My S65 AMG finally sounds like its supposed to sound! Full straight pipe but with valves so we have a loud mode and a completely quiet mode for road trips! This system has transformed the car!
The car in this video is a 2016 Mercedes Benz S65 AMG Coupe.
It has a 6.0L V12 with 621Hp and 738 lbs tq (stock)
The car has been tuned by Velos Designwerks and makes about 50hp and tq more. The S65 has a very unique exhaust note, with the new system it really enhances that sound! It is definitely a must to go cat delete on this car as it's the only way to really get to experience the true sound of this V12.

As an AMG enthusiast who has owned pretty much every single V8 engine configuration that they've produced for the last 20 years, I've always wanted to do this but never pulled the trigger on a V12. Glad someone finally straight piped one of these beasts.

as a german I´d honestly say its very rare to see 65 amg models in general but when you see them they´re rarely modified. never got to experience the true sound of the v12 like that holy shit

In my opinion a Mercedes, specially an S-Class (no matter AMG or not), should not sound like a truck but each has his own taste. Great car regardless. Drive safe ✌️

Thought I was done modding my new to me 2017 S550 coupe (M278). Guess not now. Gotta love the S-coupe, very incognito. Many didn’t know/realize what a car it is. Mercedes still has not replaced it since ending production. Very nice upgrades man!

It's awesome that you're enjoying the fruits of your labor...good for you. I will say that to me the Mercedes Benz S63/S65 AMG represents elegance, prestige, exclusivity, and refinement (suit and tie) with plenty of power on tap. Now...not so much (jeans and T-shirt), obviously it's only my view.

I feel the same way about my car (S63AMG Cab), but I respect what Mike is doing - he is doing what he likes (and his viewers) and that's cool. But mine is practically silent for a lot of my driving, until I decide to drop her in sport and let it rip. Funny thing is that the car is so used to me being super chill that the tranny has learned that and expects it. I have to go into manual and get some revs going if I want speed.

You definitely need to retune the S65 with the one and only HD Tuning who does Paganis and only guy who knows his stuff. 1xx hp increase after downpipes and a tune. 750 hp reliably

My favorite car own your channel hands down
It would be cool to see an equal length exhaust, Single midpipe, or something to equalize the Pulses.
That way, it’ll sound a bit more exotic.
Nobody does it on these twin turbo V12’s and i think Its a missed opportunity.
The reason that the S65 and Huayra Sound the way they do is because of the way the exhaust is set up.
If it was equal length all the way through, it would sound like an exotic V12 found in a Ferrari or Lamborghini.
People normally don’t do equal length on these because the turbo manifolds aren’t equal length so it will always have that unequal sound
@@Sebdoyle I guess I never mentioned it in my comment, I wanted to say that it would be cool to see a different design for equal length or a different length in general or even a custom manifold for a single turbo.
Rarely will you see anyone make a custom manifold for something like this. Would be very fitting in a Pagani
