Excellent video. The story of Pandemic in general is one of countless tragedies under EA, but it stings harder than most for me. The PS2 and Pandemic's games were a huge part of my formative gaming years.
Once again another fantastic documentary. Mercs 2 was so so good and one of my favorite sandbox games out there. I need to get my hands on it again. I'd love to collaborate some time.
I still have both copies of the games that works on my Xbox 360 but they are not recognised on my Xbox one. Anyway Played these two games more than any of the GTA games. Loved the unique vehicle's you could find steal and buy.
Amazing video- covering everything that made the first game great and the 2nd game terrible (except the music! You forgot to talk about that incredible music!). Anyway, I don't care what anyone says. For me, The Saboteur is the true Mercenaries 2. World in Flames was just a pale imitation of the first one, which was a bona fide masterpiece.
Thanks! Mercs 2's music is easily the highlight, though I wouldn't lie if I said I still enjoy Mercs 2 as a guilty pleasure. I have the Saboteur but have only played a little of it. I interviewed the writer of that game a couple years back and he shared some interesting info on that game and creating the story.
@@GamerGuysReviews Amazing- I'd love to hear the writer's thoughts on the project- especially since compared to Mercs, The Saboteur has generally more fleshed out characters and is more story focussed. It's still got that Mercenaries DNA though, with a few improvements, like on-foot disguises now, and better gunplay. Though you do lose the flying vehicles. I'd definitely say it has BY FAR the best authority figures to mess with in any sandbox game. It doesn't matter what you do to those soldiers, you never feel bad because of what they represent! Some of the best free-roam destruction this side of Just Cause 3

Very well made video, learned some new things and it was entertaining through and through! Glad I was able to contribute to this project :)
Mercenaries Playground of Destruction remains to this day my favourite game of all time. For what it is, and for what it could have become.
How hasn't this channel went viral?

Great job Will
For ages I've wanted a third Mercs game, using the Frostbite engine. It'd be a perfect match. 🙃
I love Mercenaries
Really well done video on this series. You got a sub from me.
