jack turnbull Amen! Very excited for Death of the Outsider and hopefully it sells well, maybe even moves more units of Dishonored 2 and Bethesda asks for Dishonored 3.
I've played Dishonored 1 & 2 along with Death to the Outsider. By far the best game I've played and always play them again! I love the idea of contract jobs in Death of the Outsider. You can do and explore so much!
I feel like I should point out that "dishonored: death of the outsider" isnt a "dishonored 3" like you say in the description It is going to be a stand alone game but its not gonna be the same size as dishonored 1 or 2. Its probably going to be like if they merged the 2 story dlcs from the 1st game
2:55 _" . . . particularly criticism of the treatment of female characters in the first game."_ That level literally takes place in a brothel. All the other female characters in Dishonored 1 are fine.
Ikr- if you are going to criticize how women were treated in D1, maybe look at the mini easter egg where you can find Pierro watching the maid in the bathroom while she is bathing and then walk in on her when he leaves the room...
Death of the outsider is so aesthetically pleasing, even though the first couple of missions kind of take place in the same area, it’s still genuinely nice to look at. Plus, they introduced contracts, which are always fun and a easy way to collect coin.
It's sad that he actually referred to her as a "critic". All she ever does is push her political ideology onto people, it has nothing to do with video games. I cannot take any channel that cites her as a real source seriously.

@@adrianalexanderveidt344 Lol i dont like her either, but she counts as a critic because she criticizes games. Your ideological bias of her not counting as a critic doesn't apply to everyone.

Fun fact: You know how you said Luke Skywalker was Harvey Smith's Childhood idle? Well in the first Dishonored game, in Return to the Tower mission(Assassinate Lord Regent) if you kill the propaganda officer before the next mission, if you go behind the hound pits pub before talking Havelock, and wait for a little. You can hear that the original propaganda officer was replaced by a female one, and she is in fact voiced by: Carrie Fisher.
Gameplay wise, dishonored 2 is better than the first game in every single way. It was an absolute joy to play, the world felt alive and fun to inhabit, and the npc's all acted believable. The story on the other hand did feel lackluster and weak. I never cared for Delilah, even in Daud's DLC story, so continuing her arc wasn't something I was interested in. Her entourage is equally as disappointing, especially the Alchemist woman who is only a relevant enemy because she's taking a potion that causes a violent, mind altering effect and turns her into a powerful, murderous, psychopath? That is far to uninspired a motivation.
Yeah, I didn't dislike as much as you seem to have but I feel like the name "Dishonored" itself plus the non-existant setup for a sequal in the first game limited them somewhat story-wise. As there is so much lore around the games, and with all the mythisism, I feel like there are better stories to tell then simply reclaiming the throne yet again. With no offence to women I also want to state that women in general make weak antagonists. Or Delilah was just unintresting in general. The lack of direct interaction with her and also lackluster explanation of what her motives was and why they were made her feel evil for the sake of evil.
The title of the game shouldn't force the developers to craft a story similar to the first game, just because they share the same name. Doing the same, tired old thing over again isn't something people are interested in. What makes Dishonored, "Dishonored", isn't a revenge story about a person who has been framed for a crime they didn't commit, attempting to right the wrongs done to them and reclaim what is rightfully theirs, It's about the beautiful, yet dark and eerie wold that you get to explore. It's about the being known as the outsider, gifting the powers of the Void to those that he deems worthy enough to use them. It's about the freedom of choice you get in every scenario you come across and shaping your own story, becoming the savoir or destroyer of the Isles. It's about showing the player that there is good in even the most vile human beings, and vice versa, forcing you to contemplate long and hard about how to handle removing them. The story can be whatever you want it to be, so long as the playable character has been walked all over and treated worse than dirt, but is capable of changing the world for better or worse.
I feel like the Outsider is a Cthulhu-Like Character From the Love-Craftian books. Everybody does Cthulhu wrong because you CANT kill it. its suppose to be an entity if i recall the books correctly. if i stated wrong then please do comment that!
The outsider is just some kid from thousands of years ago where they apparently dressed the same. The Void is timeless, locationless and mysterious but the Outsider was once human and represents that well
Such a beautiful game, the graphics are very nice and the story fits into my interest. I’ll say that Corvo has always been my favorite since the beginning, but trying all the assassins in the game were unique in their own way which makes this game fun😬😬
Game developers need to stop listening to Anita Sarkeesian, no matter what they do she will find something to cry sexism about, that's how she gets paid after all.
Odhrán if the game was supposed to be historically accurate, a man wouldn’t be able to teleport or stop time. Stop crying about women roles in games and other medias please
Big Dishonored fan here. All of these factoids were very entertaining. Even with all of my games & collectibles--my fav. being the cards--I didn't know half of these. But for the uninitiated, a more than one-second spoiler warning would've been prudent. All the same, great job!
I loved the character of Emily, and I wouldn’t change her. But they didn’t do anything wrong in Dishonored about women- that’s the kinda of dark, Victorian crap that made Dunwall feel so real. That crap happened in real life, and it added to the world.
Dishonored 3 should be a prequel by 1,000 years. Id love to see the downfall of the previous civilization, or try to keep it from crumbling for just a little while longer.
OG Outsider's voice actor was more compelling to me. Something about his cold and detatched delivery really made him feel like a mysterious god. Super cool and imposing.

I actually didn't care for the fact that the world was bigger and brighter. I liked that gritty dark feel. It didn't have the same strong feel as the first and ending felt flat. I did enjoy it but feel like they could have put more thought into it. Edit: the sisters of the oracular order weren't much of a threat and didn't seem thought out.
Whoever was behind the clockwork tower is a mad man. That entire level is beautiful, who every thought, why not just make the entire level one big brain game
The game Gemini: Heroes Reborn is a forgotten or even unheard of gem of a game, the entire game takes place over two timelines that the player has full power of, full freedom to travel between, as well as other time-related abilities that are extremely fun to use. It’s definitely either a huge coincidence or a big inspiration for dishonored 2’s time-y mission. Just beat that one myself now, felt very similar to Gemini
Dishonored is a masterful display of art and design. Both the game and the level design are so clever that the games are a delight to replay again and again.
The health elixirs know as S and J elixirs are from sokolov and joplin when they joined forces in the low chaos ending of dishonored 1 solidifying the low chaos ending as canon
Just beat the game for the first time yesterday with low chaos and I've already started a high chaos playthrough today. Incredible games, both 1 and 2. Crack in the slab had me so excited I had to show my fiance and brother in law the cool time travel concept. awesome experience.
Nobody should listen to Anita Sarkisian. Her argument about dishonored is non sense. It's like saying in Victorian England women were treated wrongly and therefore you can't make a movie or book about that. Just because you make a story about something doesn't mean you condone that behavior.. it means you are crafting a world that is exploring that. Nobody in dishonored is shown in a good light for abusing women in any way .
Its been 2 years but I feel the need to say this- since the mark is powered by the void and not the Outsider, the marks will continue to work as the void is still intact
There may or may not be a small reference to Dishonored's "tallboy" enemy in Wolfenstein II (Er, the one that just came out like 3 days ago; both published by Bethesda, so it's vaguely possible?) If you choose the Battle Walker later on after [spoiler removed] and do a small side-quest to help one of the people on Eva's Hammer (the woman trying to get her friend to take his meds) he says something like "Back off, Tall Boy!" if he sees you w/ the Battle Walker on (because they're essentially stilts that put BJ up about as high as a guard armed w/ the tallboy suit in Dishonored)
I've been looking for it too. All I found out was that the guy is Sebastien Mitton, the art director of Arkane studios and that he's in the Arkane Studios Headquarters.
Just for those who are curious; the 13-month 28-day calendar is something that's been proposed a few times throughout history. Having this setup gives a year 364 days while our own world has 365.24 (ish) days in a year. To compensate for the missing day it was proposed to have a "new year's day" which would be the 365th day of the year, serving as a global holiday. So the game really has the same year we do. Just different months.
Wouldn't it be cool if there was a prequel where you play as Vera Moray aka Granny Rags. She was marked by the outsider way before the cast of characters we know and I feel like there was something more to her.
Truth be told I wasn't a huge fan of the second game. Don't get me wrong I love dishonored and I appreciated the sequel which complimented my Dishonored 2 collectors edition but playing through the game I felt the characters fell a bit flat do to them seeming static or just unmemorable (unlike the prequel). As for the next game I'm quite intrigued.
Duuude i kept thinking during my whole playthrough that Karnaca felt so much like Spain! Makes so much sense now! This video is awesome, thanks so much
The woman were portrayed like that in dishonwred 1 because of the time period it was based off. Why does historical accuracy trigger feminists? Also I wish the protaganists talked less. Dont get me wrong I was really glad when there was a voice actor but they talk so much and a lot of what they say is really obvious and only in there to help player who aren't the brightest
MoseyMoseley Just because its not real doesn't mean it can't deal with real subjects. Dishonored dealt with plauges, murder, torture, the divide between the rich and the poor, and out of control religion. Why should should women just be free from that?
MoseyMoseley I still disagree. Most of the subjects I mention were "background decoration". It doesn't affect the story, it just a part of the world. I don't know how you wanted prostitutes to be treated, but I thought it was a fine way to show it. It was with consistent with the rest of the game. And the guards stoic personalities reflected Dunwall as a place. It's cruel and controlling. But you are entitled to ur opinoin I guess.

She’s triggered because women are mistreated in an *industrial Britain setting*

I fell madly in love with Dishonored, played it through eight times to experience every difficulty level and chaos level.. I also love Dishonored 2 and Death of the Outsider, it is just sad that they did not sell so well so we might never see Dishonored 3 but, I really, really hope we get more games for this franchise that is so loved by me and many others..
Fun fact: when you pick a certain character. Delilah freezes the other character. The reason is because in a crack in the slab mission. Delilah senses the other character that you didnt choose. Hense the reason she never thought you ever were a threat and locked you away
If they don't make a Dishonored 3 it will be an injustice to gaming
jack turnbull Dishonored: Death of the Outsider?
IAm Cyanide death of the outsider looks dope but I do want another Dishonored game to release eventually. What about you ?
jack turnbull Amen! Very excited for Death of the Outsider and hopefully it sells well, maybe even moves more units of Dishonored 2 and Bethesda asks for Dishonored 3.

Crazy how child Emily is voiced by Chloe Grace Moretz. Never knew that
I've played Dishonored 1 & 2 along with Death to the Outsider. By far the best game I've played and always play them again! I love the idea of contract jobs in Death of the Outsider. You can do and explore so much!
I'm just now playing through the series, and so far it's been amazing. I am currently working my way through Dishonored 2.
I feel like I should point out that "dishonored: death of the outsider" isnt a "dishonored 3" like you say in the description
It is going to be a stand alone game but its not gonna be the same size as dishonored 1 or 2. Its probably going to be like if they merged the 2 story dlcs from the 1st game
2:55 _" . . . particularly criticism of the treatment of female characters in the first game."_
That level literally takes place in a brothel. All the other female characters in Dishonored 1 are fine.
Ikr- if you are going to criticize how women were treated in D1, maybe look at the mini easter egg where you can find Pierro watching the maid in the bathroom while she is bathing and then walk in on her when he leaves the room...
Anita probably wanted hairy, fat and trans prostitutes at the Golden Cat brothel

Death of the outsider is so aesthetically pleasing, even though the first couple of missions kind of take place in the same area, it’s still genuinely nice to look at. Plus, they introduced contracts, which are always fun and a easy way to collect coin.
First rule of thumb when it comes to making games.
If Anita Sarkeesian see's a problem with it, that means it's good.
Luckily Dishonored 2 is awesome.
It's sad that he actually referred to her as a "critic". All she ever does is push her political ideology onto people, it has nothing to do with video games. I cannot take any channel that cites her as a real source seriously.

Corvo is blamed for the Crown Killer murders, and Emily is believed to be ordering them. Yeah, I'd say they were pretty dishonored.
Pseudonym did u never heard about dr.jekyell?
Of course I have, but that trope has been played out already. Besides, I was never a big fan of Dr. Jekyel and Mr. Hyde.
I feel like the Outsider is a Cthulhu-Like Character From the Love-Craftian books. Everybody does Cthulhu wrong because you CANT kill it. its suppose to be an entity if i recall the books correctly. if i stated wrong then please do comment that!
you are right about cthulhu but you can kill the outsider. a new deity of the void would be chosen but still
The outsider is just some kid from thousands of years ago where they apparently dressed the same.

Best dam games I have played since the thief series.
I hope they make a third game. I am very interested to see what they do next.
No, Billy Lush said on Reddit that he didn't receive a call for a role in Dishonored 2, even though he was the one that did the cinematic trailer.
Anton Sokolov made this lock
Dishonored is a masterful display of art and design. Both the game and the level design are so clever that the games are a delight to replay again and again.
I think Dishonored 1 was better than the second game but the second one is still good.

There may or may not be a small reference to Dishonored's "tallboy" enemy in Wolfenstein II (Er, the one that just came out like 3 days ago; both published by Bethesda, so it's vaguely possible?)
If you choose the Battle Walker later on after [spoiler removed] and do a small side-quest to help one of the people on Eva's Hammer (the woman trying to get her friend to take his meds) he says something like "Back off, Tall Boy!" if he sees you w/ the Battle Walker on (because they're essentially stilts that put BJ up about as high as a guard armed w/ the tallboy suit in Dishonored)
Im confused. So are Megan and Billy the same person.
Of course they are?
Why would you think they aren't?
ComicChaos yes, if you to her cabin toward the end of the game you find her mask and there's note from Daud I think in the cabin as well or elsewhere.

Cody Bigenho that's a fantastic idea!
Sounds cool but I'd rather have a sequel that progresses the story, i want to know what happens to the world after the outsider is gone, no prequels

Dec 2020, I just Finished Dishonored 2, my verdict: it’s an excepcional game in all aspects
Apparently victorian london had no women outside of whore houses
MoseyMoseley why does it really matter? It's just a game, why not focus on actual problems?
MoseyMoseley You sound like a liberal
About the chaos change: in the first game you kill your own guards which are thinking you are betrayed but in the second game you kill duke's guards
