I’m keeping mine pretty much stock. I have probably more than 50 RCs in the hobby room and got this for a worry free fun basher. Threw in metal servo gears I already had, proline masher 2.8s (65g lighter each wheel n tire than stock), re set the pinion mesh it was binding w stock plastic piece, and put in some bright green leds on the chassis pointed up at the green body. I’m a trucker and heck don’t need to worry as much about breaking out over and it’s still quick enough to jump and wheelie. I got fast cars and slow cars already. Sometimes ya just need a Pede to bash around.
Good video. Saving it for when my son starts to want something faster. Have you had an issues with roll back in the stock BL-2S. Seems to be a lot of lag and rollback between forward and reverse on his BL-2S rustler.
There was a little lag between reverse and forward. But we replaced that system after the first week. I think the BL-2S is a great system Traxxas started. I’ll be putting it into some old RC’s
It’s night and day different, this is a BL-2s system with upgrades. Stock it goes anywhere from 25-30mph, VXL your doing near 50mph (depending on gears/batteries).
@@redbanditracing Yeah I learned it was TSM causing those wobbles the hard way. What happens is you start going fast, the gyro starts trying to correct a little. But then it starts correcting, wobbles to one side, then over corrects and just gets worse and worse. And the tire skating doesn't help.
Why mainly Traxxas cars? They aren’t the best and really overpriced. I have one left. The Maxx v2. Barely used. Getting ready to sell it. I’ll be down to two cars both Arrma. 4s Kraton v2.5 and Mojave 4s. From there I’ll be building a Tekno MT 410 v2 kit. Tekno is a far better quality kit than Traxxas. Arrma as well. The Kraton 4s handles much better than the Maxx.
@@redbanditracing Just thought you may have had a specific reason you chose Traxxas. They’ve improved but only because Arrma came along. Parts support is great but other than that it’s really not worth it. The Mojave 4s is 499. 1/8 scale 4s. The slash ultimate is 3s 1/10. Much smaller. Same price. No value really. Some bling on it yeah but the Mojave blows it away.
Funny that he aould spend money on azl system(or got it for free) cuz noone that knows anything about this hobby wouldn't pay a cent for traxxas combo. 😅😂 for the same price u got a 4s/6s combo hw 19bl12og2 4a 8bl150 6s😊 so i call this vid anb.s

Who wants to see this Stampede in the CLASH?
Must join
Can’t wait LETS GO!!
More cars the better 👍🏽
How different is this from the vxl ?

But his son plays travel baseball 24/7😳
Watch grass grow or mow the grass with those beasts!!
Gotta race
I bet all those parts are almost the cost of a new Stampede VXL. 😬
For sure! But I scored that truck used only 2 times for $200 with a brand new extra green body. Couldn’t pass it up👍🏻
Very close, but worth it
Those wobbles are probably because the TSM is turned up. TSM is really bad for speed runs. Turn it down or off and it should stop those.
TSM should always be off unless off road, I’ve noticed my Stampede does this also.

4:20 Turns out those are good the way they are, upgrading to aluminum wasn't worth it then.

They may not be the best to you, but to someone who enjoys them they are.
