is only solved with a USB isolator.

    Hello Gerald. I have issue with the r6. Its not good idea to write about cameras in desk set-up videos comment section but wanted to hear back soon so commented in very fresh video. I am from nepal. I bought canon r6 abt 5days ago from a shop here in kathmandu city. Yesterday suddenly i noticed some dots in display while setting camera for shoot. So today went to shop and luckily got chance to change r6 with new one. I checked carefully in shop if there's issue in display as before and didn't find out and came home with new r6. But a moment earlier i just noticed same kind of dot in this too but this time it was in corner. Its too small that we cannot see that in bright area. I am so much worried about it again and googled about the issue but couldn't find out the satisfactory answer. I came to know that it may be a dot pixel dead that is common and not big issue in now days technology but not sure and m much more worried about camera. Can you please figure out what's the problem? Should i be worried or just move ahead? My only hope for this issue is you as you are too technically. Waiting for your reply soon. Thanks

    • @geraldundone

      @@geraldundone I'm referring to the two different shots in this video. It's so clear for me to compare them when you switched the two shots right after one another. I always feel that your audio is so much better, if not the best, among big name UA-camrs but not as much as this time. I know the audio gears you use a little bit from other of your videos but it's really the gears alone? or do I need to do something in post? Do I need a Zoom for audio recording? • @geraldundone

      I've still never had a 3080 in my possession. The biggest difference would be the VRAM though. You either need it or you don't based on the resolution and effects complexity in your edit. If the 3080 has enough VRAM for you, then the card is plenty.
