*that one time shifting mission in Dishonored 2 is still one of the best experiences I've ever had in gaming..I think it was called A Crack In The Slab or something like that* 👌
To anyone looking for similar games, These games belong to a sub genre called *"Immersive Sims"* Usually it's those games that require you to let's say open a door to get in a room, you can unlock the door, steal the key, kill the one with the keys, blow the door, or go outside and get through the window, the possibilities are numerous, let's say maybe there's a house that other games won't allow you to enter unless you play through the story, but in an immersive sim, there's always a way in, as long as it makes sense, meaning with no glitches, just using the tools and the abilities that the game gives you but it doesn't tell you just how many uses it has. Games like, Deus ex, system shock, prey 2017, arx fatalis, thief, dark messiah and ofc dishonored. But here's the thing, i really don't know why developers nowadays don't bother making these games, they're timeless games and provide tons of freedom and creativity, it's a shame they've been somewhat ignored. But fine, I'll just replay them.
I played the whole series several times over. Will continue to do so perhaps in the future. Despite issues, technical or otherwise, the whole thing is absolutely marvellous! Arkane would do well to revisit this series.
Played all Dishonored games (plus their extra content) for the first time a few months ago. Greatly realized world, art direction, and characters, and great replay value. Be sure to play Dishonored: Death of the Outsider too, not just up to Dishonored 2. DotO basically gives a nice conclusion to the storyline started from the first game. Recommend the whole series for sure.
I'd pick a good single player story and campaign over any live service multiplayer. Too bad the young audience lives for those cosmetics and skins and spend silly amounts of money on them
What l loved about the story of Dishonored was it was a story about revenge revenge stories are so great and compelling to play because you have a character who has everything taken away from him and it so satisfying to see him get everybody back that wronged him one by one it’s payback time and see him get back everything he lost is a great feeling
Dishonoured 1 and 2 are masterpieces, especially the first one for me. Good times, such a beautiful game and so many creative ways to complete a level. I love it. I think it’s art style and world building really hit it with me. Love the story and the lore of the world as well. Wish I could re live it with playing it for the first time again. 🖤
Just started and all I'm doing is looking for glitches with the goo gun or whatever it's called because it's way more confusing than We Happy Few or Fallout or anything like that 😭
It pains me that Arkane Austin was pitching a new Dishonored Game when XBox shuttered them. Imagine a new gen Dishonored from the division that developed Prey and Dishonored 1. It could have been awesome.
Love the Dishonored series. Damn shame we have not received a new game in the series. We should have had Prey 2 from Arkane as well. Then there is the Thief series that has been allowed to die.
Such a shame that after DOTO and Prey the Arkane studios focused on making a live service game that was hated and a roguelike with multiplayer elements that was overhyped. Now with Arkane Austin shut down, the industry has become a much sadder place.
Dishonored is great but Prey is exponentially better, for one reason. The level design. Prey being entirely in one place, the space station, makes for much better gameplay than moving from level to level to level. I think Prey is one of the greatest games of all time, it's in my top 25 list.
Unfortunately the chaos system really fumbled the replayability of the games. Because of it, I can't accept anything less than ghost/non-lethal, because my decisions are driven by 1) not wanting to get a shitty ending, and 2) not wanting to get a non-canon ending since playing one usually means I plan to play the series. Pretty immersion destroying to get an ending that's immediately contradicted when you start the next game. That's great for a challenge run, but not so much for a game that's meant to be enjoyed repeatedly, given you can't interact with many of the most fun mechanics without worrying about getting that shitty ending. Wish they would've skipped the moral "good vs bad" shit and made more morally complex endings for each playstyle.
In my life i first time bought pc and i started dishonored, in 1 month, i played dishonored once, but now i don't know how much time i played again and again dishonored 2,now i'm playing metro series, which games you recommend after then?
Arkane also made Prey, a very cool game of similar open options, where every enemy can be defeated like it was doom (seriously, you if you build for it you are noticeably stronger than the 2016 Doomslayer), or taken out like a small puzzle where you learn a weakness and pattern and then beaten no matter how otherwise weak your build is. Deus Ex Human Revolution is also a good game, a little less freedom, with somewhat more binary choices, but still lots of room to explore and find hidden things. Baldur's Gate 3 has an incredible variety of ways to tackle your problems. Fallout New Vegas definitely tries to give you a good amount choice in how you deal with and solve situations, but a bit more scripted in its methods of doing so. A weird option in Wolfenstein the New Order, an otherwise very blatant FPS game that gives you a surprising amount of freedom to attempt to stealth situations for it's genere, and has many hidden things to find. And not related to anything really, but Dragon Age Origins is always worth playing. Prey, Deus Ex, and Baldur's Gate 3, are likely your best bets though.
Why are so many people talking about Dishonored again? It's a good game but it's been years, what happened? Did you all remember it existed simultaneously for some reason? Did I miss something?
Damn Dishonored 3 must happen ..end the story ...this is one of the last games that are the level of legacy of kain, pop trilogy, bioshock 1 ...with vibes of old school quality storytelling and awesome world building.
Still worth to play Dishonored?
Yep, still an awesome game
YES !
Hell yeah !
Has one of the best and most satisfying stealth in gaming.
150%
Yes! Both games are great as well as the DLC. I still play these games all the time. Great replayability, lots of cool stuff to see and do.
*that one time shifting mission in Dishonored 2 is still one of the best experiences I've ever had in gaming..I think it was called A Crack In The Slab or something like that* 👌
That was cool asf

Level design is top notch

I couldn't get into them. But that could be because i'm bad at stealth gameplay 😂
same here as well
@@stijnvonck1431 Did you try playing on easy mode
@@goldenhorse4823 no, it's just too much stress to have to be stealthy all the time 😅
@@stijnvonck1431 I mean you can just fight. There are combat spells and charms, you can go full beserk mode

Preach! Can I get an Amen!?
Dishonored is AWESOME 😊
I miss Thief saga too :(

I do need to play this again. It's been gathering dust on my shelf for too long
Just played this, only left with Death of the Outsider now.
If you haven't played Dishonored 2, what are you waiting? Incredible experience, watching this video makes me to get back to this game now.

One of the best things ever in the world of gaming... Dishonored is ART.
please change the video tag from (Dishonored - 2012) to (Dishonored 2 - 2016)
I think the game *JUDAS* will be a mix of _BIOSHOCK_ and _DISHONORED._
I'd love a sequel to Prey (2017)!
That game was fucking awesome.
Just started and all I'm doing is looking for glitches with the goo gun or whatever it's called because it's way more confusing than We Happy Few or Fallout or anything like that 😭
dishonored and bioshock
GamingBolt knows that the best games are about infiltration, a shame that only Hitman is alive.
Victorian Era-referenced, I assume

That is why Days Gone is still one of my favorite game till this day
I would be awesome to play dishonored 2 from Delilah's perspective.
What I wouldn't give to see a classic legendary game...King's Field...remade in a massive open world fashion like Fallout/Elder Scrolls.
i loved the dishonored games they were really awesome and badass in my opinion.
l played all the games in the Dishonored series the series was amazing one of the best franchise series l ever played

Sniper elite nazi zombie army trilogy

I enjoyed the Dishonored games, a bit different. Could do with a sequel!😮😊
I don't consider Redfall a mìss step by Arkane. They were forced to make that sh!t.
I want a new Dark Cloud and Golden Sun and Fable
I want a legacy of Kane remake
The new Resident Evil game seems inspired by it.
I dare you to play Dishonored and make any other game your favourite.
I love your Videos!
Dishonored 1 > Dishonored 2
Prey was even better in what it does.
I just bought Dishonored 2 new physical diske for my Ps5 for 8€
The true shame is that in 2024 FOV slider still isn't not a normal standard to put in a console game.
It IS a shame we won't get games like this anytime soon.....thanks to Microsoft
To bad arkane austin has been closed so this won’t be happening.
Arkane Lyon= Dishnoured
Arkane Austin= Prey
Prey is just as good or better
Prey is good but Dishonoured is waaaaaay better
@afd19850 nah dishon is good tho but it's not prey
First half, no but 2nd half once you get powers, definitely!
Dishonored 1 is better than 2,Prey way more going on
I love dishonored as a game but it's story & theme isn't too memorable which explains it's lacking popularity.
Dishonored 3, unlikely in the foreseeable future. Unless another studio is at the helm.
Why? Arkane Lyon made Dishonoured not Arkane Austin that closed down. Arkane Austin made Prey.
LOL! Dishonored is a poor mans Thief 1-3. Shame we don't get games like THOSE anymore.
Reverse that. Thief is a poor Dishonored. Thief series doesn't hold up anymore.
Thief is mid 💀
Masterpiece
I found the play style to be too restictive. If youe anted to have any fun with the game at all you got slapped with the bad ending .
Dishonoured is so overrated. Stopped playing midway through because I was so bored.
That's a you problem.
@@rwentfordable Actually a you problem, because I don't care about you or your opinion.
Woke B.S has killed gameing

i want to watch this but i just started playing Dishonored 2 and i know theres going to be spoilers in this video so im not gonna watch it
